I love that blizz took a chance at showing us the shadowlands cause I LOVE the idea of exploring other cosmic domains. Even if they end up making a wow2 to tell more stories, I'll be there
I would love if at the end, Azeroth woke up and the world cracked open like an egg, but, seeing the destruction, Azeroth would patch it back together, giving us a revamped, somewhat changed world to explore. Maybe it would resemble Draenor, now that the element of Spirit would be in abundance and there could be evergrowth everywhere, creating a scenario where all the different factions need to carve our their kingdoms from the wilderness. We could become adventurers again, helping to rebuild our former kingdoms, finding out which factions survived the awakening, seeing how they changed, etc.
@@iHawke I mean cata didnt really change much what op is describing would change the entire world of warcraft forever its like we are on Draenor again but this time no civilization and we have to build our kingdoms again.
I think it's safe to assume we will be heading to "Avaloren" or whatever is beyond Kalimdor. It's likely the Arathi Empire is there, and we learned of a dragon that went there despite warnings from the Titan keepers. During Faerin and Anduin's time together, she refers to dragons as creatures that "scour the land and grant wishes", likely referring to that same dragon. Odyn tried to send people there, but something kept stopping them. I think after Midnight, the Arathi will show up demanding to know what the heck just happened with the Light, forcing us into conflict and leading us to their homeland. Denathrius and the Dreadlords are still around, I can imagine them making a new Burning Legion/Scourge/Black Empire or something even worse, becoming the new big bads of Warcraft.
I hope they do more with the Nathrezim and Denathrius after the World Soul Saga. I truly believe that the Nathrezim are a far greater threat than the Void as they have agents in every cosmological force. They aren't just agents of Death or the Legion they are something greater I believe, so it would be cool to see them return in the future.
Theory: A World Soul is required to create a new Titan, but it is not a natural process. A WS is just that: the natural embodiment of a world. Once the threat of the void is gone after the Midnight expac and Azeroth is free from any potential corruption, the Titans will use the various installations they built over Azeroth to trigger her birth as a titan. My guess is that this process would destroy the world as we know it and might not be something Azeroth want herself. So the last expac will the players against the Titans to save their world. Sargeras might come back into play and get a redemption arc. The last Titan won't be Azeroth herself as she'll remain as the world. Sargeras will be the last titan.
I actually can't imagine where the Story will go, the Plot just keeps getting bigger and bigger and I doubt the Plot will go back to the basic issues on Azeroth, I wonder if we'll go to the different Realms. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well, the flu is gong around I hope you feel better soon Nobbel!
We had the chance for that soft reset during BfA when the announcement trailer dropped and got everybody hyped up. Faction war with Kul Tiras and Zandalar was enough to sell the entire expansion. Too bad they one upped the stakes immediately, going from Azshara to Nzoth in an expansion they barely played a part in.
His theory of abandoning the planet looking elsewhere when Azeroth is born sounds interesting imo and a good way to "reset" the world. Opens up the game for them to just completely explore entirely new things not already tied to Azeroth.
I respect and admire your determination nobbel. Maybe we will go back to a simpler time and give us a chance to build from square 1 with exciteing prospects for the future. Hope you are feeling better.
I still believe that the shadowland can be salvageable . If they wold say that the shadowland are a titan construct. The titan are all about ordering thing .they order countless world.they order life making the emerald dream .they order chaos making the nether . And they could have order the realm of death making the shadowlands and the first one are nothing but a facade
I usually can’t listen to your videos because your inflection goes from high to low so many times per sentence is like an intense roller coaster. This video though was so nice to get the info without the extreme differences in your voice.
One thing I have thought about is if the Azeroth we know, is actually a petri dish of Titan experimentation. A contained area closest to the world soul. After The Last Titan, those barriers around the Azeroth we know fall and reveal a whole new world. People who have played Dragon Quest 1 and then Dragon Quest 2 will understand this
I have a theory that Xal'atath is actually on our side, as shes Aleria corrupted by the void. She though has to make certain events play out to make sure we survive.
A dream I’ve had for several years is Arthas coming back to rule the undead in Lordaeron as their king, bringing back the war of the horde and alliance, starting between gilneas and lordaeron. now THAT would be awesome. Back to basic but still fresh
Would love to see an expansion that ends with us jumping into some void transporter in the center of Azeroth after facing off against an epic end game boss that leads us into the realm of the void.
We might still get Warcraft 4, but not as an RTS, but as an action RPG, for example. People will love the single-player Warcraft experience, and it could serve as a foundation for future expansions.
10:45 I always saw that Shadowlands being an ending to the "current saga" of wow as a hollow marketing ploy. At the time Blizzard had started to adopt that phrasing to promote Shadowlands, Final Fantasy XIV had been marketing (the at the time unannounced) Endwalker as the ending of the "Hydaelyn & Zodiark" saga for months; both externally in things like Live Letters and setting that up through it's story. This was also the time of the Wow exodus to FFXIV was occurring, Blizzard seemed to be just throwing everything at the wall to see what would stick. I think the fact that one of these stories actually stuck their ending and paid off the buildup proves the legitimacy of this point.
All issues aside, I can't wait to return to Howling Fjord again. I hope they do a good job remastering the music. To this day it remains my undisputed favorite zone in the entire game. Blizzard, don't botch this, please.
@ Why not? Northrend and the Dragon Isles are comparable size-wise. There is nothing preventing them. It would be weird to have a half-updated continent.
@ I don't think they'll be revamping half the continent either. I think they'll just update Ulduar as a sort of base zone, and then have new zones somewhere else. MAYBE they will do something unprecedented for The Last Titan, but considering how to the point The War Within follows the formula of new launch zones and patch content being new islands or disconnected realms, I don't think so. Just because he said Ulduar at the presentation doesn't mean it's going to be that important - Silithus was drummed up for Battle for Azeroth and Icecrown Citadel for Shadowlands, and they were inconsequential.
They never should have done Shadowlands, not the mechanics and how enjoyable it was (it was not), the premise, they never should have explored the afterlife in their game, it was horrible.
In Karazan there are all celestial Bodies we know of and we know that Azeroth is behind a Vale (in a prison) as we seen and learned in shadowlands (was predicted before tho). There is your roadmap for the next 30 years.
I think I’m gonna remind you that very few regular people went into the Shadowlands. The bulk of it was literally us adventurers. And we have no reason to speak of what happened in the Shadowlands. And that would be easily fixed with our exile from the hoard and the alliance. Consequently, removing us from the factions could potentially allow Warcraft four to happen. Because for it to happen, the players of wow need to be missing.
If the war ahead is the war xena was talking about I have a weird dilemma about light and shadow. Shadow can foresee every single possibility and align themselves in the best way they can. But holy believes in only one. There is only one singular truth - and they are correct, apparently?
I do really think they need to release either a warcraft 4 (which would be amazing) or something like a brand new game, a narrative focused RPG maybe. WOW is good because of all the groundwork laid before in the old games, they need to release a game outside of a mmorpg so they can truly focus on characters and story, get new and old people invested again. It could run parallel to WOW itself, just give people another way to interact with the world, story, and most importantly, new characters and worldbuilding.
I think they should open portals to other planets like the orcs did to azeroth. Maybe azeroth turns out evil or gets taken over or leaves the planet as a titan, who knows. Maybe it's just destroyed outright like Outland.
The story has been going nowhere good since Shadowlands so honestly, I hope they just retire WoW. It won't happen I know but I can dream of the day they stop beating this dead horse of a once great franchise
It really feels like they're gearing up to open up the sky and into the rest of the universe. Like, we're about to get our tops blown off our heads...and than the story is going to EXPAND...imo.
Trying to pull all the remaining "fish outta the ocean", eh Nobbel?! Save some ladies for the rest of us nerds, bro! I'm kidding get well soon, and good video!
I had really hopped Warcraft 4 was going to come out along side BFA and be the large scale battles where as the players we where doing side stuff and other non war issues.
I've been diving into Lovecraft lately. Idk if this has been a theory for a long time or not, casual lore enjoyer here. Anyway I think Azeroth is 100% based on Lovecraft's Azathoth. Look into it if you haven't, lots of stuff just fits with that story.
If World of Warcraft could end well (as far as the fans are concerned, would it break the ever burning spell over the players? Would it lost players that have been wrapped up in an ever-evolvong Neverending world? Would people stop playing or continue playing due to their love for the game? Old games such as Mario, Super Smash Brothers and Halo are continuously played, even in their original release state. Would WoW be written into history as the best MMORPG that ever graced our screens?
omg the "hello everyone" caught me so off guard lol, hope u feel better Nobbel

terrible idea, you literally want cataclysm 2
@@iHawke at this point, we might need that
@ the only way this would work is if some expansions are deemed non-canon/it happened in a dream
@ I wouldn't mind that happening to Shadowlands tbh
@@iHawke I mean cata didnt really change much what op is describing would change the entire world of warcraft forever its like we are on Draenor again but this time no civilization and we have to build our kingdoms again.
I absolutely love the chil voice, it’s so soothing. I know you’re sick and all, but I like this tempo. Sooo relaxing

Besides the nice hello everyone intro... Damn did they mess up not using the og voice for locus walker from the audio drama. That guy was peak
My wife put down her phone and asked who's that. I don't know if to laugh or be worried

@highlordlaughterofcanada8685 It was already meh to lousy before Shadowlands. Like since Cataclysm at the earliest.

I mean we could go to the Moons of Azeroth. Find Elune or something like that
Get better soon Nobbel!
I’ve got a feeling Azeroth herself will be the one who kills Deminsius.
Interstellar War?
Maybe fight some Orks or Necrons or Space Elfs but better not the dark ones.
they should do a massive time skip and start wow2 where we are unknown characters and we aren’t op af heroes
Still waiting for us to return to alt Draenor and save it from Yrel's fanatics
Imho they should hard reset WoW, give us the mythical WoW2, redo any lore and keep better track of it.
I wold love to see sn alternate reality azeroth
They need to finish WoW in the World Saga Trilogy and go for WoW 2
What would wow 2 even be?
was NOT expecting that hello everyone, get well soon nobbel
Your.sick voice is very good for putting me to sleep

Well free Azeroth and then she’ll say “a cosmos United cannot endure what is to come”
awesome
