      @@BonsaiSociety I'll clarify. Miraculous to first year bonsai hobbiest such as myself! I will keep my eye out for this cultivar here in Ontario. I love micro foliage

    Beautiful tree. Thanks for the tip about wiring the jins downward. You're right, many jins jut upward and don't follow the flow of many trees.

    near the beginning he was talking about some bug that was killing hemlock trees. I wonder do you think that the droughts we've had lately might have something to do with it? These trees are water mongers afterall.

    • @BonsaiSociety
      @BonsaiSociety  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This infestation started many many years before the drought. I think it has more to do with climate change and human activity

      Bonsai is the art of pruning but once the pruning is completed you must wire the tree into shape to give it a look of age and elegance

    Is it acceptable to have a branch right in front and after the first branch and at the same level as the 2nd branch?

    • @BonsaiSociety
      @BonsaiSociety  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      If there is an empty space that needs to be filled it's acceptable to fill it with a branch no matter where it is
