To their defense, if this was official and not a mod, people would be complaining about a lot of stuff. It's only because people know that this is a free mod, they are able to overlook its flaws.
I love the idea of being able to swoop in to help out another player being attack. Maybe helping them clutch an important victory and forging a bond of friendship right then and there. Like you used to be able to do in older shooters like Halo with it's social systems.
I agree, I love the feature.
This mod is a russian bs. Stay away from it. Also on a technical note: there is not much help in pve needed because it is too easy and the difficulty scaling stops pretty fast. Enemy cap 60 units player cap 180. Enemies - looters mostly which is the basic and weakest unit. Then there is limitations on the amounts of participants and the time limitation when someone might enter the fight to help. There is some group activities tho, but you need to arrange group in advance. And there is not much to do either way solo or group.
It's not 2010, all MMOs have zero social interactions until you join a guild. Also I got scolded for helping one dude in 1vs40 because he wanted to grind riding lol
didn't bother to help anyone after that
but that wont happen. you will go in. And 9/10 times the person will just be annoyed at you for restarting his battle that he perfectly set up to not lose units. Or he simply do the battle with you.. then click loot all and run off without saying a word since he's AFK idle on youtube on his second mintor while doing his mediocre farming method. Enemies Cap at 60.. so as soon as you got 61 guys. you can Alt+Tab and watch porn while you click anywhere on the map other then the pvp zones and you will never run in to anything that will attack you for as long as your not in a clan that has pvp/war with someone. Which is mostly pointless as people are fighting for nothing about nothing with nothing.
This game is catered to inhouse social clubs of closed community circles that only likes to hang out with themselfs and there people. Anyone else is either a NPC or an enemy to them.

I just want co-op of the normal sandbox+campaign.

This is pretty amazing! And if I remember right, several spin offs came out of the first Mount and Blade as full games that started as mods, so here is hoping this continues to grow.
i remember playing Napoleonic Wars when it was still a mod
holding out in the manor while amazing grace plays
gathering some guys and and camping out on the second floor of that fortified tower in the swamp/coast map, volley shooting anyone that comes up the stairs and the charging with bayonets
it was the most fun i ever had in multiplayer

The Deluge was also a great mod, comparable to NW even, but the playerbase wasnt there sadly, so at most you could get pve vs waves of bots
it was still fun, but NW with its pvp was just too good

Really depressing to see that modders are the ones that have to do this for a game that has been in development for so long, it's already older than most of it's audience.
What's worse is the devs don't care for modders so every time they update the game most mods break.
@@Lux_Ferox Yep. One example is Terraria's decision to come back and update the game after publicly declaring 1.3 to be the last update.
They ruined quite literally thousands of mods and made half of the very active modding community quit because of it.

There was kind of a thing like that for Mount and Blade:Warband (but the mod c-RPG and plugin of Strategus) where you could import your characters' stats that you grinded in the c-rpg mod and do battle for clans (battles, sieges and stuff) It was pretty entertaining in the peak days of the module. Whole clans reigning areas, mercenary groups being hired, roleplaying, honestly the best gaming experience i've ever had on a multiplayer game.

I would've looked for the 'hidden dungeons' the same way. Would not expect them to be marked so obviously
Hidden dungeons appeare when you get closed enough. but since they are 100% pre-determined spawns. and each city has 3 spawns. there's several maps on the discord to use to 100% know where the 3 locations are for each making it more of a tedious slow run to get to them then an actual hunt to find them. This mod for each cool feature it has.. it drowns it down in mediocre designes.
I'm sure the co-op campaign dream everyone has for Bannerlord is possible. Combine EU4's synchronized time speed control with Total War's way of having all players join/spectate every fight. Even if it's messy, everyone would love to have something even remotely like it.

Really? I feel the opposite. I played 3 years ago when they recently added the cosmetic banners. guild homes and the south pvp zone. And clans. Now they added companions? Some mediocre task. And a once per week pve event that plays out the same each time? If you go further then 50-100h in the mod you will start noticing how everything is the same. you play on the same maps.. enemies spawn at the same location. The hideouts has the enemy on the same spots. the quests enemies spawn and come from the same spots. Everything is the fucking same all the time.
Anyone that wants this massive immersive kingdome simulation will get so disapointed by this mod. As its pretty much a Singleplayer stat grinder with a inflated economy. Cosmetic microtransaction skins. And horse shit balance. It's a mod I get that. But there's so much crucial stuff missing to actually be what they are making it out to be. And there's so much abusive bullshit going on. They know they can fix it. but at this point it's more important to keep the patreon money flowing.

As someone that gets a thin glazing of sweat from slight exercise, I relate fully to Ralph and his slightly damp nature.
It’s a really fun mod I love to play it now and again. I would tell anyone do not make a clan though. Once you make a clan any player can instantly declare war and end your run in a split second without warning or preparation time at all.

This is one of the best looking mods I’ve ever seen for any game ever, wow this is cool.
Looks cool and even convinced me to buy bannerlord to play this (previously just had warband) though I'm currently reading the rules and i'm already getting the vibe that the way they handle the community is utter crap, here is a direct quote from the very second rule "If more than one person is playing on the same computer, then each of them needs their own Bannerlord Online account and their own licensed copy of the game." Honestly if this was the base game I would have refunded immediately (I am aware this isn't the first mmo to have this policy but that doesn't make it a good policy) I'll just have to hope and pray I don't ever have to interact with a mod if this is the kind of philosophy they adopt "in order to keep the game fun and safe for everyone we have sucked out any possible enjoyment you can derive from it! oh also if you displease us in anyway you are banned teehee!"
Here's another one directly from the rules "Being sassy to the administration/moderation team is prohibited."
For the forum/discord "It is forbidden to insult anyone on the discord server and forum." some people may argue this is an acceptable rule, I say those people are stupid and ugly.
"Administrators and moderators reserve the right to warn/mute/ban server members, depending on the current situation, to prevent violations of the rules!" Maybe i'm wrong but that sounds like they are saying that they can ban you if they THINK you are going to do something wrong even if you haven't done anything yet?
"The administration of the project can ban/mute you without sharing any details on the cause!" screams admin abuse and "we really just don't care about the playerbase"
You can't post "blood" apparently which i mean, sounds like screenshots of the game is a bannable offense then but maybe they just mean real blood, though I have no doubt they would also include art in that.

Really just all sounds awful to me, ik some people would be ok with it but communities like this tend to be pretty freaking dead in comparison to the actual amount of players, or maybe it is just me, either way I'm personally going to try and have minimal interaction with anyone in any official channel/chat, but if I end up getting banned for calling someone a butt that farts or just using too many uppercase letters i'll let ya'll know.
These rules are all the basis for every discord or game community , maybe you have never been in a game server before ? Because the rules aren't weird but you are .

There are still big problems with the mod that will keep it from retaining players, alot of people try it out but few stay long term. One reason is that the entire skill system that was supposed to balance the different archetypes against each other is gone. For example right now there is no reason to be on foot instead of a horse to get an advantage over cavalry in forests like in the basegame and bows are practically unuseable because they were balanced around skills that increase your aiming speed and so on and even faction bonuses are gone.
Large alliances will completely stomp new smaller clans and defend large areas with unique ressources forcing any clan to join one of the big sides eventually or remain clanless for pve. Alongside this there are too few admins to moderate around the clock so you sometimes have hours, usually in the night with the most vile and toxic incel chat going on.
The economy is also broken, food doesnt work atm so all food items are worthless while other items like armor and weapons are more volatile then crypto coins, the helmet you bought today for 30k could be worth 6k the next day and things you tought were cheap could be scalped and resold for 5x the price because there is no tax on the auction house to punish scalpers in case they were not able to sell their items.
While its amazing to play with other players, right now as it is the single player campaign is still the better experience, especially with mods.
So correct and your spot on with the large clans just crushing everything. Tried to get into the game myself, but the large clans just kill everything on sight and the smaller ones just rob you for cash.
What are you fucking new to video games? What a completely sheltered take for about half this comment. The first paragraph was spot on, but everything else is just part of the wildness that is online large scale interactions. That shit has happened with clans in almost every game ever, it's called being better. If you don't like chat, you can't just moderate it away, deal with it or don't participate. Markets are volatile in any game, shit happens. You just want everything cookie cutter.

@@GirolamoZanchi_is_cool solution to large clans crushing everything would be to model sieges closer to real life. theyre supposed to be able to hold off against larger numbers by making it extremely difficult to attack, would make large clans not have the resources or men to stomp multiple small clans in a row.. make it costlier to siege

Persistent Empires and Bannerlord Online are two different multiplayer mods
Crpg is fun but the whole repair cost system is very annoying/ discouraging for new players.
Everyday its just the same 7-11 players who use the server for duels (unless theres some event) so there isnt a lot of opportunity for grinding either.
At least that was my experience when I last played it (been a while tho)
It's dead already. Usually only one "Battlemode" server filled with overexperienced 2h-hack&slashers or horse archers. The most fun mode, siege, is gone.

I myself discovered this mod back in march of this year and spent almost 2,000 hours on it since then. I fell in love straight away.
Reaching the end game and having incredible fun PVPing with rival clans and alliances, expect to spend hundreds of hours lvling up your character and saving up money for the best gear. Although I have to say, once you reach this point, the options are limitless. Meta constantly shifts and as alliances forge and break over time, it makes it a very immersive system.
PVP is capped at 5 players per side, each player being capped at a maximum of 149 troops. PVP battles are limited to 1 reinforce within 5 minutes of the battle starting per side, and are capped at 1hr 30minutes per fight. Whenever the first player is killed in a round, a 5 minute timer starts till the round is over and the next one starts, which forces warbands to play aggressively and act.
Honing your own skill at the game is incredibly important too, the top players on the server are capable of killing hundreds of enemy units just with their own character, not counting in the kills their units made.
PVE enjoyers will find their own share of fun too, with Wildlands - south of Aserai and Frostlands - North of Sturgia offering a unique PVE experience which rewards you with a lot of money, although keep in mind these zones are both PVP zones - players can attack each other without declaring wars, and neutral players without a clan can be attacked too.
As for PAY2WIN, yes, you can buy gear for IRL money on Patreon, which you can then either use or sell on the player market - you cannot lose this gear and that's why it has decent value. Although, the items you get are nowhere near as good as the items that you can get by playing the game normally - none of the PVP players use any of the gear that can be bought with IRL money, so it doesn't give any competitive advantage. This Patreon gear is special in a way that you cannot lose it fights, so players cannot rob you for it, and it doesn't break, that's why it has decent value, so it's a good choice for PVE players, but sucks in PVP. Therefor, you can reach the end game a bit faster if you spend IRL money, but you can get to the same point without spending the slightest bit of cash and you will be at no disadvantage to those who did spend loads. All the best PVP gear is acquirable only by dropping it from playing the game, and you can lose all of it in battle, so in my honest opinion after playing constant PVP for months and being amongst the best players on the mod, no, this mod is NOT PAY2WIN, but rather PAY2 reach the end game faster.
Overall, this mod is amazing and offers thousands of hours of fun, although be prepared of hundreds of hours of tedious grinding before you get to the most fun part of the mod.

I played Bannerlord Online on day 1 of its release, loved it, but stopped after some time. Now it looks like they expanded it quite a bit, I might come back :D
they finally added clan wars castle sieges. dont know why this was not mentioned. Its a huged feature we can joinba siege with our friends each with his AI troops use trebuchets rams and towers and attack others castles !
Does it save game progress? For example i make army and get good armor if i leave game for 2 days or weak and come back my progress is saved?

Been waiting for what seems years for clan castle battles and ownership.
People forgetting TaleWorlds did the same with Warband, With Fire n Sword. The modders have always invested time in the game n kept it going
Me and my 2 friends tried this mod, we thought it was so cool at first that we could actually fight along-side eachother but when we started digging deeper into the gameplay we discovered we hated it. The fact that you have to grind to get a tiny amount of coins that can get you like 2 troops; loot you get from battles cant even be sold at a decent level nor instantly as its a player-based auction and many other tedius things. I do expect some hate from this but these are just MY OPINIONS so don't take anything too literally, I would of prefered the base game but with the added ability that you can fight along-side other players.

As a longtime Warband fan and an early investor in Bannerlord, I have to feel shame whenever I think of TaleWorlds and Bannerlord's development. Fans just wanted Warband, but newer. Instead, we got incomplete/missing vanilla features and a focus on "ESPORTS" that literally nobody wanted. I hope some other more competent dev team will endeavor to give us the sequel we deserve.

It 100% still exist. the gear is honestly pretty shit but simply cause the scaling is so off and through the roof now that any good boss event gear will stomp anyone but good luck getting that when they are 24/7 camped by clans. Most people use patron gear for cosmetic items when in town. As most mid tier gear has higher stats then the best patreon gear.
