I have made this about 5 times now and this last time I got the phyllo down! I add pine nuts when roasting and marinated artichokes to the sauce as well. I love this so much. Thank you Dimitra❤️🙏🏽

So beautiful and appetizing. I love that you did not use meat because I rarely eat meat.

I make briam often, we love it. I will try it with phyllo as well. I will have to make a double too because I love both the cream and tomato sauces. Who wouldn't? LOL 😉

I absolutely love watching and learning recipes from you!! Easy to understand and easy to perform. I made your gyros last week with your tzaziki sauce, lemon potatoes and pita dough.
I’m here to say, if I can do it anyone can.
I’m super excited to make this dish and your strudel next! I’ll be watching for more great ideas!!
Can I add meat to this fish? If so, what and how?

Try making mousaka in phyllo. Just add the mousaka ingredients (fried potatoes, fried eggplant, minced meat sauce and bechamel) in phyllo and bake it. It is delicious! Love from Greece :)

This was wonderful! Couldn’t find the size of phyllo you use, but still worked out great. It made four smaller ones with the regular size, which was perfect size.

Dimitra, try adding a little anchovy paste to your tomato sauce. by little I mean very little, it has as strong flavor but really makes your sauce something special.

What roasting pans do you recommend. It looks like stainless steel pans. If you have a fav, please post. The ones I found can't stand the test of time in the oven/high heat. Thank you!

Dimitra, this looks delicious. I make briam (tourlou) stovetop. Basically the same vegetables. But usually I have it In a much simpler form. I like to eat it hot heaped on whole wheat whole grain bread with lots of feta. Of course, yours is much more elegant. I'll have to try it.

Could this ever be served at room temperature? Also would it be wise to drain some of the liquid from the roasting pans before adding the sauces? Looks great. Looking for an appetizer to bring to neighborhood functions.

Phyllo makes me crazy sometimes so substitute puff pastry rolled out! Happy to,share sauerkraut pita…drain sauerkraut, sauté in in butter, add eggs, feta, cream cheese. Contact me for specific amounts.

Quick version-- no cooking veggies required: frozen creamed spinach (thawed), drained marinated artichokes, kalamata olives, feta, and ricotta.
