I don’t think Jaylon said anything wrong like at the end of the day he’s a rookie and these are vets. I understand Caleb is a number one overall pic, but you still gotta earn the respect in the locker room. It doesn’t matter if it’s the Bears or just any other team. 🤷🏾‍♂️💯

Exactly! All he's saying is you gotta earn that respect amongst your teammates. They will know if he's that guy during training camp and if he is then respect will be given.

Youre just the starting Quarterback?? 😂.. Nah Man .. I love Jaylon Johnson but im betting that at one of these practices Caleb Williams is gonna beat him with a throw that burns him and that will be that. .. Respect earned.

I’m sorry but if Caleb Williams doesn’t have at least a decent year offensively, I think we can question something, not everything. You have a pro bowl running back, two pro bowl WRs, a decent TE. The bears have a 9th pick that can go OL or defense and then the remaining of their picks.
Again, he doesn’t need perfection but if you have all that talent and you win 5-6 games, the question now becomes what else do you need offensively? And how can we get the ball rolling for year 2. And before people talk about their defense, everyone says Wins are a QB stat let’s not pick and choose who QB stats those apply to, because hall criticized 10-28 Fields.

Expectations are HIGH as all of the hype he has been getting. The Bears won 7 games last year with Fields and Bagent with a no-so-good receiving core. He is supposed to be an upgrade over Justin. He has two top-notch receivers, solid TEs, and an upgraded backfield. I expect the Bears to win 10 games. If the Bears take a step back, Eberfeus might be gone, so the expectations are high. If the Bears don't win at least 8 games, it would be a failure.

    • @PeteZam
      @PeteZam 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

lmao try 10. if the bears defense was so bad, they woulda won 9 or 10 games last year. they blew a 21 point lead, a 13 point lead with 3 minutes left, and another double digit 4th quarter lead vs the browns. and they significantly upgraded WR, S, C and RB. plus they added depth and still have a top 10 pick outside of caleb. if he cant win 10 or 11 games, hes straight trash. a good QB would easily win 11 or 12 games with this roster and that schedule

What are you talking about Shady. Pay attention.
The Bears (8-9) were a 10-win team last year but for two questionable game losing calls by Eberflus - and that's not including the highly questionable defensive calls to green bay in the last game.
Now we have Swift and Allen, solid O-line and safety replacements, along with the cutting of Jackson (safety) and Whitehair (center) alone is addition by subtraction.
All Bears fans been hearing is this "generational talent" the league hasn't seen coming out since Trevor Lawrence.
So rather than collect a boat load of draft picks and build around Fields, Poles bent to national and Chicago media pressure, i.e. you can't pass on the number one pick twice.
So yes, Johnson is quite right.
This USC phenom, if selected., better hit the ground running son.

Jaylon is saying this because Bears gave up on a great leader in Justin Fields. Now, the new guy is coming in to lead the team already has an air of entitlement. That is why Jalon is telling him. He needs to earn it because he is filling in some huge shoes.

The Bears need to draft Caleb Williams, and then draft the best defensive tackle in the draft because if you can’t stop nobody you can’t win games no matter how many points you put up

Actually, in Peyton Manning’s rookie year, the first 8 games he had the worst QB rating in the NFL and the last 8 games, he was the highest rated passer in the NFL.
Caleb looks to be primed for an impactful rookie season; especially considering the talent that the Bears has acquired over the past two offseason’s. I thinks it wise to temper expectations for ANY rookie entering the league but Caleb definitely has the chance to turn in a special season💯

I feel bad for Caleb. The bears have done almost everything they can to set him up for success as far as skill positions. If he struggles he’s not going to get the pass other rookies have because this might be the best roster they’ve had in years.

He’s a good player and the bears have added some very quality players. I hope they have the right office and QB team for him. Can they help him transition into the NFL and develop him. There’s no big weaknesses in the NFL like at the college level.

i think he meant it more like he needs to earn their trust and build that chemistry as a team and not to expect it to be a walk in the park. JF had their trust and respect because he played his heart out regardless of what the roster looked like and he wants that same energy from CW. I get Jaylon isn't offense but he is a leader on that team and his words hold value.
