For me the gun's extremely inconsistent. Sometimes it's an OHK out to long range sometimes it's a hitmarker machine. Coupled with a low RoF and horrible aim (for me) it makes for an excellent way to get killed. I prefer the 12M.
I know the 12M is better but I’m trying to go with originality and prove myself I can be good with the shitiest of the guns of the game :p
I love the mcs-880 and use it all the time. But what gets me is the reload animation can't be cancelled mid reload to shoot. I can't count the amount of times I've died because I couldn't fire back in the middle of a reload.
Thanks for the tip to try to stand still when you shoot it makes it pretty consistent and good
While I'm getting more use to the gun as I use it more, I have a very hard time getting 1 shot kills. Even if the reticle is on them or in sight completely, and it is unloaded almost point blank it never seems to OHK. It's very frustrating. I see streamers getting OHK's out to like 20 m and I dont get how

Playing TDM to grind this gun. May get 15 to 25 kills per match but it’s quicker then playing full length matches on AOW to get the same amount of kills
This gun never one shots for me with this setup
Same for me tried all bullets against bots and nothing give oneshots
Same bugs on my ps5 ++ heavy crashes
Your circular targeting reticle is about two times bigger than mine. How do you do that?
2 years late but the circle size depends on what buckshot you're using.
@@tobiramasenju6290 Late but still a good answer! It turns out that the problem was that I was playing on PS4 and I now know that this shotgun was glitched in the PS4 version, making the reticule tiny. One of my proudest achievements in BF2042 is that I managed to get the MCS-880 to Tier 1 entirely on PS4 even though it was buggy - this took a *lot* of time, patience and bad language! Cheers.

I have needed use 2 shot for kill and you one shot?
Same the weapon is broken all boody hits are must be a 1shot
I just don't get the point in using shotguns in the game at this moment in time, the maps don't flow well enough to use them.

EA with Easy anti cheating software are abandon players just because they are using RGB mouse and keyboards...is that really happened to anyone >!!?
