They are so underrated I swear. Definitely endgame if you ask me. Their personalities work together so well, and they have both grown in different ways that make them understand each other better. Every scene this season together made me scream, especially when he was talking about what he wanted his future to be like, and how she helped him be able to ‘crawl foward’. Endgame to me
They've always been endgame i remember when they broke up I even told my friends Steve would become more mature and Nancy will grow as well. The tension between them this season was so frustrating this slow burn thing 🤣
Both Steve and Nancy made mistakes, they are just 15 16 at that time. Some people say Nan doesn't deserve Steve cuz she slept with Jo before brokeup with steve. Yes I agree. So I think in ss4 even she realizes that she loves Steve (we cant deny that fact, obviously smell the love in the air when they are together), she didn't do anything cross the line like hug or kiss or sleep with Steve. I think she needs to end with Jo first. They are both grow up now and they know who they truly love.
I wish I could say I've always *known*, but it was more something i always thought about as a "this would make PERFECT SENSE, but the duffers are obsessed with jancy so it'll never happen" kinda thing. s4 almost didn't feel real to me because it was something i built up as headcanon for so long and now it's actually real 😂 even if they ultimately don't end up together ( they SHOULD, but who knows with this show ) the fact that the show fully acknowledged and showed us that Stancy could have been incredible if they got together at the right time is like... pretty awesome.
I LOVE this song for them, if not just because Stancy really has NO chill when it comes to jumping into something literally insane to keep each other safe. I remember being so frustrated about how much they isolated Nancy from literally everyone but Jonathan in s3, but then Steve t-boned Billy's car to save her, and from a shipper standpoint I was like "...alright I can work with that" lol this is an awesome video though, great editing!!
I am sure that at the end of season 5 they will be together, because it makes no sense that in season 4 Nancy and Steve have had a development in their relationship, and that two characters (eddie & robin) realize the love still exists between them (N&S), So I know they will be together in the end. well, i will keep my hope. 🤭
I recognize that Steve alway been there for her. Ss2 even he knew that she didn't love him, he said its ok, ss3 when billy almost hit her by car, steve was the one who save her, and now ss4 their chemistry is on fire. Im so touched when watching his confession in ep9. About Jonathan, sr but I never feel any vibe between them even in ss3 when they were a couple
Stancy is officially one of my favorite ships of all time. And I’m also a fan editor and this is really hard to explain but Stancy is very “edit-able” like their whole journey is so beautiful and their chemistry and quotes for their ship are *chefs kiss* “That was as unambiguous a sign of true love as these cynical eyes have ever seen” .. like you just can’t compare them to anyone, they are superior. I’m feeling this spark of inspiration to write fanfic about them too. I feel biased now because I want Stancy endgame so badly, but before season 4 I was mostly neutral about Stancy/Jancy. Because I never thought Stancy would get another chance and Jancy was always so MEH to me. I figured they’d be endgame and they’ve always been so boring and lackluster to me. But when I was watching season 4 part 1 and felt the sparks flying between Steve and Nancy, I pretty much had an epiphany moment where I realized Stancy endgame would be sooooo much better for the story. Jonathan/Nancy are trauma bonded, and they don’t work at all when the apocalypse isn’t happening. We see them fight all of season 3 until supernatural drama starts happening. And he’s lying to her all of season 4.. they’re just a mess. Stancy is the epitome of the “right person wrong time” ship.. they’ve both grown up and become their best selves and they’re naturally being drawn back together because they’re finally ready for each other. My ideal outcome is Stancy endgame, but if Nancy ends up alone going to college, I’ll be like “ok fine 😭” but if there’s a Jancy endgame then it’ll only be because the actors are together IRL. Stancy is superior in every way (chemistry + storytelling) And I’m disturbed how many Jancy supporters I’ve seen comment that they want their endgame because the actors are together in real life. Stuff like that is what makes fandoms toxic.. learn to SEPARATE actors from their characters.
i'm just seconding everything in your entire comment! jancy feeling meh, how it's painfully clear they don't work as a couple, because of how much they fight when they don't have a common mission/goal. them LITERALLY saying that they *don't understand each other* anymore. jonathan only cares about the events going on when his family's in trouble, and while that's perfectly reasonable for a literal teenager, it's just another point towards why he and nancy shouldn't be together. and it's always, always frustrated me that jancy fans seem to think that murray ( who had no idea who they were, had never met steve, and was actually pretty damn creepy about butting into these teenagers love lives ) was "right all along", and that his call-out alone was enough to justify the show bulldozing stancy to make jancy happen. i actually liked the dynamic jancy had in s1, it was subtle and interesting, so then to have it shoved towards a romantic relationship within the first 2 episodes of s2... it always felt so rushed and forced. and it definitely didn't help that the duffers never seemed to know what to do with jancy after that first kiss. especially nancy! who's my favorite character, so i'm obviously a little defensive of her, heh. she just felt SO inconsistent in s2, and it was definitely in the interest of making jancy happen. so that wasn't great either. the only other thing i wanted to point out was how much i loved nancy's side of the "that's why i love him!" scene, in s4e1. because it so clearly had nothing to do with jonathan AT ALL 😂 it's hysterical that jancy fans really think she was talking about jon, when like... literally every single thing she listed describes steve, and the person he's become over the last few years. like, if we had to show examples of both boys matching with each point she makes, steve hits every single one, and jonathan hits MAYBE one. or two. it wasn't even subtle writing on the duffers' part! it almost seems to good to be true, but maybe the duffer bros figured out that maybe they shouldn't have forced jancy along so quickly, just because the actors started dating. that's how it's always felt to me.
I love Stancy precisely because you see that they have a lot of chemistry, I think the Duffers spent a lot of time exploiting the couple of Jonathan and Nancy, which for me feels very worn, boring and repetitive, Jonathan only focuses on being Nancy's boyfriend and nothing else, just like Mike in Mileven, watching Mike and Eleven bores me just like seeing Nancy and Jonathan together is so boring. And with Jancy, Mileven and Byler I want to say that I don't endorse any of these ships, I don't care about any of them.
@@gwenzelle65 Exactly, I also thought the same thing in that scene when Nancy talked to fred and said the qualities of why she loved Jonathan I thought of Steve, and it made me laugh because Nancy and Steve had not seen each other yet, I did not imagine that Nancy and Steve would have again feelings for each other or at least I never thought it was something as strong as what they have. I thought they would be friends like Robin but I never imagined they would have so much chemistry and tension, Steve seemed more like Nancy's boyfriend than Jonathan LOL. For me Steve protects her, fights for her and loves her more than Jonathan.
Some people hate Steve because he wants 6 kids with Nancy. But that's not the point of what he is saying. He dreams of a big family, because maybe he has always in lack of the familial love, we don't much about Steve's home life but it's implied that he doesn't have a good relationship with his parents, even tho he's their only child. 6 kids means the 6 main kids of the show, tho Erica is iconic but she is not in the main 6. Because he has interacted with all of them one way or other and he cares about the kids. 3 boys and 3 girls mean that he doesn't distinguish between boys or girls, they are equals in his point of view. And that's some character development trait he didn't have in S1. And last but most important part is Nancy. He is saying that he dreams of a future where she's is always there. He is saying that he can't dream of a future where she doesn't exist in his life because she is the most important part. He is saying that he dreams of a future where they are committed to each other where there is love and forgiveness and no guilts and no regrets. And if a man sees a committed and love filled future with a woman means that man loves that woman truly and desires that they are together in every aspects of a life. In other words it's another way of saying I love you. See, whatever he said has symbolic meaning. They are not going to have literal 6 kids or whatever. It is a dream of a very distant future not a 3 years later thing. No one has forced her. Steve isn't forcing her of anything, he is just telling her. And Jonathan loves her and isn't forcing her of anything. Now it's upto Nancy who she wants.
Couldn’t have said it better myself. It’s not Natalia and Charlie. It’s Nancy and Jonathan and they really have never been much too me. Steve and Nancy have always been my favorite but there is a ridiculous amount of people that hate on the ship. I really hope they are endgame

Especially on Steve’s part that man has risked his life to save Nancy several times
