I hear this said a lot and as a huge fan who actually got to see them live, their demos had bad songs except for 'Back from the Dead' from 1985. There's plenty of filler tracks on SBG. I venture to say a couple filler tracks exist on 'Symbolic' in the middle of the album as well. Although that and SBG are my two least favorite death albums. The Mantas demo was pretty average too. That doesn't take away from their heights as a band, but they did have bad songs.
@@ascendancy4900 oh yea songs like suffocating sight and blinding tears will break the skies are well death influenced. Hell even Matt said that Ascendancy, the title track was inspired by Chuck's rhythms.
Flawless dude tone and all. Chuck is the greatest metal musician to ever live. Pretty sure Matt heafy feels the same. Love the death and trivium on the channel
Killer cover my man, as per usual! Yet you always managed to surprise me. May I ask you about the tone? Death has a really distinct tone (specially the Lead one). I know you listed the gear in the description, but could you elaborate a bit more about the EQ and all of that?
You can never go wrong with Death I swear they have no bad songs
It’s crazy thet they don’t. The discography (especially Human and onwards) is incredibly solid

Chuck was such a legend 🤘. We miss him and wish he was still here with us writing great music. RIP chuck
Ah the rarely seen Mockingbird. I'll add this to the spreadsheet.
The fact that you like both Death and Trivium makes you one of my top #3 fave guitar players on TH-cam. Cheers, buddy! Amazing job, as always.
There is definitely a Death influence in some of Trivium’s songs and style so it’s understandable that I’d dig them both
@@curtiswardley6312 Right?! I always thought of that, specially with some of Ascendancy songs.
