    What did you like or didn’t like from the Indie World and Partner Directs? And what event do you think Nintendo’s planning for September?

    Is sonic the hedgehog narrating 😭

      Nope. Just me. I'm glad you liked it!
      Sonic would probably agree with my assessment too though since he'll probably hate most of these games but his.

      Yeah, we've still got a year before we see GTA 6...

    As I mentioned in the previous video (which I accidentally deleted the comment while I was cleaning up my history as I mistook it for another Nintendo related video… My bad…), nothing too surprising came out from either Directs.
    First the indies. Some people have been stating that due to the failures of the AAA game market and industry, the indies were said to be the future of gaming. Unfortunately, we’re still leagues away from ever seeing that market growth. Most indie titles I see in these presentations are just trash and underwhelming content! I don’t mind seeing these devs make a profit, but ain’t that what mobile phones and pads are for? Were they really worth bringing over to the bigger systems? But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. The biggest issue I have with indie developers is the lack of dedication for continuing what they started! Sometimes indie devs come out with the kind of games that stand out beyond others. They get the game out, COMMERCIAL and CRITICAL PRAISE!… And they just stop and refuse future responsibility for a potential next entry. But even when some do, all they want to do is go back, take a step up, make a new IP, and then back again! I could go on a rant about indie developers and their questionable directions, but I don’t want to take up the whole conversation. What matters is whether or not independent creators are really trying to outclass the AAA giants. We’re still not there, and probably won’t be for a long time.
    And the partner showcase? Ugh! I can’t find anything so impactful from this presentation. What was the point in the partner showcases anyway, when at anytime, any third party could just come out and say, “Yes! This is coming! And no! It’s not!”? Not to mention third parties with hit titles have made wasted opportunities with the Switch! EA giving us sports content, where’s Medal of Honor? Microsoft (that now owns Activision) and Nintendo making deals, where’s Call of Duty (1-3)? Bethesda Softworks brought Doom and Quake, where’s Wolfenstein?… No, not the new ones… Ubisoft is facing a massive stock drop (for good reason too), why am I not playing Far Cry 2 on the go? Valve can’t count to 3 and have their head shoved up into Steam sales, they got both Portal games on Switch, but what about their more popular IPs? These third parties did not think things through and shot themselves in the foot.
    From this point, I begin to question the existence of Nintendo Direct. And I still stand for the idea that Nintendo should discontinue it because it has long its prime. If it wants to host presentations then they should do that with each individual game. I’m starting to justify the stealth drop approach they had since 2020… Even when that came at a bad time…

      Yeah, the indie and partner directs weren't much to look at. And I'm also baffled at why so many companies held back their prized content when so much of it would work just fine on the Switch if they just brought them to it. Hopefully, they'll jump on the opportunity with the Switch 2 and the directs are better in the future.

      Good catch! Yeah, it probably should have made the list... I've heard a lot of people talk about it after I made the video. I just haven't played it and didn't see the potential before. But I'll check it out and I might add it on another video of great games if there's more news that comes up about it.

    Apparently Pizza Tower doesn't count as a good Nintendo Switch announcement? THERE'S a good game you could find on Switch!
    Also, you still wait for Silksong. HAHAHAHA-

    • @AlkuntarGaming
      @AlkuntarGaming  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup. We can all like different games. Pizza Tower wouldn't count in my book. Not terrible. But not great either.
      And yeah, apparently there's a whole cult obsessed over Silksong... Not that I would know anything about that though...
