I recently bought a pot like that, I have been wondering what sort of tree would look good in it and I guess now I know! haha thanks for the video! We need an update video on some of your first trees you did :)

You’re fast becoming the resident hemlock specialist. Another great specimen. Off to a great start. Do you keep these in full sun? I have an Eastern Hemlock which seems to prefer a partially shaded area. Thanks, keep growing

I’m surprised you don’t have allot more subscribers but I’m really into collecting Yamadori maybe it’s not for some people especially if they don’t have access.

Ya, people have mixed feelings about yamadori. Also, I’m in Canada and so my guess is that the algorithms don’t put my videos in front of American as much but that just a guess. Also, the lower quality videos and editing I’m sure turns some people off. Thanks for the positive feedback. I do love bonsai and making videos. Thanks again for posting and commenting

Hey I’m from PA there is a yamadori hemlock I have near a forest by my house but it’s about 45 inch base so when do u think is best to remove couple weeks from now as it warms more !?

Yup, sounds about right. just as buds swell and before they push out growth. Did you say 45 inch? Because that will be hard to collect unless it’s in a nice rock pocket and there are fine roots near the surface. Be careful as they don’t respond like a deciduous tree. You’ll need to get to the fine roots. I think the biggest hemlock I’ve collected was 3 or 4 inch thick at the base of the trunk. Also be careful with aftercare. Mist lots and keep out of direct sun. Hope this helps 😀👍. Good luck.

Good job! Would you tell- where do you live? In my country this tree can see only in botanic garden. Greetings from Russia!
