Won't be too watery because of 3 cups of water and only 1 cup of milk...
I feel that proportion of water and milk should be the same. If its 2 glass of water then it should be 2 glass off milk.

Why is it called cutting chai
@@manjulavallisha6337 Traditionally, chai was served in 2 steel cups which has been replaced by glass cups. these steel cups were placed one over the other and the chai was split in these 2 cups and were enjoyed by 2 people. perhaps, this act of sharing the chai gave its name as cutting chai.
