Well I’m just getting sick of movies only being available on streaming services. How many of these do I have to pay for to watch one something I’m interested in seeing? I can’t pay for all of them. How and why did we become so okay with this?
@@ascent8487 Yes, you are right. It is unfortunate. What I've been doing lately is subscribing to a channel that is streaming a movie I want to see. I watch the film and then unsubscribe. This film is playing on HULU. Fortunately, I do subscribe to HULU so it worked out.
It's a fabulous movie isn't it! There will be so many women who will resonate with this film. The freedom of expression, the performance of both actors, they were outstanding considering the nature of the film. Beautifully done!

Frankly, I think they thought SHE was joking, cuz a lot of people would say that she doesn’t really look to be in her sixties. For me, she’s always seemed sort of timeless altogether, so her age has never really factored into it.

Stephen is absolutely correct, this movie is unlike anything else I've seen! Both Emma and Daryl are phenomenal, and as someone who has carried a lot of shame about my body and sex in general, I'm so grateful this film was made. Highly recommend and have no doubt we'll be seeing a lot more of Daryl 🙌

Ohhhh, I love this so much! As a "mature woman" at 58, I have literally told a friend recently that when I'm ready... I'm going to hire for pleasure. Not surprising it's written by a woman and she's right on time! Because so many women are at an intersection in our lives, i.e. late Boomers and early Gen X (me) women who are now in our late 50s and up can see ourselves in this film. We've been married/coupled/in relationships and may have raised children and/or taken care of sick parents through their demise, or gone through a divorce or their partner runs off with an often younger woman (I've been through both) or they're a widow, etc. And now that we don't have to care for anyone else but ourselves... we have the time to evaluate and discover and rediscover and uncover and excavate and reinvent. I am exactly in this place in my life right now. And I sincerely and honestly don't want another marriage. I don't even want any sort of a relationship that has expectations. I want to be completely and utterly free... to do whatever I want when I want. To tend to my own self. Hopefully to travel and go on adventures with my daughter or dear friends or on my own, and do anything and everything that takes me out of my comfort zone and has the chance of bringing me joy and laughter and peace. I've never felt so very content and excited about my life as I do now. Can't wait to see this film (and perhaps accelerate my plan).

Omg do it!!! You’ll be surprised how u young generation of women suffer similar things! The unrealistic porn culture and the damaging hook up culture are both toxic to young men and young women’s perception on sex! And believe me women these days are still shy away from demanding their own pleasure even in a large part of western societies. This movie is so groundbreaking and women all age should watch and learn from it!

Emma is one of Britain's grande dames of theater, and it made me wonder if she had ever appeared together with one of America's grande dames--Meryl Streep. "Angels in America" is the answer, which I've never seen, but is now on top of my list. Emma claims her greatest onscreen kiss was here with Meryl.

And I wish that people could accept themselves sexually, without shame. I’ve been lucky on that respect. I had a father who set me straight about it all by telling me that nothing about my body that made me feel good and didn’t harm others was perfectly normal; that I should trust myself and , as he put it “Just make sure you have fun.” That took away all of my teenage anxieties about sex.
