It's because of Raoult's law which states that when non volatile solid is added to a solvent, the vapour pressure of solvent decreases because the solute prevents most of the vapours from escaping. Thus more heat is required to make the lessened vapour pressure to be equal to the atmospheric pressure therefore, the boiling of the solvent is increased when it's in the solution form. In other words, the phenomenon is called elevation of boiling since the boiling point of the solvent is increased. Hope you got the point that our sir didn't explain...
Another reason of mixing water: when salt is mixed in water, the salinity of water increases and hence its density. Therefore, eggs begin to float much easily and eggs do not collide with one another.
Nahh salt also elevates the temperature of water so that gas consumption is less (Ref-elevation in boiling point due to solutes class 12 Chem NCERT solutions chapter)
Galat explanation hai bhay tum research kiye bina ese kisiko bhi sahi samjhte ho galat kr rhe ho ye iska reason kuch aur hai. Inhine aur bhi videos me galat explanation diya hai
Namak novolatile solute hai , aur paani volatile solvent , is wajah se jo soution banta hai uska Vapour pressure kam ho jaata hai ,and hence the boiling point increases
For non science students Salt is non volatile substance ,means it can not create vapours easily Water in pure state is boiling at temprature A Then in solution of water and salt the salt will lower the making of vapours of solution as it is non volatile , as we know vaporisation is required to boil , We need to give more heat for the boiling of solution conpared to its original pure state
It is due to elevation in boiling point caused due to addition of solute. Which reduces the vapour pressure and therefore to reach the boiling point the temperature increases to more than normal b.p i.e 100
Result law ke hisab se mixture of water and non volatile substance, hence decreases vapour pressure then required more heat for boil pata nahi aap kaise bataye, vaise hi freezing point kam ho jati hai
Salted water specific heat holding capacity will also increase that's why this mixture will hold more temperature than the lean water...i think this reason should also be included🙂
Please explain depression in freezing point, relating to decrease in vapour pressure! I will surely share that video with my students! Sahil, TGT science
Class 12 th concept because as the salt particles occupy most of the surface area of the water and the vapour pressure decreases and since vp is inversely proprtional to bp thus boiling point increases
Boiling point = Vapour pressure =Atmospheric pressure. When you put salt..the vapour pressur of water decreases .why ??because salt particles displaces water molecues on the suface and occupies surface area of water which was earlier occupied only by water molecules..which reduces number water molecules on ther surface thefore more heat is required to compensate the water molecule displaced by salt particles..therefore boilng temperature increases .
Sir confusion hai Agar kisi chiz ka boiling point barta hai to usko boil hona mei zada time lagta hai... Does this mean that things will boil slower in salty water
mene bhi yeh try kia tha 2 saal p ehle par thermometer hi tut gaya😅 (meri galti yeh thi ki mene hot water mein thermometer dala phir freezer mein daal diya phir hot water mein dala jisse thermometre tut gaya)
but the molal elevation constant pf water is just 0.52 Kkgmol-1 i.e if we dissolve 1 mole of any non volatile solute in 1 kg of water its boiling point will increase by 0.52 degrees only ????
So, does it mean that when Milk is boiling and there is layer of Cream preventing the Vapour to go outside, the actual temperature of Milk is very high even than 100? 👀
Sir g aap ne boiling water mei namak dala aur phir reading lee jo ke 102 reading aaye. Lekin aap tou bol rahe hai water ko salt mix ker ke boil karna hai. Kindly experiment repeat kare jaise aap bol rahe hai , pani ke andar salt mix kar ke boil ke jiye And den take reading.

Absolutely correct, I can confirm this as a Chemical Engineer
Bhai 12 mein solution chapter mein yahi chalra hai
Yes
absolutely ...
(delta)Tb = imKb
so it is directly proportional to the molality of the solute in the solvent
Yes bro chemistry solutions chapter
Another reason of mixing water: when salt is mixed in water, the salinity of water increases and hence its density. Therefore, eggs begin to float much easily and eggs do not collide with one another.
👍😃
Additionally they dont break because of no collision. 😊
No
Salt helps to remove it's outer shell and break it easily. Thus it's not for elevate the temperature of water

salt will decrease surface area so the vapour pressure increases which leads to elevation in boiling point.

Superb explanation of Ebullioscopy
Colligative property.... Elevation in boiling point..... Explained crystal clearly by ashu sir.... Love really big fan❤
This is why we pul salt in water while boiling eggs..
Colligative property relative lowering in vp mB=wB×MA/WA(∆p/PA°)

Salt is non volatile substance ,means it can not create vapours easily

Salt is a nvs solute, hence there is a boiling point elevation.

When non volatile solute is added to volatile solvent it's boiling point increases (elevation in boiling point,, Solution chapter 2 chemestry)
