i was one of those who thought this woman was crazy in the 80's for there was no social media showing how brilliant she is.. with that i must admit being the one who was crazy believing whatever limited we know about her then. she is the only true senator in the Philippines senate and knows the law.. she deserves to be the next president of our country.. my beloved countrymen please open up your eyes and let this lady be the next president of our beloved country

As a longtime legal permanent resident of the Philippines, I enjoyed and learned alot watching in person at the Philippine Senate Chambers and on TV, the late Madam Senators razor sharp wit and knowledge. Later found out she and I share the same birthdate on June 15th. RIP.

Last chance to rid the Philippines of corruption is Sen. Miriam Santiago. There's your savior. Actually, I voted for miriam in the 1992 Presidential elections against Ramos. She won in metromanila overwhelmingly but lost in the elections.
Back when I was young when there was no social media I thought Sen. Meriam was a crazy senator with temper problem because that was the media tagged her. They painted her as the screaming warfreak senator inside our small screen TV. even my parents that was they told me. I guess they were a victim of media also that time. And now after I watched all her old videos I could say that MDS was the only one of the few public officials who has really concerned about the country. So sad she was gone when the country really needed her. 🥺💔

Yes this applies to all governments and organizations and any place that cares about the truth, transparency, and understanding. Otherwise, people need to be honest about what they really want and acknowledge that people’s motives aren’t as pure as they would claim.

I would have echoed all the praises to Senator Santiago, except that years later, after this speech which correctly pointed out the evils of the Marcos dictatorship, the Senator would run with Bongbong Marcos as her vice president. Where did her supposedly high moral compass go when she decided to be in league with the biggest plunderer in our history - the Marcos family?
