What do you do if you’re ordering a saddle? A wade tree saddle? Can’t find 1 to sit on.

Hi! I apologize for the delayed response, this one slipped by me. We don't recommend ordering a saddle that you haven't been able to sit in. It is best if you can borrow a saddle to try before ordering a style you haven't ridden before. If you can't borrow one, sometimes buying a used one to try out works in your favor. You can always resell it later.

It always amazes me that this information doesn’t seem to be common knowledge these days.

Do you mean that is a seat measures 15.5 inches (like you measured in this video) that a person can add on an extra 1/2 inch to the measurement since it isn’t a swell fork?

Hello! I apologize, the wording in the previous reply is confusing. Many saddle makers will say that if you ride a 15” swell fork, you may want a 15.5” Wade. It can depend on if you intend to use bucking rolls or other factors. I hope this is more clear!

Oh darn. Based on the way you show how to measure a saddle here, I bought a 15.5 inch saddle (that I love)! I think I really need a 16 inch. That’s why I was hoping you meant an extra 1/2 inch is added on… I like how it feels but am worried it’s too small for me (It actually is too small with the bucking rolls on)… Sounds like I need a 16.5 inch saddle then… Thank you for your answer!
