If it's Giraffes you want in your backyard, don't pay $1000 a night at giraffe manor, go to Oserengoni by Oserian Conservancy in Naivasha, for a fraction of the amount. They have an in-house giraffe called George and much more. P.S They love locals, and The Ranch restaurant next to the lake is awesome. That amount per night at giraffe manor can book you a week at Oserian, arrghh damn I hate tourist traps.
This is so sad and the way I was looking forward to coming to Giraffe manor this summer , oh well I cant be discriminated against in Europe and in my own country as well , Its a big no. I experienced this colonial mindset in Watuma 2 years ago when we hired a boot and had the displeasure of watching the entire staff speaking only Italian pandering to the wazungus . Imagine going for a tour in Kenya and having to listen to the tour guide speak the coloniser's language only to them whilst us poor black people were left there as though we did not pay .I was so furious and of course asked to be taken back , they apologised once they realised we were serious and also that we were tourists ( we had brought our black British friends with us ). It sickens me how we black people behaviour towards wazungus who honestly more often than not look down on us
We have to speak up all the time for this to stop! I have encountered this in the museum in Nairobi but i have also had a good time in Lake Nakuru National Park, voyager in Mombasa is so good! Voyager recognizes the beauty of domestic tourism and heavily treats Kenyans with utmost respect. Maiyan in Nanyuki is also a good place for Kenyans but the town of Nanyuki is questionable because of the British base over there! The locals kinda discriminate. Now please you and other Kenyans could you kindly list the places you encountered no discrimination so we can know where to put our hard earned money. Thank you.

We need to go against any organisation or corporation in kenya that discriminates against Kenyan citizens. I live in uk and giraffe Manor was on my list of travel. Now this is out the window as i cant take my money in a place where they're discriminating against the people of the land, who are the indigenous people where this establishment stands in the soil of Kenya and for the Kenyans. Ala!Nonsense! So we be discriminated against outside here and in our own country? So, all the people I'd told about this Place, i will tell them of the discriminatory practices so they can consider better places to visit in kenya.. na Kenyans who look down against their own... needs to be taught a lesson from the history of the mau mau. They dealt well well with stupid Kenyans who turned against their own. Boycott these establishments until they run zero. The eras of eh Bwana are long gone.
