That is one of the largest steam shows in North America, 210 acres. You can’t cover it all, in days ! They have a steam powered merry go round. Thanks Ed.
It never dawned me how complicated a Stanley Steamer would be, controls-wise. That’s very cool you got a ride in one. But seeing the steam shovel work was my favorite. Those monsters are just amazing.
You got to ride in the Stanley, you should have jumped on the log carriage too... LOL.. People don't realize, when steam was the power source, the machines were very much the same as today..
Those fellas in the big mill may have done that a time or 2 🤣 they were flying ! Steam car was awesome, dead silent at low speeds, under a load it chugs and the boiler whistles! Nicest folks around at these shows.
