I understand that the writers might wanted to challenge their relationship in this season so we can see how Nancy is challenging to accept Steve's change(because let's be honest the guy has shifted character). However, Jonathan had always been there for her. All three of them were students in the first 2 seasons who managed to express themselves and stop hiding behind a mask because of peer pressure. They all changed. Especially Steve. But Jonathan was the one who met Nancy in a difficult moment(Barbs death) and helped her accept her inner self and start her own journey. He was there for her, respected her by speaking truth to her about his impression of her, just like she did whe she called him freak. When Steve broke his camera was understandable but that was Jonathans way to hide, just like steve who was trying to be the alpha rich guy of a group of idiots and nancy her girlfriend and part of the popular kids. In that way, Jonathans help led nancy to help Steve in her way by breaking up with her. I understand that they are attracted to each other, but Nancy spent most of her time with Jonathan and grew with Jonathan. Jonathan had always been protective like Steve (but Steve didn't care about his people until Nancys break up when he realized that he actually cares about her /that was a big step).Jonathan had been the man of the house, a protective brother and a shy loner. In s4 was still a protective grown up but they just didn't handle it that good and he seemed weak the whole season. That gave space to stancy. I mean I get it but it is not necessary to happen. It is necessary to have a fight as normal couple but they lie to each other because the love each other and respect their future and career. In s5 they need to talk open and serious about their future in college and their motives and clear their misunderstandings.
@@finnick_odair_he_is1785 I couldn't agree more. I mean who doesn't like Steve? Who doesn't wish him the best. Let's face it, we have all been assholes in our lives and have hurt people but we grow. He needs to move on because he deserves it. Jonathan found Nancy in a complex situation of her life and shaken her to start her self discovery. Steve wasn't there. It doesn't mean that he didn't care about her or loved her but he was still trying to figure out some things about himself. I think everyone I agrees with Nancy being in dilemma in s4 because he actually changed. But I personally think that if someone watch the previous seasons, especially 1 and 2 Nancy and Jonathan got actually connected with each other and not just a romance.
@KenyaGirly oh my god SAMEE- like nobody can hate Steve? Mus sister does but like between me and my sisters one of them wants stancy i want Jancy and they other is like “uh I don’t care about her relationship much less the show but I don’t want Steve and Nancy to end up together cause this IDIOT can’t get over this girl who broke up with him more than a year ago-“ I mean and it’s true-
Nancy and Jonathan are perfect together! She doesn't have this chemistry with Steve so I wish the would drop the love triangle storyline. Beautiful video ❤
They have to be endgame, her and Steve are so disjointed. They don’t fit, they never did, it’s all based on Steve’s infatuation and frankly obsession with her.
@@narcistia No they don’t. Him being a good guy doesn’t mean he’s automatically owed Nancy’s vagina. 🙄 The dude is small town, so much so that his dream is for her to be a breeding factory for his kids, when she has far bigger ambitions and dreams.
you really got it right with this! the love triangle making a comeback is gonna be a replay of season 1 and 2: nancy retreating to safety (steve) when jonathan is unavailable. i have hope they will be together in the end. great edit 🥺
I honestly think that Nancy doesn't actually like Steve and they wouldn't work out the second time. For one thing, you can tell Steve wants a settled life with a stay at home wife and a bunch of kids (because lets face it, it is set in the 80s so it's highly unlikely that he will expect anything else). Nancy doesn't seem like the type of person who would want that, she's always been ambitious and by getting with Steve - if she were to stay with hime - she would end up becoming a housewife. You can tell Jonathan would never expect anything like that from her (he was raised by Joyce after all) and that he would support her with all of her ambitions. By getting with Steve, she would probably end up like her parents (which she never wanted). Also I know Steve has had a lot of character development since season one (like a lot) and I like him as a character but he is a very privileged person. He's not used to girls turning him down or leaving him like Nancy did.
If these the actors break up, then they can break off their on screen relationship but they can't break up Jancy when literally the word "cut" is said to them, the actors go and smooch each other by the vending machine
As much a I love Steve as a character I cannot in good faith ship him with Nancy. Imo Jonathan and Nancy are endgame. Yes they clearly have issues to discuss but that doesn't mean that they should break up. To me Steve will never truly get Nancy the way that Jonathan does. If Nancy were to get back together with Steve she'd end up just like her mother which is exactly what she said that she didn't want to be back in season 1. To quote Murray; "You like Steve, but you don't love Steve." She loves Jonathan
I love Steve but I want these two to be endgame. I mean when Steve told Nancy his dream, she told him it sounded terrible. Is that stance going to change now that she knows he envisioned her in the dream? Though Jonathan has to be honest with her first,
I feel like they kinda butchered their relationship. They were an interesting couple in the beginning but now we don't see them together enough to ship it.
First of all Stancy is toxic and Robin and Vicky are the endgame together if not mostly Robin gonna stay single or with Steve, Nancy has to be the end game!
They got the real shit .... The trauma ... 🙃 Tbh they are soo adorable together atleast better than both of those you mentioned Nancy isn't interested in "girls" as off now so it'll shut the plot especially when Robin and Vicky are meant to be together meantime Steve and Nancy are so toxic to ship
Jancy nation please rise
I love Steve as a character, I really do, but THESE two should be together, there just can't be any other way.
frr just look at them they r so cute together 😍

They date in real life so that likely spills over into their acting.
They have to be endgame, her and Steve are so disjointed. They don’t fit, they never did, it’s all based on Steve’s infatuation and frankly obsession with her.
Personally agree!
AGREED 100%

agreed
Disagree Steve is nice tho Jonathan knows Nancy a lot better Steve

I NEED them to be endgame

I love them soooo much ahhh!! I’m so happy we got endgame AGAIN. I REALLY THINK THEY CAN MAKE IT 🥺🥺❤️ I hope they do
If these the actors break up, then they can break off their on screen relationship but they can't break up Jancy when literally the word "cut" is said to them, the actors go and smooch each other by the vending machine
I swear I need them in the endgame I also would also hate if they broke irl then broke up in the show
Why can't the Duffers stop hurting them??
My favorite couple ever love them
I love them together so much

What a beautiful edit 🥺💔
MASTERPIECE
this is so so beautiful 🥺💜
Nancyxjonathan FOREVER!!!
they belong together, i’m suing if they don’t end up together
the best
I know this is off topic but when Jonathan smiles it reminds me of pennywise
I love Steve but I want these two to be endgame. I mean when Steve told Nancy his dream, she told him it sounded terrible. Is that stance going to change now that she knows he envisioned her in the dream? Though Jonathan has to be honest with her first,
I wanna them can together forever don't break.
GOOD WORK
1:09
i love steve, but him and nancy don’t really make sense. murray explains this better xd
Loved this edit ❤️
I could write a whole book on why jancy should be the final ship
Can you post another edit of them with the song in my veins by Andrew Belle?
I love them sfm
I feel like they kinda butchered their relationship. They were an interesting couple in the beginning but now we don't see them together enough to ship it.
in s5 they'll most likely team up again
¿Song?
Pieces
i can't believe people still want them together lmfao it's gotta be either robin or steve
First of all Stancy is toxic and Robin and Vicky are the endgame together if not mostly Robin gonna stay single or with Steve, Nancy has to be the end game!
NOOOO
They got the real shit .... The trauma ... 🙃

This shows you've never actually watched the whole show
