Hi Basil, very interesting behind the scenes video. I was thinking of buying the HUAWEI WATCH GT 4 46mm Black for Christmas, how long does the battery last in normal everyday use? In principle it says up to two weeks but reading on the internet people often comment that it lasts a week and a bit.... Do you know if a new version is coming out soon and then it is better to wait? Best regards.
Hi, thanks for the comment and kind words. I can't say whether a new version will launch, but they tend to launch yearly, and the GT 4 was announced on September 14 2023, so I would suggest waiting a little bit just in case. The battery life of the GT4 massively varies depending on how much you use the GPS. I didn't do much outdoor running which is why mine always lasts between 1-2 weeks. Screen on time is also a factor, so AOD impacts it too if you need that on, but with typical use I always found it wiped the floor with my Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch and Pixel Watch. Not as smart, but I personally don't need a standalone computer on my wrist. Hope that helps! Basil
I have the Gt-4 and it's one of the best purchases i ever made. Responsive UI , Very good sensors but no ECG . As for battery life , mine lasts for 9-10 days with EVERYTHING on (not always on display though ) which i consider excellent battery life. But Huawei announced that will reveal the GT-5 on 19 September so i would wait for that
Huawei has some genuinely great tech, global politics aside.
Great video!
