@ShotsMerkzAll that's fair. To each his own... I'm in my late 30s so I don't collect Polo like I used to. I'm also not a millionaire so I can't afford to buy a shitload of Purple Label. I have a few pieces that I've gotten on sale when the Polo Mansion in Manhattan has sales. My original point is that this collection is decent but nothing to write home about. If you're interested in the Polo subculture, I suggest seeking out a documentary about the Lo Lifes crew/gang that was aired on public access here in NYC about 10 years ago. It goes deep into the history/origins of the obsession with Polo in the early yesrs Hip Hop music. There's an underground rapper named Thirstin Howell III who was kinda famous (had a song with Eminem back in the day) that was one of the original members of the Lo Lifes. He has a video on TH-cam showing off some of his Polo collection and its wild.

To keep your sweaters in top notch condition, avoid hanging them as much as possible so they don’t get stretched. Your collection is amazing, mate

Very interesting pieces you have there. So do you think purchasing anything from current Ralph Lauren is worth it? In my opinion purple label is fantastic quality, but it's very expensive and probably not worth it unless there's a sale, if even then. They do have some interesting styling that it's hard to find though. Regular Ralph Lauren seems kind of medium or varying quality, but I find that for around the same price you can usually buy high quality, genuine UK or Italy made clothing. I generally like the aesthetics and style, but it rarely seems worth it. Nowadays the brand seems more like a pricey medium level quality brand for people who don't know any other classically oriented menswear brands.

I got lucky - My grandpa let me look through some old clothes he never wears or hasn't ever - My eye caught a red knit jumper on the top shelf and I was stunned to see the RL'01 Executive Bear knit in red, The same one Kanye wears on the College Dropout cover - sitting on the top shelf for at least 20 years!

Ive got the old green mallard jumper in L, but mine has the original blue materials label (lambs wool, wool, camel, alpaca, such good quality). Seems like yours has been replaced with a white materials label, wierd, did Ralph Lauren do that?
