- To commemorate the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Taking part were five pipebands from the old county of Banffshire, Banff Castle Pipeband, Portsoy Pipeband, Buckie and District Pipeband, Strathisla Pipeband and Aberlour and Community Pipeband.

I just love that this massed band has pipers so young they are nearly dwarffed by their pipes marching beside venerable veterans. Stupendous.
The music is stirring My 93-year-old blood as I listen to the magic of the bands. I emigrated to Camada but I missed Scotia so much that I brought my family home. This music is instilled in me & it gives me goosebumps. I never truly thought of this until I went abroad. Thank you.

Banff is a Beautiful place, had the privilege to visit a few years ago,absolutely a fantastic part of Scotland.
Thanks for sharing wonderful music and also the first time of seeing so many different colorful kilts, in the same marching platoon.

Sitting here in Germany in my living room with flipflops on (it's still fairly warm even in early Nov 22 - global warming), I'm five seconds into this and already I'm marking the beat with the toes of my left foot. You can take a Scot out of Scotland, but you can't take Scotland out of the Scot.
Fairly warm my arse was in Berlin for a couple days only back yesterday and was pissing ice cubes.
@@Userrrrrr_rr Berlin has different weather. I'm 600 km away from there in the Rhineland.

Not the best filming, just on my phone but it was good to have the freedom to capture the atmosphere.

I never played with the Banff Banff pipe band apart from the Pageant in 72 aged15 but used to attend practice in the town house building at the Plainstones. No Scottish pipe band should have a Union flag anywhere near it. Have people forgotten the atrocities that was inflicted upon them by the country south of the border!
Love it but then I was born and brought up in Banff
here we go thousands claiming scottish ancestry scottish born but living elsewhere it happens every time someone uploads a pipe band on you tube iam born on skye 75 years ago and never left my island and still playing us skye people has

That young lad was actually a girl, I felt sorry for her once I played back the recording, wish I'd been just a bit in front. Great to see so many youngsters in the bands though.

Lovely to hear this...though they should have expanded their repertoire a little...for starters Scotland the Brave. Didn't hear that. Should be compulsory. Also The Black Bear...even C grade country/suburban marching pipe bands have gotta play these gems.

Who is that little girl??
I don’t know but she plays in the Banff Castle Pipe Band. Most of the local bands have youngsters playing which is great for the future.
@@royzee28 As i watch again i also notice skank legs in white and scarlet stockings. My respect to the bands to let them join even if the legs are to short to march properly.

Second tune is "The Barren Rocks of Aden" I will need to check on the first one.
I appreciate the Band however; the people marching behind could at least been in step . This would drive me crazy if I had been in this Parade !
