Hi ren will always have a special place in my heart, found it right after being diagnosed Lyme after 10 excruciating years. But this one has a special place in my soul. Exactly like you said I've never had anybody explain what I have went through like this not even myself
This may very well be your best reaction. True... honest... real. Watching you progress from the beginning and where you ended up... Fucking PRICELESS.
I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at age 37. I am 61 now I have huge struggles but I push myself harder than people half my age. I got married last year and am living my best life.
Wow that’s amazing! Kudos to you Iowa. My father has had Parkinson’s for at least 6 years. He has the type Robin Williams had called Lewey body! He and we take it one day at a time.
Buried in the comments of the original, it's Welsh, 'cos Ren is originally from North Wales and grew up speaking Welsh: salwch yw fy athrawen - sickness is my teacher fe dorrodd fy ngwên - my smile broke mae fy esgyrn teimlo'n hen - my bones feel old yma yw gorwedd corff ren - here lies the body of Ren. All of which I chime with too.
This reaction was like a whole movie! Building up, plot thickening, plot twist, katharsis, riding to the sunset with a sigh. I like your emotional-empathic-intelligence.
So many doubles in this song. "Crime scene forensic/ crime scene, for Ren's sick." And "One sin for every one day of the week/ One sin for everyone, day of the weak." Plus dozens more.

The beginning of that song the way he frames pain, is how I feel when I am, not only a neurodivergent person, I found my husband of 18 years dead alone. Never mind the bullying I survived, the rapes, the hit & run, the drugs, prison, to college to be a shrink, and lost 200 pounds, so I wish I won’t wake up, to I need to get up and help myself and others, but then my husband died, I found him. The anniversary of his death is on 10/24/24, two long lonely painful years. My hands shake and tears fall as I write this. Pain and capitalism are all I see. Ten understand what a failed society and a sea change can do to a human. If not for him, I wonder if I would be around making this comment…
This song and beat are relentless....just like Ren. I'm playing this as I'm trying to put up shutters as hurricane Milton coming like a freight train. My partner died in Jan. This is1st hurricane alone at 75 with heart issues.. Yes I can. I love this song. Great reaction. Two things really made my day today: Ren finally spoke to his Community about what he's been going through lately since being admitted to A+E (Accident and Emergency) about 10 days ago--and you posted one of the best Ren reaction videos I've ever seen, hands down! I had chills through the whole experience. I even had chills when you apologized to Kyle and let him flip you! The rest I can only express with emojis: 🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋
I should say that I was happy to see that Ren is well enough to communicate again, but I'm very disturbed about what he had just gone through, including temporary blindness, extreme eye pain and intense fatigue.

Was at the Premiere last night and realised I didn’t comment …….so watched again….loved this reaction. Seven Sins is definitely up there as one of my favourites …..the strings, the flow switches, the lyrics….what an opening track to Sick Boi 💜🔥
Ren's pain and story have helped me to gain perspective and move through my own pain. I lost 4 of my favorite humans in the last 5 years, including my mother. Felt super let down by both the medical system and family in regards to two of these events. System threw them overboard and they were so impaired they couldn't care for themselves. Being a caregiver for my mother and witnessing her descent into dementia was straight out the hardest most painful year of my life. The psychological recover from has been draining me ever since. If Ren can go through the hell he has and still be such a compassionate and driven person, then maybe I can get back up too. He has converted his journey through pain into a message of hope for everyone else going through something too.
Ren says this description at the start of the song of him on the kitchen floor is an actual description of what happened to him that day, it was his first psychotic breakdown. When he describes Jesus jumping, I believe he’s describing watching his last sense of hope escape from him and he was utterly alone. He said he watched the whole thing unfold from his bed. I had to point that out to some reactors that had religious backgrounds because they weren’t seeing the reality of his situation, they were only worried of Jesus being cast in a bad light. I agree with you, this is masterful writing and to me his very best work. He put everything into this song!

Ren describes in, i believe, Chapter 6 of his Missing chapters, this time period as the worst of the worst and Seven Sins is written about that time. Its not like the song doesn't speak for itself, but after hearing him tell the story behind it makes it hit even harder.
Loved every pause and your reaction was building and changing. We all knew the parts that were coming and I found myself laughing out loud. Song is an absolute banger and after 100 listens I think I still find new bars, doubles, and depth. Soooo good.
I’m so sorry about the shit you had to deal with. Thank you for sharing. I hope you’re on a path to healing. Seeing your enthusiasm for this amazing piece of art warms my heart. And yes we DO get off on seeing reactors get emotional over anything Ren 😝
Knew you'd be blown away by this. They're not verses, they're stanzas. No chorus bar the melody midway. It's just about laying it all out and embracing the pain on paper and constructing a masterpiece around having your faith in things improving ripped away. I completely get why Ren is so proud of this track. It's a fire way opening track for the Sickboi album to kick off.
Bro, I love this song. I blast this regularly. He touches every point from what he struggles with all the way to how this world is broken too. Ren is a magician with written and spoken word. He speaks on a lot of topics i wish i truly had the words for. He inspires me constantly.
😂😂 Go Kyle!! So happy to see you like this song, it is so damn good! It's like five songs in one and it's relentless! He's got so much rhythm in his voice, he doesn't need a beat 😁
As you mentioned, this was much anticipated. And you didn't disappoint my friend. Looking forward to the aforementioned art you end up producing from your own struggles. 💛🤘🤙✌️
Haha people like when I'm yapping and talk what I'm feeling, so I'ma keep that going. I appreciate you taking the time to listen, and yes. I think you all will like what I have to say in music form soon.
Totally get it. I had cancer during my very first pregnancy at 25 and it escalated in several ways...between the treatments and its sideffects. its amazing hearing someone articulate it that doesnt HAVE to be you. And while its not directly related i do have a question? Have you done crutch yet? Its how i felt at the worst
Watching you watch this was hard, I could see how much it affected you. I’m so pleased you liked it so much after we all hyped it up. Surprised you didn’t mention the Lord Of The Rings mention.
Right on! Love the metamorphosis of your face 🤣. First time I heard this, it hit hard. It's almost more poetry vs straight rap. And yeah, Ren is a master wordsmith. His wordplay ... wow. So many memorable lines. 7 Sins is the intro song to the sick boi album. Sets the stage. In many ways it follows the same path as the sick boi song. Starts as a personal story of his struggle and then flips to commentary on the world as a whole. I'm sick, we're sick.
WE TOLD YOU IT WAS FIRE. lol. So glad you liked one of my favorites of all time, any artist. And its placement as the first track of the Sick Boi album is perfect. The whole album revolves around myriad ways one can be sick - physically, mentally, spiritually, streetwise aka musically, as a society, etc. - and this song has so much of that. Sonically, this song is all over the place, but it works. Love it. Great reaction! ✌️💛
It is so far ahead of what we are used to hearing… it literally took me three listens in a row before I was able to come to terms with the greatness of this song. It is epic and the actual music, beat, production is out of this fucking galaxy. Thanks for supporting Ren!!
Hi Speed. The fist day this came out, I referred to as Ren's Magnum Opus. From the first time you paused, I knew this would happen as you fell deeper into its raw creative energy. In the end, there are no words, but there are tears. Blessings for both of you.
I am so glad you decided to react to this and admit when it won you over. I deal with a chronic condition as well and this song voiced my pains so clearly. This song is my favorite on the album. I totally get the absolute contempt for those who choose to stay down. Trauma isn't a get out of jail free card, it's an assignment.
Well said. As far as we know, we get one life and it's short. When things happen, you get three minutes to wallow and then you better figure out some way to keep as much of yourself as you can
Never underestimate Ren.He’s able to use words in a way that makes you truly feel, makes you think, with an intensity that makes your brain explode. To quote another reactor “ lyrical genius” Your right , you can dig a hole and lay in it or you can pick yourself up and keep putting one foot in front of the other till it takes you where you need to be.
I connect to this song so hard. Been living the pain for 20 years...have had five pain free days in that time. ♥ Glad you enjoyed the complexity of the lyrics. Never let pain hold you down!
I just want to say that I really appreciated the way you articulated your respect for the song, even though it may not be your favorite. We don't always have to like the output in order to appreciate the work that was put into it. In my book, that shows a great deal of character. Cheers! 😊
I was bummed I missed the premiere, but so glad you dove deep into this song and that it is inspiring you to write!! Ren’s pen game was on fire when he wrote this one. He wrote Seven Sins and MG3 when he was in Canada. He had already written most of the album before leaving for treatment, but he had no idea Hi Ren would literally explode and change his life forever. He was afraid the songs he was getting ready to roll out didn’t match the bar he set with Hi Ren. So he pole vaulted over that bar with Seven Sins and Money Game 3!! Plus what made this song easily one of my favorites was the insane beat and the switch ups! (I personally like Seven Sins much more than Wicked Ways and Castles 🏰… but I understand why those songs hit for you) I also like how you talked about Ren’s strength through everything he went through. He also exhibited strength through his vulnerability. His vlogs throughout his illness were heartbreaking, but he was (and still is) a voice for the voiceless. I think people misunderstood what you were saying at the end. Strength isn’t just masking the struggle, but it’s not giving up. And I’m also amazed at how he has remained kind, compassionate, empathetic, and generous to those around him. There’s no air of entitlement. He easily could have turned bitter and resentful. But even in this recent relapse, he just wants to be able to do what he loves … create music and share his art. I pray his treatment goes well! 🙏🏻 And I’m so thankful he has an incredible support network surrounding him.
This is a beast of a track. Expressive emotional and inspiring. Glad you liked it! Was pretty sure you would! 😂 Really good to hear its inspired you to create and that you felt heard and understood by extension! That's really awesome 👌 😁
The fan groups are trying to get Rens sick boi to 8M views by its 1 year anniversary on Sunday. Can everyone hop over and give it a view to show our Boi some support?
For several dozen reasons this is one of my favourite Ren songs it's up there with the full version of Freckled Angels (which I have no idea why it just burrowed itself into my heart) Great reaction - take care
Love your smile at 9:35 ! I think it's because you realised this song is fire 🔥 and still more to go ! Ren has so many styles . And your wooooo at 10:35 for those bars . Going to watch your Ren reactions from now, keep doing them please 😁 ps sorry to hear you went through cancer I hope you are all clear now ❤❤
This is my favorite song on Sick Boi… the beat at the end literally beats the “message” into your head. Great reaction as usual… getting kinda boring! Ha! Not at all. Love watching your Ren reactions. Very articulate and intelligent. Still need to check out “Diazepam” Probably my favorite Ren song. Such a blues jazz groove, especially the guitar solo. Absolutely wish I could hear him play like that for an entire night.
Great reaction, thought you’d like this one. It’s so lyrical and you can really feel every word he’s living. I checked the play list when you said ready for you is up there but not seen a reaction to Heretic. Some of the bars are great in that one and one most people miss out on.
Thanks for another great reaction!!! While they won’t be your favorites “Crutch” “Insomnia” and “Depression” are other songs that can make one feel heard when dealing with struggles. Definitely worth listening to even if you don’t do reactions to them. After reading your comment that you posted after explaining your stance and how your ex was there for support I think you should listen to “Crutch”. It was filmed at the peak of his illness around the time of his psychosis before receiving his Lyme diagnosis and it features his ex girlfriend who was a big support at that time.
I can see why people would. In terms of replay value, WW and especially CMOS still take it for me, but in terms of his pen? His message? Sheesh. This is on another planet.
Definitely one of Ren's masterpieces! It clearly demonstrates Ren's ability to put into words his struggles and to do it in such a brilliant way! Such an impactful song! Loved your reaction ❤
Well that was a journey 😂 Seven Sins is one of my favourite Ren songs. A brilliant and *forensic* dissection of pain *for Ren’s sick*. But he is also breaking down the sins and how they can turn our species into a “sickness” of the world - especially greed. The song is also just the perfect opening track for the Sick Boi album. When you get deep enough into the rabbit hole to have listened to the full album, you will notice how it’s like a Reniverse tapestry of interconnected lyrics and references with this song hinting at what’s to come. I gotta say though… as Ren keeps growing and more people get to know him, the line “prophets get dropped imagining heaven” is sounding more and more foreboding. He is out there saving lives by giving us hope, inspiring positive change in the world, and asking us to look past our differences to come together as that is the only way he imagines us surviving as a species. There better not be any crazy people out there who would ever want to shoot him for attention! 🫣 We need Ren in the world ❤🐰🕳️
This song is in my top 3. The lyrics, the meaning, the intelligence ! The comparisons… who thinks of going through every sin then ending “1 sin for every 1 day of the week”, is such a deep line. I am 100% with you on this!
I don't blame you for your feelings, but someone who goes through pain every, every day. THIS is the song that talks, sings, and yells at me. This song means so much for people like me.
Loved this reaction! Have to admit it’s fun to see you change your mind about something 😅 Really appreciate what you had to say at the end about Ren’s strength and resilience, especially right now. Btw is this video unlisted? A couple ppl told me they couldn’t find it and the views seem low. (Don’t worry I shared the link 😉)
Yeah lol TH-cam apparently showed it to people somehow without me selecting it and don't know how. Don't worry, the views and engagement will be there soon. :)
Hahaha, I loved the changing opinion over the course of the song. “Perhaps I may have been a bit too hasty.” ❤ I think you’ll like Heretic too. Love the reactions, thank you!
I am so freakin’ ’ happy right now! I KNEW you would like this! This song is one of my top favorites.! I loved watching your journey from hmm I don’t know about this but not as good as castles or wicked ways… to I may have spoken too soon to this is straight FIRE! 🤣 I don’t even know what to tell you to check out next.. I have not read comments yet but I hope someone tells you what the Welsh lyrics say in English. Hugs to you. If you get emotional, it is ok ❤
Crazy thing is this was supposed to be an intro track. Ren said the lyrics just kept coming, so it turned out to be one of the best tracks on the album 🎉
This is why it was placed first on the Sick Boi album, it's his whole story and world view in 7 verses of relentless lyricism. All the new listeners who clicked because it was a no.1 album, got this as their intro lol.
I admit that I was a tiny bit worried when everyone told you to watch this next. As much as I am figuring out what you like I wasn’t 100% sure which way this would go. I was worried you might find it too serious. But it turns out I was once again correct and you landed where I thought you would! I have said more times than I can count that Ren makes those of us going through chronic illness feel seen. This song is one of my favorites for that reason and for the fact that it’s lyrically amazing. Add in his take on society and I’m all in.
IKR! This is absolutely my favorite from Ren so far. Gives me Ren bumps every time. Can't wait to see the verdict. But really, is there any doubt?! IYKYK
I pretty much have rems song playing on repeat now days and this was one of my favorite reaction videos I've seen. Great fucking job man and I'm sorry you felt the pain Ren was describing. Seems like you have some of Rens strength though, most people would never talk about their own pain like that.
That's really kind of you to say, I'm glad you had a good time with the video! And oh yeah, people like us have to find it, bottle it, sometimes share it, but always have it. What makes us who we are.
Been following you a while, one of the best reaction channels out there. Appreciate the honesty and your approach seems genuine and not chasing the views. Not many do it but Ren’s “Love Music” trilogy is still what most impressed me. And his most repeatable listens to me are his songs before “hi ren”. But the love music trilogy is super unique, takes an open mind and is shockingly good.

Glad you resonated to it. And no, I actually haven't yet but it's on the list. We'll be doing it soon enough. 🙏🏿
Watching you watch this was hard, I could see how much it affected you. I’m so pleased you liked it so much after we all hyped it up. Surprised you didn’t mention the Lord Of The Rings mention.
Ha there was so much to catch, was hard to do it all in one go.
Thank you bro 🙏
Love your comment section
So many beautiful people there
WE TOLD YOU IT WAS FIRE.
Finally, my favorite part of the song is given the time and appreciation it deserves.
I think this song is my personnal favorite. It's an amazing piece of art. ❤❤
One of my favorite on the album for sure ❤❤. Happy birthday to the Sick Boi album release 😊
It is so far ahead of what we are used to hearing… it literally took me three listens in a row before I was able to come to terms with the greatness of this song. It is epic and the actual music, beat, production is out of this fucking galaxy. Thanks for supporting Ren!!
Thank you for this excellent reaction, probably the best I've seen. Lyrically, it is the best and hits hard.
Hi Speed. The fist day this came out, I referred to as Ren's Magnum Opus. From the first time you paused, I knew this would happen as you fell deeper into its raw creative energy. In the end, there are no words, but there are tears. Blessings for both of you.
❤❤🔥 my favorite REN song! On top of the song as a standalone, it wraps up the themes of the entire Sick Boi album so perfectly!
Every one is killer 🔥🙌🏼
PLEASE react to Rens's Money Ties, I think you'll love it! 👌🏼
Told you so 🤣
Couldn't resist 🫶
I am so glad you decided to react to this and admit when it won you over. I deal with a chronic condition as well and this song voiced my pains so clearly. This song is my favorite on the album.
I totally get the absolute contempt for those who choose to stay down. Trauma isn't a get out of jail free card, it's an assignment.
Well said. As far as we know, we get one life and it's short. When things happen, you get three minutes to wallow and then you better figure out some way to keep as much of yourself as you can
I love your last message. Spot on.
(I personally like Seven Sins much more than Wicked Ways and Castles 🏰… but I understand why those songs hit for you)
I also like how you talked about Ren’s strength through everything he went through.
Mission accomplished. 🫡
We hit 8 mil a few hours ago.
A sincere thank you to anyone who joined in :)
Going to watch your Ren reactions from now, keep doing them please 😁 ps sorry to hear you went through cancer I hope you are all clear now ❤❤
Yes, I'm in remission and everything is good. I really appreciate that. And haha yes, the realization as the song kept playing. Whew.
Your reaction brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for a heartfelt, honest reaction ❤
Omg the apology to Kyle nearer the end 😂 you funny as 😂
Ps thankyou for your support of Ren and reflections at the end ❤❤
Great reaction, thought you’d like this one. It’s so lyrical and you can really feel every word he’s living.
I checked the play list when you said ready for you is up there but not seen a reaction to Heretic. Some of the bars are great in that one and one most people miss out on.
The eighth sin is that song suggestions took you everywhere but here for so long 😂
Lmao right??? Talk about it! Haha.
Not Kyle 😂😂😂 man this reaction was one of the best I’ve seen - to any song FULL STOP
Hahahaha so much fun, “I may have been a bit hasty” lmaoooo
FWIW I like this better than WW or CMOS….
Same
Same x2
I can see why people would. In terms of replay value, WW and especially CMOS still take it for me, but in terms of his pen? His message? Sheesh. This is on another planet.
Ren is good reminder the specific and personal you are with your writing the more people it will connect with
Definitely one of Ren's masterpieces! It clearly demonstrates Ren's ability to put into words his struggles and to do it in such a brilliant way! Such an impactful song! Loved your reaction ❤
The bars on building up well-intentioned people and then destroying and forgetting them - brutally true.
Ren's vocabulary is outstanding. Nearly every Word has a meaning and it all makes sence together. Have a nice Day!
I am here because you shared it. ❤ But I was wondering why the views are so low, too. The reaction is fire.
Yeah lol TH-cam apparently showed it to people somehow without me selecting it and don't know how. Don't worry, the views and engagement will be there soon. :)
@TheBlackSpeed Obviously, YT has its own will. 😂
Hahaha, I loved the changing opinion over the course of the song. “Perhaps I may have been a bit too hasty.” ❤
I think you’ll like Heretic too. Love the reactions, thank you!
We told you it was 🔥 Great reaction ❤
I couldn't stop playing this track on repeat when I first got the Sick Boi album. Sure you already know the intro language is Welsh.
lol watching your reaction was joy. ❤
I concur on this song. So many layers and depth.
So love the goosebumps test
I am so freakin’ ’ happy right now! I KNEW you would like this! This song is one of my top favorites.! I loved watching your journey from hmm I don’t know about this but not as good as castles or wicked ways… to I may have spoken too soon to this is straight FIRE! 🤣
I don’t even know what to tell you to check out next.. I have not read comments yet but I hope someone tells you what the Welsh lyrics say in English. Hugs to you. If you get emotional, it is ok ❤
This is hilarious. Love this reaction enough to watch it multiple times. Lmao
Crazy thing is this was supposed to be an intro track. Ren said the lyrics just kept coming, so it turned out to be one of the best tracks on the album 🎉
Ren:
What you Want
Life is Funny
TROUBLES ACOUSTIC (yeah I know, I know lol)
And Suic!de (plus FOR JOE) bring your tissues with...
Fire reaction bro. I appreciate the words at the end.
You're on top of it as always. 😉
lol No one is ready for the second half of this song. First half is lyrically amazing, but the production in the second half is straight fire.
Ahhh I missed the sneak preview and now I have to wait 3 whole days? Nooooooo
IKR! This is absolutely my favorite from Ren so far. Gives me Ren bumps every time. Can't wait to see the verdict. But really, is there any doubt?! IYKYK
Haha it'll be worth it Emilieeee!
@@TheBlackSpeedI am going to miss the premier I am out to dinner no nooooooo. I will watch right after I get home
@@Emilie-one Sounds like a plan, I'll expect a full report when you watch it.
The progression of your feelings throughout the video was so fun to watch! ✌🏻💜
Im SO GLAD you finally did this! This is my favorite tracks on the album.
Apologising to Kyle had me in tears. Feckin hilarious. Great vid as usual man.
25 years of absurd chronic pain & this song resonates with me.
One of the best Rens song ever, period!!🤘🏼🎶
Love the reaction!!!
Hahahaha, loved the ending. Seven Sins is my favorite on the Sick Boi album. The pain in the beginning is what I live with every day 😢.
Try Heretic soon, and Dear God. Think you might like!
Ah what a reaction to wake up to and accompany on my bus ride to work. Fire. Loved watching you realise the song is genius. Have a great day
Been following you a while, one of the best reaction channels out there.
