Georgina Johnson, the creative polymath and author of The Slow Grind: Finding Our Way Back to Creative Balance, is encouraging today’s generation to be mindful with their time. “Taking things slowly and resting shouldn’t be a privilege. You have to check in with yourself,” she told us when we profiled her in Issue No.5 of our magazine. “It can save your life sometimes.” That was our first encounter with Georgina, when we spent the morning at her house in Sydenham, south London, and spoke to her about the importance of repair and regeneration. But, having fallen in love with her home and the second-hand objects within it, we went back for round two and asked her to share her Seven Wonders.

Her approach is so personal and sustainable. To me secondhand things feel more special because they’re often, effectively, one of a kind or close enough to that, and come with a story, a memory or an untold history. I like the joy with which she describes her life & space, and the sharedness of it - taking joy not just in the interior she has put together but in the nearby space her neighbours created in their garden.
I love how her PERSONALITY is imbued in her SPACE.
Her interiors are unique, inimitable and so engaging, just how a Home should be.
Also appreciate the cinematography in this, almost like shots you’d see in a stylish magazine 😍
