Wanted to give you guys a big thanks! Just completed a two week trip one week each in Gulf Shores and Ft. Morgan. Implemented many of the techniques I’ve watched on your channel with great success. Caught Spanish, Flounder, Trout, Whiting and 50”Blacktip shark on a spoon. Also got to see the new store. Keep up the great work.
Same here, haven't fished for so many years and you made me remember the thrill of the fight. Great work, not an excess of none productive filming and all good filming of the fun stuff. Thanks!
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I went fishing on the beach in California, myself. Didn't catch anything, but I learned about the water. The Otters teach water sports quite well.
Matthew, Good video. Love the experience that indicates what species based on the hit and head shake. That is one of the value added benefits of watching your channel. Enjoy your family time. God bless you all.
Just stopped by the store for the first time! My wife went back and picked up a beach fishing cart…. I don’t know how we got by without it for this many years! Great store and enjoyed meeting you!
Another good day. Dude, I hope you and the family have a great time. And certainly wishing the best to the Ladies. I'm sure that you took care of them on Mothers day.
Matt your videos are great and your enthusiasm is a special treat. Surf fishing hookups are like Christmas morning you never know what present has been given to you. A suggestion to freshwater fishermen, your freshwater lures will catch saltwater fish. I've caught kings on a Baby O. Matthew Isbell is a treasure book of knowledge when it comes to saltwater fishing. Thanks again for another great video. You stay bum, brother
Hey Beach Bum (and fellow BBB subs) I need suggestion on gear. I have four Penn Spinfisher 4000 reels and four Penn Spinfisher 6000 reels that I purchased as combos several years ago. I love the reels but the Spinfisher rods that came with them are total junk. I've broken two of them where they join together, one broke while reeling in a 20 lb ray and the other broke a few day ago while casting a double drop with a 3 oz weight. I mostly surf fish but I have recently acquired a 1700 Sportsman Key West center console that I will start fishing from. I'd like to find a rod that has a somewhat stiff spine but has a light enough tip to see the softer bite, something good for both surf fishing and in the boat. Not looking for cheap but inexpensive would be great since I want to replace all of the rods. Any suggestions and links if you can provide them would be appreciated.
I have a question that I hope you can help me with I know you fish with spinning reels but I have a couple old school Penn squidders and I was looking for a good surf rod for them if you could suggest any I would greatly appreciate it thank you
Hey I love your vids, your getting me into surf fishing, I was wanting to know what rod I should get I have a Diawa bg 3000, and a budget of 200,it would be very very very! Helpful if you could point me into the right way because I don’t want a trash rod. Thank you so much❤
My family came down and visited the store last Saturday and then ended up fishing past the jetty's and only caught 1 ladyfish and 7-8 catfish all day. We are coming back in a couple weeks to stay for a week in a beach house and I'm really hoping to get on a hot Spanish or trout bite!
Yeah, and the Spanish and Bluefish are great at tail whipping the line and breaking it. If the leader is shorter than the fish, it can still cut the main line
Warning: please keep your hooks away from your pets. My puppy got past tge doggie gate & got a 3/0 hook stuck in her lip. Had to get it removed at the vet.
You used to be more respectful of the fish you caught but you’ve changed. Throwing fish back is not mu cup of tea when you are close enough to the water to PLACE the fish back in its environment.

As much as you like to catch Blues, you've gotta come up to New England. We routinely get 20 plus pounders up here
Taste like crap but they are super arm wrenching fun.
@@hadleyscott1160 smaller blues are good to eat if you bleed them well.
Never been a huge fan of the taste personally but man are they fun to catch
@@williambenner701 small ones are great to eat. We make tacos out of them and just give the rib meat to the cats.. it just doesn't freeze well

Nice job at new area. Enjoy your family vacation.
Thanks for sharing!
Nice variety of fish Matthew makes for a fun day on the beach
Great video, Matt! Artificial is my favorite way to fish but haven't been able to fish in years. Thanks for taking me along!
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I went fishing on the beach in California, myself. Didn't catch anything, but I learned about the water. The Otters teach water sports quite well.
So nice catching a variety of fish, makes things interesting.
Matthew, Good video. Love the experience that indicates what species based on the hit and head shake. That is one of the value added benefits of watching your channel. Enjoy your family time. God bless you all.
Are bucktails not common to use for beach fishing? In NY you have to have one with you plus a gold Diamond jig.
Great to see you on the beach

Nice Trout!
Excellent video. Wow!!! Big trout!!!
Yep, video quality great on the head cam over chest cam. Good call on the change.
Nice trout @@
Thanks for showing us the truth of surf fishing. Always frustrating to see people catch fish after fish and think they are the best and I suck.
So cool catching trout in the Surf. That was a really nice Trout too!
I love the vids man keep catching fish and god bless you my man
Great morning of fishing.
Another good day. Dude, I hope you and the family have a great time. And certainly wishing the best to the Ladies. I'm sure that you took care of them on Mothers day.
Cool video! Have a great week!!
Hey, if you fast reel the mirrodine they do swim. Try a sweep and short pause. It works
Nice trout. Always fun to get them in the surf.
I was down your way this past weekend I stopped by the store and got a shirt and hat I seen brant I got down every year y'all are awesome and so nice
Great video, especially 4 different species!
Finally got that surf trout! Nice! Been working hard for that one
Hell yea brother!
Nice stud trout!
Wow you catching and throwing back?
Not a lot of fish, but definitely some good quality and variety. Looked like a nice day out.
Awesome video brother that trout I wish you could’ve kept it and did a catch and cook but I love you, surf fishing videos keep up the great work.

You stay bum, brother
Beautiful Trout Matt - caught a nice Gray trout/weakfish here in MD yesterday. First one in years as they are uncommon nowadays in the surf
Thanks again enjoyed the it
When you get a top water bite, it ought to be a good one.
Hey Matt, what lure is that twitchbait?
Found it. What size and weight?
Hello. My family and I are here at Anna Maria from Wisconsin until Saturday. Fishing is very slow. Do you have any pointers? Thanks!
We are beach fishing.
I'd enjoy accompanying you to our sporting goods store in July. Smack dab in the middle of Montana and all the real good fishing is equidistant.
What lake is this
Get on back ip to obx this October, I'll be looking for ya
I need to find a beach like this in Jacksonville Florida man

What rod weight/length do you prefer for throwing twitch baits?
Where did you get that shirt??
I would have never thought about a mirror lure from the surf
I have a question that I hope you can help me with I know you fish with spinning reels but I have a couple old school Penn squidders and I was looking for a good surf rod for them if you could suggest any I would greatly appreciate it thank you

Twitch bait mirrodean killin jt. Thanks Matt cheers Ricky 🇺🇸🎸👩🏻🦼🙏🐈⬛🎣💦
I think I recognized the blue fish. A "tailor" is Aus.
Got my Bummy on today!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Love the content it’s my dream to come down that way and fish saltwater and freshwater. Keep up the hard work
How heavy is your leader? Never have had luck with Spanish and mono usually get cut off.
I believe he said 17 pound.
Yes 17lb

Have you tried saltwater whopper ploppers?
I'm curious as to why you dont wade into the water to fish?
Stingray danger?
If you wade enough, you will catch a rouge wave, and you won't do it again if there is a afterwards...
Great video. Gotta get out and do some surf fishing.
Too dangerous. He was in rip currents…
ok, “deep pocket and rip”…. does that mean I need to look for drop offs in the depth and rip currents?
It seems like the same picture was used for the thumbnail in your last 3 videos just different closeups ?
I wanted to eat that beautiful trout... They are great without any kind of beer..
Nice
I don't know the Mirrodine but l am aware of the Mirrowlure.
Bama goes fishing; Oh I got a Spanish, no Bluefish, or maybe a Pompeno.. ME; I got a fish , I got a fish, shit I got a fish.
It's just that whiting don't hit top water!😂
Run a she dog or she pup. I slay in Texas with em.
I was just wondering HOW you didn't get cut off with all those toothy guys you were catching
Because you usually lip hook them. If they get that line in their mouth you are done.
Yeah, and the Spanish and Bluefish are great at tail whipping the line and breaking it. If the leader is shorter than the fish, it can still cut the main line
I can't believe you threw that trout back that would have been a great sandwich!
The click baitiness is strong with this one. But love the shows at any rate!
Love the video. The trout was very nice. But the title of the video was straight click bait. You made it a l dream like you was catching a huge fish
The crazy thing was catching a big trout in the surf that I’ve been trying to accomplish for weeks. We have to use interesting titles to get clicks.
Warning: please keep your hooks away from your pets. My puppy got past tge doggie gate & got a 3/0 hook stuck in her lip. Had to get it removed at the vet.
Don't you like to eat Spanish? Can't believe you're not eating those fish.
Why do Americans keep throwing their fish back? I go out for diner.
Im sorry but this was f'in clickbait....
I agree… I Fast Forwarded through the video twice and never saw what the TH-cam headline showed us.
You used to be more respectful of the fish you caught but you’ve changed. Throwing fish back is not mu cup of tea when you are close enough to the water to PLACE the fish back in its environment.
