Beautiful collection of zinnias. Do you direct sow them or start them in small pots?
We start them from seeds indoors using small trays. When they germinate, we wait until they are bigger, then we transfer them into six pack trays.

@@TeodoraTheFlowerLady Yeah, I saw that after asking my original question. Did I misunderstand it or do you just use vermiculite as the seeding medium? You have such a beautiful garden in your home (but it looks like a lot more work than I can handle :))

Love zinnias. I’m a bit late starting them, mine are still in grow cells, gotta plant them out. I have the same varieties as you, minus the Edwardian....but those are super cute!

What soil mix do you use? And did you add fertilizer?
Hi Andrea, for the soil in the grow box, we purchased a truckload of garden soil from our local nursery. It takes quite a bit of soil to fill a grow box and soil mixes from Home Depot or Lowes are simply not enough. For the Zinnia planted in the ground, it is just regular dirt. We did not put fertilizer in the the dirt but we do water them with a mixture of MiracleGro fertilizer at least 2x a month during the growing season.
