all this was, is JJ reaffirming that this was a 10 to 12 win team if they kept fields. because the bears had 7 wins last year, even though they had three historic 4th quarter collapses, blowing a 21 point lead vs denver, a 13 point lead with 3 minutes left vs the lions, and another 10 point lead late into the 4th quarter vs the browns. this team was in position to win 10 games last year, and they just upgraded 4 key positions with keenan, swift, byard and the new center, plus they added depth. and they still have a top 10 pick besides caleb. so hes just saying, "if you are as good as everyone claims, and we just gave up 2 to 3 first round picks plus multiple 2nds, 3rds,4ths or 5ths for you. then you better led us to no less than 11 or 12 wins. because thats how good our roster is, and if you cant, you are a bust and we should have kept justin and the haul of picks." as a packers fan, im glad the bears decided to not take a massive haul that most likely would have included another top 5 pick next year, and instead went with an emo that struggled vs any good defense he faced his entire college career. a guy that has all of the same exact flaws as fields. he sucks at reading defense. hes plays off schedule way too much. he constantly fumbles and gets sacked/hit. hes terrible when facing good defenses that apply pressure. and he constantly misses the short easy throws just like he did at his pro day when he was off target on 3 different 10 yard routes, even though he wasnt in pads, throwing to his own guys, with no defensive pressure, doing a routine hes practiced for a month straight, and he still looked bad on several easy short throws. gonna laugh so hard when the bears regress(even though this team should win 11+ games and be in the playoffs), because the bears are gonna bear.
Jaylon should or needs to understand the NFL is a business. It took Justin 3 seasons to win 10 games, with an administration that did not pick him. It should be understood they weren’t going to let a number one draft pick with a stacked quarterback class and risk their jobs on a mediocre quarterback. It’s not wise to create tension in the locker room with your new QB just because you like the old one. Players get traded… the ink is barely dry on his contract extension.
It’s all about processing speed. If Caleb can process information quickly enough at the NFL level then he will be good. If he can’t, then he will be in a similar spot that Fields is in now. Time will tell
This is like when Cavs players were getting Jealous of Lebron after he got drafted and were salty they didn’t get any attention untill Bron came to the team.
I’m really not sure what Johnson is trying to say. I get the locker room loved him and how tough he was, but let’s be real, he was improving too slowly for this team to want to commit long term money. The whole notion that they could’ve moved on from him if if doesn’t work out is loser mentality. That’s exactly how they got in a position to draft Justin in the first place. Bears believe Caleb Williams is more talented, otherwise they wouldn’t trade Justin. So it’s an upgrade on the most important position in the league. If Caleb even wins 6 games this year, that would be more than in any year Justin played
You can't put a quarter tank of gas in a car and expect to drive cross country. That's exactly what they did with Justin, they gave him very little to work with his first two seasons here. His last season here he threw for nearly 3,000 yards and nearly 20 touchdowns in a season where he missed four games. His only options this year were Moore and Kmet, and they both had career seasons.
Caleb is in prove it mode with the City of Chicago and it’s not just that, if Justin and the Steelers get off to a hot start and the Bears struggle, Caleb is going to hate this City!
The media took his words outta context & twisted it. JJ said they want Caleb to succeed and lead the bears to a championship at the end of the day but hes gotta earn his respect just like everyone else.
They love to hate on Caleb. I dont remember any of this type of talk with other top prospects. MHjr hasnt done a single pre draft event and theres not a word about him. Caleb shows up and people claim all these mysterious "red flags" 😂
Keyshawn is speaking for all the Justin Fields fans and bears football players @chicagobears they made a huge mistake trading Justin Fields and now ryan poles has a target on his back and whoever he drafts at qb
You are missing the point. Williams will get his chance. That is not in question. The point is how he gets to waltz in getting everything set up perfectly to his liking so he does great compared to the Cinderella step sister way Poles treated Fields. Clearly Poles knows how to nurture a young QB as we watch him prepare to work with Williams. Why did he not do so for Fields? Why did he not get a good offensive line for Fields?
@@tegridygone6185 that is widly untrue. justin was loved by the fans because of his talent. he is the second fastest to 2000 rushing ahead of one mvp and behind another. the fact is that the team was trash and it was a miracle they won 7 games. but then again i dont assume you are a bears fan. its easy for outsiders to talk, but if you watched all year you knew as key said that the problem has not been at qb, this team sucked six ways to sunday and without justin it would have been far worse.
@@TheJudasrising86 that's why i specifically said passing. nobody doubts his running ability, but he's a qb not a rb. he's a bottom tier nfl passer, plus we lost all the games that fields had big rushing stats

The Bears ended the season by losing to Green Bay Packers. The Green Bay Packers told everyone that JF1 can't play QB and they proved it. They took away the running Lanes, they took away the first read and they made him play QB. And he failed! As a long time Bears fan it was time for us to move on.
Chicago is stacked compared to almost every other team holding a first overall pick. And they got some more top 100 picks after they pick Caleb so yeah he got 0 excuses.
With Kennan Allen, DJ Moore, Swift, Emet, Everett. I think Brock Purdy could go in there in light it up. My point is you prob don't need a Pat Mahomes or a Caleb Williams. I understand the 49ers lost the Super Bowl, but If Brock Purdy could scramble like JF1, all those 3 and shorts would have been 1st downs in the 4th. Guaranteed....Now had they gave JF1, Kennan Allen, DJ Moore, MHJ! KMET, Evert and Swift, added another stud at 9, maybe LT...its a better team.
I agree, he needs to prove himself. But he is being drafted as a starting QB for the Bears. Whether anyone likes it or not, Caleb will be the leader from the jump. Give the boy an opportunity to eat and help him grow.
Jaylen’s contract might look a little different if they would’ve positioned themselves to pay Fields. He should know business is business. Was he willing to take a pay cut for the 28th ranked qb?
They had just tore the team down and started a rebuild! And Fields was the guy that had to deal with the pitfalls for the rebuild and get traded after the rebuild is almost complete, just to start another rebuild with a rookie!
@@MrGeeMoney1983Everybody on the roster that got playing time had to deal with the fallout from the rebuild. Some played well and got extended. Sorry but Fields simply wasn’t one of them.
@@jayceejackson3584 But everyone on the roster isn’t getting the blame for not overcoming it! No, but to think Caleb can do better with the same situation is ridiculous! Caleb might have a better season then Justin in Chicago, but that’s because Justin took the lumps to make it possible!
@@MrGeeMoney1983Open your eyes bruh. Fields was a holding place while Poles cooked. From the very moment he walked in he began getting rid of bad contracts. We lost some great players mostly on defense during this time. JF1 was never Poles QB so I hate this false narrative that they failed him. With that being said Fields still wasn’t good enough. His 4th qtr performance was the worst in the NFL during his entire career. Bagent also proved the O-line wasn’t the worst during his 5 games where he was sacked a total of 5 times. He did that being a D-II roomie with no first string reps. Caleb or Daniels be default will be better than Fields because he was just that bad. The rest of the league told us this by not offering anything for him.
Its so refreshing to hear Keyshawn's views on this entire situation. He speaks like a person with empathy and understanding who sees how Fields has been shafted by Poles. When Keyshawn speaks, its as if I was speaking. This whole Caleb Willuams thing seems too rigged. Something sbout it rubs a lot of people the wrong way. Even the giving away of Fields for nothing seems manipulated to satisfy a narrative that he is horrible, which he is not. But the most important thing Keyshawn said is the players in the locker room know what the real problems are and they know that Fields was not the problem. Ryan Poles set Fields up to fail engineering his rebuild on Fields getting punished due to horrible offensive lines and receivers never really committing to nurture the high draft pick Fields and having used him up, quickly gets him out of town so that he cannot be a threat to beat out Williams in a fair competition
He didn't have to make that a public statement despite it being on point. This kid is on your team. When Caleb shines, the Bears win. When Caleb struggles, the Bears lose. The city and now his own future teammates are acting like opps its crazy. This kid is QB1 and anything other than 100% support and dedication is unacceptable.
They could have started JF1, let him get his stats up...If he left in FA, prob would have gotten a higher compensatory pick than the conditional 6th rd(4th)..
Keenan Allen was at Caleb Williams' pro day so I don't think Caleb would lose the team if he was a Chicago Bear. He won't be as connected as Justin Fields, especially since Justin and his teammates were on worse roster, but then again, it's not like players like Jared Goff or Jordan Love or Josh Allen or Justin Herbert were beloved in their locker rooms, at least not like Fields.
Key….. please ….. let the man speak. I understand you guys have different opinions, but you can’t all have different opinions on every single thing. you overpower him when you disagree with him so please let him get away with more of his opinions and you guys will be unstoppable
The bears should of went for Kirk cousins ,they would of been contenders with Kirk for the next 3 years ,and got great talent in the draft to pair with Dj Moore and that defense ,but it is what it is
Bears definitely need to bring in a veteran. Quarterback.... I'm thinking tyrod Taylor or maybe even Ryan tannehill, although I think he wants to go somewhere where he has a chance to play.. I'm pretty sure Blaine gabbert is out there...

as a packers fan, im glad the bears decided to not take a massive haul that most likely would have included another top 5 pick next year, and instead went with an emo that struggled vs any good defense he faced his entire college career. a guy that has all of the same exact flaws as fields. he sucks at reading defense. hes plays off schedule way too much. he constantly fumbles and gets sacked/hit. hes terrible when facing good defenses that apply pressure. and he constantly misses the short easy throws just like he did at his pro day when he was off target on 3 different 10 yard routes, even though he wasnt in pads, throwing to his own guys, with no defensive pressure, doing a routine hes practiced for a month straight, and he still looked bad on several easy short throws. gonna laugh so hard when the bears regress(even though this team should win 11+ games and be in the playoffs), because the bears are gonna bear.
Key saying the same things i been saying it's crazy
Jaylon should or needs to understand the NFL is a business. It took Justin 3 seasons to win 10 games, with an administration that did not pick him. It should be understood they weren’t going to let a number one draft pick with a stacked quarterback class and risk their jobs on a mediocre quarterback. It’s not wise to create tension in the locker room with your new QB just because you like the old one. Players get traded… the ink is barely dry on his contract extension.
Bruh the bears needa prove themselves wym 😂
I’m a bears fan and you absolutely right💯
Absolute facts
The offense does yea not the defense
Keyshawn nails it every time!!!!
💯
It’s all about processing speed. If Caleb can process information quickly enough at the NFL level then he will be good. If he can’t, then he will be in a similar spot that Fields is in now. Time will tell
Keyshawn speaking the truth right here...💯
he also said that we as a locker room got to do whatever for caleb to be the best qb he can be but nobody mentioning that
This CHICAGO!!! JJ right!! 💯
This is like when Cavs players were getting Jealous of Lebron after he got drafted and were salty they didn’t get any attention untill Bron came to the team.
Born also proved hisself to the playoffs
lebron is 6ft8 250kg freak of nature coming out.
Jaylon Johnson is truly a genius. I mean, who knew that a rookie QB had to prove himself.
I believe Jaylon said it because that locker room and what they’ve been through got so attached to Justin.
Caleb is in prove it mode with the City of Chicago and it’s not just that, if Justin and the Steelers get off to a hot start and the Bears struggle, Caleb is going to hate this City!
Honestly something about Caleb is unlikable, I really hope he performs to his potential on the field but I dunno man
The media took his words outta context & twisted it. JJ said they want Caleb to succeed and lead the bears to a championship at the end of the day but hes gotta earn his respect just like everyone else.
I don’t care what ppl say for some reason skip will always be my favorite
They love to hate on Caleb. I dont remember any of this type of talk with other top prospects. MHjr hasnt done a single pre draft event and theres not a word about him. Caleb shows up and people claim all these mysterious "red flags" 😂
We've all grown jaded after seeing over-hyped draft picks bust time and time again, after everyone saying they were the next Brady.
@@chadwickermanfacts it's so annoying. All that hype for what
Keyshawn is no Shannon but he’s great for the show. Key is my favorite on the show
Keyshawn is speaking for all the Justin Fields fans and bears football players @chicagobears they made a huge mistake trading Justin Fields and now ryan poles has a target on his back and whoever he drafts at qb
Caleb better ball this season 😤
I don't think that it was Poles' call to trade Fields. It was a call above him or Warren even.
What is the last time chicago have this opportunity, let's chill and give this guy a chance to become the quarterback we all hope for.
Why did he not get a good offensive line for Fields?
bears fan hated the trade and now we know the roster does too. " no one wanted to see him go." dj moore.
50% of fans watched JF tape and knew he's a bad passing qb, the other 50% just like him as a person and production doesn't matter to them at all
@@tegridygone6185 that is widly untrue. justin was loved by the fans because of his talent. he is the second fastest to 2000 rushing ahead of one mvp and behind another. the fact is that the team was trash and it was a miracle they won 7 games. but then again i dont assume you are a bears fan. its easy for outsiders to talk, but if you watched all year you knew as key said that the problem has not been at qb, this team sucked six ways to sunday and without justin it would have been far worse.
@@TheJudasrising86 that's why i specifically said passing. nobody doubts his running ability, but he's a qb not a rb. he's a bottom tier nfl passer, plus we lost all the games that fields had big rushing stats
@@TheJudasrising86 i've been a bears fan for 38 yrs, and nobody doubts justins running ability, but as a nfl passer he is well below average
@@tegridygone6185 maybe but i just dont see how you arrive to that conclusion without real information. he has never really been in a situation where anyone could reasonably expect average qb play. i keep saying this is a year removed from 3 wins. this team is really really bad. no superstar qb would have been better. if you think tom brady would have led them to the super bowl your just delusional about the quality of players on this team.
The Bears ended the season by losing to Green Bay Packers. The Green Bay Packers told everyone that JF1 can't play QB and they proved it. They took away the running Lanes, they took away the first read and they made him play QB. And he failed! As a long time Bears fan it was time for us to move on.
Keisha normally like what you say man but you’re kind of dreaming and you’re reaching and that’s why you’re not a GM
Most players are intelligent enough to know not to say dumb sh*t like that creating unnecessary drama before the dude even drafted.
💯 You can't judge a book by his cover.
People will be saying they should've kept Justin
They should've kept justin flipped that pic
But hes not any good. Why does fields have such a cult following?
Justin field first five games put up enough points to beat any team but the defense grabber up more points than the offense did
Chicago is stacked compared to almost every other team holding a first overall pick. And they got some more top 100 picks after they pick Caleb so yeah he got 0 excuses.
Caleb Williams will already be the best QB the bears ever had
Yeah no he will be decent but he not gonna be the best
This quote taken out of context is brutal haha. Media is a joke.
he probably wanted to keep justin fields lol.
Nope. Just google his name and you’ll see what he said about fields leaving the team. He’s just a no nonsense type of player.
@@ChicagoDefense literally googled it and it says he was saddened by the Fields trade. Why lie ?
@@northsidecj you’re lying. I just read the google article that a Steelers fan made 😂
@@ChicagoDefenseNot sure about your assessment. Your command of the English language seems a bit off.
@@ChicagoDefenseyes that’s exactly what that means 😂 he was sad bro it’s okay if he wanted to keep him
Sounds like the players wanted Fields to stay
Just like Raiders w Carr!
Great question
lol where was this same when Fields was bottom 3 in all categories of a QB and rewarded the bears with 14 consecutive losses?
They had just tore the team down and started a rebuild! And Fields was the guy that had to deal with the pitfalls for the rebuild and get traded after the rebuild is almost complete, just to start another rebuild with a rookie!
@@MrGeeMoney1983Everybody on the roster that got playing time had to deal with the fallout from the rebuild. Some played well and got extended. Sorry but Fields simply wasn’t one of them.
@@jayceejackson3584 But everyone on the roster isn’t getting the blame for not overcoming it! Every talks Justin’s Win/Loss record, Passing Yards with no to pass to, fumbles with no O-Line and INTs while trying to make something out of nothing! Is Justin perfect?
Key on point.
Keyshawn 100% right
Its so refreshing to hear Keyshawn's views on this entire situation.
Jaylon Johnson had one good year, jaylon needs to just play ball!
Well, we've seen that Allan likes Williams already. So, he's got someone who's a vet in the locker room who can bring him along.
They could have started JF1, let him get his stats up...If he left in FA, prob would have gotten a higher compensatory pick than the conditional 6th rd(4th)..
The Bears signed a veteran QB - Brett Rypien. As underwhelming as it is, he has experience with Shane Waldron, the new OC
Skip is missing it, the bar is always high in Chicago because of the 85 Bears. The media is going to handle Caleb in a rough way!
Thinking about it, I agree with Keyshawn. Bears needs a veteran back up QB, not bagent, who's a second yr pro.
If justin would have done better vs. the Packers, the last game of the season, he would still be in Chicago. His last game was AWFUL.
Damn the bears about to have the entire world watching us under a microscope
Keenan Allen was at Caleb Williams' pro day so I don't think Caleb would lose the team if he was a Chicago Bear. He won't be as connected as Justin Fields, especially since Justin and his teammates were on worse roster, but then again, it's not like players like Jared Goff or Jordan Love or Josh Allen or Justin Herbert were beloved in their locker rooms, at least not like Fields.
College success doesn’t always translate into the league! Like Sharpe would say “ you got to update your resume”
Will never understand where this narrative that Justin became a different player the second half of last season came from
Why do they hate saying OJ..
nah the Keyshawn Johnson switch up is real, he was just really big on Caleb at USC. Now he kinda not supporting him
Good show
Reminder: Jaylon graduated from Utah haha Caleb owns exactly 0% of Utah
You guys are asking the Bears to be a smart organization. This are the people that traded down for Trubitsky and just gave a QB1 for a six pick.
Caleb Williams better pan out. He asked for ownership & all kinda other stuff. He gotta win. Nothing can save his career but winning.
Sounds like skip took Jaylon Johnson comments out of context. Plus he isn't Wrong.
They’re jobs are on the line if they don’t start competing and the applied pressure with the division being so good
We are very very much aggressive and negative. Its worse than Gotham City in Chicago
How can they say he wasn't part of the problem!!! Holy cow!!! Look at JF stats and tape!! Easy decision guys geez.
Key….. please ….. let the man speak. I understand you guys have different opinions, but you can’t all have different opinions on every single thing. you overpower him when you disagree with him so please let him get away with more of his opinions and you guys will be unstoppable
"keep the guy who was the starter as a backup and everything will be cool." - Key with the worst take ever.
Nah man Jaylon wrong you don’t speak about a rookie coming into yo team that way💯
He didn't say nothin wrong you wildin
He called the man Hollywood when in real life we never heard Caleb say nothing or act Hollywood he judging him off what the media say about Caleb
The bears should of went for Kirk cousins ,they would of been contenders with Kirk for the next 3 years ,and got great talent in the draft to pair with Dj Moore and that defense ,but it is what it is
I’m sick of Keyshawn I ain’t gone lie💯
Bruh stay hating on CW...And for him to be a USC Guy ..He must've took his Parking space 😂
@@mferbbq6071 definitely stay hating on Caleb like bro what the msn do to you😂😂
I got a bad feeling about Caleb if bears draft him and usually my bust picks really become bust lol
Bears definitely need to bring in a veteran. Quarterback.... I'm thinking tyrod Taylor or maybe even Ryan tannehill, although I think he wants to go somewhere where he has a chance to play.. I'm pretty sure Blaine gabbert is out there...
The Caleb Williams hate is ridiculous.
