It seems wrong that Ragnarok mis-microed that bad it honestly feels like an obvious throw. No gsl player of this caliber would make that kind of strategic mistake, using half his lings to attack the few helions and scvs. It's incredibly suspect.
GUMIGOD made this season so fun to watch. What a special little run, sad to see it send but Ragnarok is a deserving player as well. No bad story line this season!
I think its the micro, not macro. Ragnarok actually looking great at setting up the units and come to surround the opponent army. DRG makes a lot of "A-move" type where his army running in a line and get shot down easily.
SPOILER: Gumiho should have played a bit more textbook style like in game 3 and 4 and he might be able to really comeback for the 3rd time. Damn, very good try Gumiho almost making a 3 times comeback streak!
Gumiho made the mistake of taking the 4th before adding 2 more factories for more production. He could held what Ragnarok threw at him had he had 10-20 more supply.
As a maru fan, i am not saying Ragnorok is not good or anything, but his story and 10 years journey is so sentimental that I am so worried that Maru will just let Ragnarok win. :D I want Maru to go all out, 200%: win or lose in the final, I will be satisfied.
3rd game seems borderline fucking scripted. Never could I ever believe that a player who can make ro4 gsl mis-manage his units to that degree, he could have absolutley crippled gumiho with the roach attack. Gumiho's defense was very good and highly strategic to use his scvs and helions to defend the natural but thats when you ignore them run up the ramp and fight with your roaches. Honestly 3rd game is incredibly suspicious.
I don’t understand the last game... spoiler warning... Why did Gumiho go back to some cute strategy when he was so good and winning standard?! We could have had Gumy vs Maru! SMH
That map is actually pretty good for BC Mech play, Maru played Mech on that map before. Its just that Gumiho made the mistake of doing exansion too early and not enough unit to defend.
@@Maelthorn1337 I started with SC, and whe SC2 came out I never went back, being able to use bio vs toss units was the best thing ever happen, SC Terran is restricted to go bio vs toss. U have to go mech, ...I just wanted more units, I got tire of the same units
@@junevue9665 I can understand that. It's possible I never gave LotV enough of a try, but I just didn't care for the extra workers and more "micro" focused gameplay. Also from the handful of pro games I've watched of SC2 recently every match-up looks the same to me. Every race always builds the same unit compositions for each match-up. I'm not experienced enough to say what units or builds are viable though.
Just happy the GSL IS STILL THIS GOOD
48:55 I still cannot believe GuMiho atcually held that. Absolutely outrageous

Man, that was SO hard to watch while cheering for both sides at once! This and the DRG match...man!
I've always been a fan of the other finalist but I must admit, this time I am a little bit torn...
I really liked the opening edits for the players.
Bowlcut meta remains stronk
Kind of a big difference between how well ragnorok is macroing vs DRG. Rag got enough ling bane to overwhelm gumiho while DRG got overwhelmed instead.

game 1 starts 15:15
dammit I thought he was going to win, that would have been great
Ragnarok, future GSL champion!
absolutely need an interview with ragnarok about game 3 that was a complete throw, and I can't believe he made those mistakes honestly.
I watch old gsl and pretend artosis never left
that poor guy spending his 30th birthday on GSL...a tear rolled trough my face
Super Saiyan GuMiho versus Perfect Cell RagnaroK
*Spoilers*
DANG GUMIHO NEARLY PULLED A THREE-PEAT REVERSE SWEEP!! I so badly wanted him to make the finals after his crazy Ro. 6 performance.
SPOILER:

the look on ragnarok's face after map three is perfect, gotta love seeing a terran do this to a zerg in 2023.
AHHHHHHHH GuMiho soooo gooood thooo!
RagnaroK looked great! Hoping to have a competitive finals. Let's go!
M&M 2 in a row lossing vs full psi ling ban hydra?
Go Rag, Get that first GSL Finals. He looked stronk 💪 💪
1:17:20 song name?
Oh, well...Gumiho gave it a good go.
Great games!
GuMihooo eres mi terran favorito
Gumiho forgot hellions turn into hellbats apparently
why does gumiho play with his mouth open the whole game?
Probably just an unconscious thing he does. When I was younger my mouth kinda hung open on its own when playing games.
GUMIHO TE AMOOO
I thought this was ASL and I was weirded when I saw tastosis with a suits
T.T it was another case of too fancy, so great games
1:50 Hahahahah tasteless's tie

Noooooo Gumi! I want mech to work so bad

It's really weird how boring this game looks after getting back into Brood War.
Brood war boring asf, clunky wacky same units.......boring
@@junevue9665 As some one who started with SC2, I made the same arguments. But for some reason it's just more satisfying to play and watch.
