Look I replace brakes all of the time on my cars. Because of you I went and did my 2014 Vintage. Fronts were super easy. Rear pads sucked a little. I had to loosen bolts on my left muffler. That was so I could remove that pin all the way. Now putting in the pads rear was easy but the pin was a pain. It was a slight manufacturing brake part problem. Couple of swipes with rat tail file fixed. Buttoned it all back up. Works like champ.

If you take the bags off, you'd be able to take the caliper off the rotor. With the calipers off front & back It makes changing the pads much easier

Man I really like your video. Front brakes were a piece of cake. Now the rear brakes, what did you do about that pin that banged on the muffler. Loosen the muffler a little? Let me know.

if you have bags, take the left one off. Then remove the caliper from the rotor. with the caliper free, makes the job easier

So it looks like you may have an issue with your caliper . The reason the one pad had more wear than the other is probably because your caliper is sticking causing one pad to drag little while longer . It may also be why it was so difficult to collapse the caliper .
