- Looking likely to become a Time+Tide tradition at Watches and Wonders, the most fun bit of the fair has to be the Kiss, Marry, Kill wrap-up after the final day. With emotions still running hot from the days of shooting, presenting, and attending appointments, most of us are not prepared to take any prisoners, and no novelty is safe. The most interesting part of the discussion is just how different our opinions are, even though some of us tend to like the same watches. So, if your grail gets "killed", fret not. These are merely personal opinions of your fellow WIS.

I seriuously think that, out of all the other channels/publications that cover the event, your team looks like you guys had the most fun at W&W this year. It shows thru the work you published, well done!

That was a very fun episode! Great concept, love it. Agree to Jamie's joice and the Grand Seiko SLGW002J - such a timeless beauty! And thanks to the new movement a true stunner. Was lucky enough to visit the the original Seiko house in Ginza, Tokyo last year and that made me appreciate what they're doing so much more. Keep it coming, T&TW!

Kiss: the JLC duometre, just a lovely classic piece, with a focus on precision without losing the artistry. Kill: the Rolex Deepsleep. Zzzzz... Who knew that a Rolex-branded diveweight was on the cards? Marry: I'm going to reverse the McUtchen trend - for me it's the VC overseas. It doesn't need to be super complicated, or have a superfluous tourbillion, just look incredible, wear beautifully and do exactly what you need it to. You'd have to cut off my hand to get it off my wrist. Oh, and #teamlars
Great pick with the Duometre. Just shows that JLC can come out with a trio of great pieces like those, and still fly under the radar.

IWC calendar feature is a joke - at least with the features of the other watches you can ACTUALLY USE THEM. - It's like buying a Land Rover and never going off road - paying for something over engineered and never seeing the benefit.
Not sure if I agree there - I think you could make the same claim about many watch complications. How many people really dive with their dive watches, for example? I think the IWC Eternal is mechanically impressive - probably the most horologically interesting watch of the fair other than the VC Berkeley - and yeah, while the wearer won't be alive for as long as it'll be accurate to, it's cool that it's theoretically capable of running without adjustment for as long as it can.

Couldn't disagree more mate. They basically made a calendar watch as accurate as possible - and it's not like we're discounting perpetual calendars now, are we? The whole point of high-end complications is seeing how far the brands can go, and considering IWC's heritage with calendar complications, it only makes sense to me. In the grand scheme of things, of course nobody it, but if this hobby of ours was about that, I'd just buy a G-Shock 5600 and be done with it.

I was debating picking one of the Duometres. Amazing pieces, just a little too large for me this year I'm afraid. Nevertheless, glad JLC brought it back in style
It was a flagship concept year for JLC, more about watchmaking flex than attainable product
