- This song was on my radar for a while but the solo always made me hesitant. Turns out, I was right. This solo was a huge pain in the ass and took a pretty long time to learn. Pretty happy with how it came out though! Sorry for taking so long to post a video, been busy!
I really love Epitaph. Such a classic album.... Really wish they'd have done more. Anyways as always, blown away by your playing. I don't even know how I would achieve a level of playing close to this. Makes me feel like such an amateur
Thank you! This album is a masterpiece and I definitely hope to have it all covered eventually. I would’ve said the same thing about my playing had I seen it 3 years ago, just keep at it!
Easily one of the best covers I've seen of this. Nailed it man!!! 👌🏻 🤘🏻🔥
Thank you!!
You nailed those solos and made it look buttery smooth, huge props man! Can't imagine how much practice it took to get this song down pat like that
Thank you!! Im definitely proud of this video. Working on epitaph right now and it’s quite tough as well!
I absolutely love the design of your guitar and you got mad chops, you killed one of my favorite necrophagist solos fr
Thank you! I love this guitar and Necrophagist!
My face has been thoroughly melted. Well done! 🤘
Thank you!!
Insane playing, great job. Always loved this song because of how somber and mid-paced it starts out, and those weird harmonics at the beginning, and then just kicks into a flurry of riffage and soloing.
Thank you! The easy intro is really deceptive because the rest of the song, especially, the solo, is crazy difficult and technical. Definitely one of my favorite solos I’ve played!
@@RyuGuitarsthe intro was hard for me to learn coase its insanely hard to memorise xd
!!! lets go my friend rock n roll :D !! have a nice day :D !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you my friend!!
Man that is absolutely mind blowing! Insane playing man
Thanks man!
Unbeatable! Tho who shall not be beaten!
@@Shanan81 haha thank you!
Insane cover, great work man! The amount of practice it must have taken to get on this level! Very inspiring. Beautiful Kiesel as well!!
Thank you! This song was definitely very tough because of how long and difficult the solo was.
Unreal cover. If only I was half as dedicated. Props man.
Thank you! Just keep playing and you’ll be better than me one day!
🔥💪🏽🔥
how have i never realized that there is the lick from fur elise in this haha
Nice Symphony X thumbnail!
@@danmcleod1938 thanks🤘
which part are you talking about, I think I might have caught it because there was one lick that sounded like like a bit from a classical song I've heard before
@@cgrind3000 right here 2:20 there are other spots too
awesome
Phenomenal playing !!
Thank you!!
Amazing
Excelent cover bro, you need more recognize!!!!!
Thank you!!
🔥🔥🔥🔥
My favorite song by Necrophagist. The solos in this song are challenging.
By the way, what gauge of strings do you use?
Thank you! For this song I used 10-46 (not counting the 7th) I usually always use Ernie ball slinky’s for my 7 and 8 string
Absolutely brilliant 👏, man! Clean playing, great tone. Awesome job. You earned yourself a sub. Looking forward to your future covers. Reckon trying out material from The Faceless/and or The Zenith Passage/Revocation? You rock, dude!
Thank you! I’m working on a rings of Saturn song right now but I was considering doing Algorithmic Salvation from TZP until they release the new albums full tabs
Just reread this comment and you’ll be glad to hear that Algorithmic Salvation should be out soon!
@@RyuGuitars Awaiting 😃 You got this, bro!
I realize now how much I wanna hear you do Ignominious & Pale, the solo in that song is so cool. Also sounds great as always. Nailed the tone
This is the 2nd Necrophagist song I’ve covered and it’s been a while since stabwound. After I finished this I realized why I took a break from Necrophagist lol. This song was a ton of effort so I’ll prob tackle something like Ignominous at some later point!
grt stuff dude
Thank you!
you nailed that solo though!
Thank you! Took forever to get right!
Dude great job love it! Also, I have the same shirt haha
It is a pretty sick shirt isn’t it!
Goddamn buddy, well fucking done!
Thanks man!
nice
Great and insane playing as always.
Do you think necrophagist songs are harder than archspire ones? Im just curious about your opinion :)
Thank you! I would definitely say that Necrophagist is harder than most Archspire songs. The hardest Archspire songs took about 3/4 weeks to learn and this one took about that much time as well. Archspire songs definitely have a similar playing style from song to song and became a breeze after learning so many of their songs
are u doing artificial or pinch harmonics
Pinch harmonics!
What did you use to get the tone so damn perfect? I can hardly at all tell between the differences of your solo and the original.
Haha thank you! I used NeuralDSP Archetype Petrucci for all tones in this song. The neck pickup on these kiesel lithiums are pretty bright so that definitely contributed to the sound
Very nice! How about Lost Not Forgotten by Dream threater :D
how u got that tone man?
@@federikinho12 NeuralDSP archetype petrucci!
Fuckin amazing bro. Awesome skills. I wish I could play like that some day. It's a shame you don't have more subscribers.
Thank you! Just keep practicing!
@@RyuGuitarswhat do you practice(d) exactly?
@@Marebito_ I never really actually “practiced” exercises or routines or anything. I literally just learned the songs that I liked and I was able to learn harder and harder songs and my skills progressed along with it
@@RyuGuitars never thought you can get to this level of yours actually doing this. because i do the same. and yes, the muscle memory that builds with learning songs stays with me, but everything else i forgot. you've got some nice ears and memory being able to learn and play that many songs in this amount of time.
Damn that guitar looks amazing and expensive
I agree, looks amazing and was very expensive lol. The hefty price tag is definitely worth it though, this and my other Kiesel are the best instruments I’ve ever played!
