The CAA figures were released this week. Passenger loadings on Flybe were about 51%, compared to Eastern at 48% and Loganair at 57%. So passenger numbers were not an issue, more aircraft were becoming available so that would have only increased to the point somewhere in summer they would have overtaken Loganair. The internal rumour that's been posted around is that the owner of Flybe decided to not provide anymore funding after they found out they couldn't sell the slots at Heathrow as they hoped when the airline started.

This is sad to see. Flybe were such a good airline it’s just sad they have gone bankrupt for the second time.
Flybe should of had a base out of Southampton as it would give them unique and needed connecting routes
