I love my Divo nip. It's my go to back up carry that I use in public in front of sheeple. S90v and 0.008" bte, comfortable for it's size and a great edc cutter
K390 Bohler recommends it at 64, it can be at 65+ but when you approach 66 it starts being brittle like Maxamet. I’m not mad at 63 honestly. If they could get 64 that would be a perfect balance of the steel IMO.
Love Aeb-l or 14c28n at 63-64hrc. Have a small fixed blade and a chef knife in each and it's great. Gets really sharp, easy to sharpen and high edge stability and toughness for high hardness. Awesome user steels.
@@jusme8060 true. I remember when Kershaw first used it about 15 years ago. It was Soo bad. Really soft and gummy, huge burrs on the stones that wouldn't break off. That's why I go with custom makers when I get it mostly. Have a few good ones from production that are done pretty good.
Be proud of that knife, Bud. Out of the Park. Absolutely Knife Guy knife….and a blond woman with some kinda violet color streak over her ear kind of knife..as well. Heck..it’s just a laser with kung fu
All I have to say is I’m going to own all your damn folder designs! I’m a fan of them all! Can’t wait and congratulations on their releasing soon they will sell very well I know it!
Side note: what would I have to do to get you to sharpen my JWK locking Benny/POSSIBLY fix the sharpening choil? Might just be the way it's sharpened that makes it a little wonky, but I'd really love to experience one of your paper towel cutting edges. ❤
I know I saw one of your older videos for best affordable sharpeners and you said the ultra sharp diamond plates the 8x3 3 stone pack was a good budget sharpening system. I am not rolling in cash so what I buy has to count. My special lady got me the work sharp precision adjust elite with the three rods and I don’t know if the plates have worn out but lately it just isn’t doing much I can’t get shaving sharp despite going from 220 up to 800 then ceramic then strop. Do you think it’s better to get replacement plates for it or should I just switch to the ultra sharp plates. My only thing with the ultra sharp is I then have to also get or make a holder for them.
G0 into my hapstone link in description look into accessories and get the work sharp stone holder, then you can get new stones that will work far better
I’m just really curious why you chose to make the lock bar so huge compared to the rest of the handle? If you look at the WE Offender model you made, the lock bar is relatively tiny compared to the that of the Misdemeanor. I guess I just don’t understand being a “kniphe guy’s kniphe” but it appears that you’re almost guaranteed to deth lock yourself out if you fat finger the fuq outta the big lock bar during deployment. Just looks like there’s barely enough room and I’m just curious what advantages does that give you when having such a large lock bar to handle ratio? Why not have it the other way round and have the lock bar as small as the rest of the frame, and the rest of the frame larger like how the lock bar is? Is it an aesthetic choice because of how the pocket clip is and lands? Or maybe it’s a strength thing, that it has to be like that to maintain strength and stability? But then why would WE be able to make it so small on the Offender? I guess my questions come from a recent experience I had. I really liked the way the Brian Brown Raptor looked, so slim, so sleek, so mean, just an awesome looking kniphe from an artistry angle or an aesthetic standpoint. So eventually the perfect Raptor popped up on the secondary, a Brian Brown Raptor V2 in the gorgeous REC Exclusive with the DLC blade and bronze anodized Ti jigged milling pattern, and last but not least, the Zirconium accents! I thought it would be cool to put a different anodized color on it with that jigged milling, having different colors in the high and lows. So I finally decided that this price was right, the condition was brand new in box, never cut, never carried, and so I bought what I considered the perfect version. We it arrived I was stoked to finally have one! But as soon as I tried opening it I was immediately disappointed.. I’m not sure what went wrong.. how can something so awesome be so awful? I went the use the thumbstuds and thumb flick it open and no matter how hard I tried, the detent seemed way too strong and the slightest little teeny tiny touch of the lock bar immediately locked it up and made it impossible to enjoy.. On the Raptor V2, having a really slim handle, the lock bar is roughly the same size height as the rest of the frame. The amount of space to safely and firmly hold the handle is unfortunately limiting and touching the lock bar is very difficult not to do. It’s a problem with that design having such a thin handle and the lock bar taking up half of the amount of space that you have to hold onto while deploying. I think if the Raptor had a liner lock it would be a completely different situation and I would be able to hold, open, and enjoy it. Now I’m not at all conflating the Raptor’s design with that of the Misdemeanor’s. I understand that they are two completely different kniives and just because the Raptor has issues with me doesn’t necessarily mean that the Misdemeanor will too. But I just couldn’t help but to think back on my experience with the Raptor V2 and wonder how many other frame locks suffer from what I consider a fatal flaw. When I see how large the lock bar is on the Misdemeanor I can’t think of any good reasons why it is the size it is or why it was designed and made like that. Is there something I’m missing, something that I’m just not aware of or considering? Now I just also want to state that I love ya Jerad! This isn’t an issue worth dividing over or causing problems. That wasn’t my intention. It’s more of just an observation, opinion, critique, constructive criticism and questions all wrapped up together. I hope you can shed some light on your experience and understanding and you thinking behind and about why you made the Misdemeanor’s lock bar the way it is. Thanks very much! Wish you all the best and success that you can handle!
The Offender is a cool name great video man 👍

Gotta be careful though, many makers and companies suck at heat treating aeb-l. Not 14c or nitro v so much, just aebl for some reason.

Corey makes GORGEOUS blades. As someone who carries a fixed blade every day, I'll definitely get one down the road for sure.
Really like the design of the misdemeanor
Agreed! Really like the colorway of that prototype. Sad it's not going to be offered, but hope something similar will be.

Misdemeanor is the first premium knife that really appealed to me. The blade shape is a total win.
Enjoyed it Jared. Stoked for that Misdemeanor. Funds are set aside.
Congrats
Awesome! Thank you for the support
You need one of my customs, neighbor!! @NeevesKnives
Been buying folders for years. Only had a couple fixed blades up to this point. In the last 2 months I've bought 5. Great... another addiction.
I can’t wait for your knives to drop I’m going to try to get everyone lol finally became a member today

Holding out for that Midemeanor
Devo Nip L, not the Stout?
Neeves needs to make a budget folder. I can't be spending $300 on a knife. The most I can drop is like $225
I will b
How the hell did I forget you had a folder before the inmate? Looking forward to more from you J
