  • This week we visited National Trust Mottisfont in Hampshire, Southern England. An 18th century, romantic house and gallery with riverside garden and a medieval priory at its heart. As always, we visit it to find out what it's like, if you should go, and if it's worth the ticket price!

Looks absolutely beautiful. The gardens and river in summer must look amazing. The trompe l'oeuil in the whistler room was stunning.

Loved watching the trout leaping out to feed. A really great day out.

Wondering if you can do the river walk and see the spring for free?

Unfortunately, from memory, I don't think you'd be able to. I think the path up the river is only within the land of the house that the National Trust owns. Plus, paying towards the National Trust helps them maintain these amazing historical places that would otherwise likely fall into ruin. Thanks for watching! Matt and Issy
