very school-like and studious playing position. these performances of the suzuki pieces will really help young players tremendously! it doesn’t contain too much phrasing for the purpose of focusing more on bowing, posture, fingering, and just clear notes and rhythms. beginners can easily play along and follow along while your playing is still beautiful and elegant! I love your vibrato technique too. 💗 this girl is amazing :)
I think the thing I love most about your vibrato is that you start it a fraction of a second after you begin to play the note, instead of starting the note with vibrato. It is a small thing to notice, but the effect on the performance is that you can hear the clear resonance of the tone and its sympathetic vibrations better at the beginning of the note before the vibrato begins, creating an overall pleasing musical effect. Well done!
I always figured that's how you're supposed to use vibrato. Let the longer notes still have punctual attacks but then gradually vibrate to a peak width in oscillation (appropriate to the style of music). If I am mistaken or if anything should be added, please reply.
you worded this perfectly. I just learned what resonance was the other day. my teacher taught me how to listen for it when there are octaves like 3rd G on D string and that makes the G string vibrate more. but I never knew that technique or occurrence had a name.
I am so glad to be of help! Working on the sound is a constant process, and with slow practice, anything is possible. Do you practice the tonalization exercises in the book? They are really excellent for tone production:-) Wishing you all the best for your practice🎻🌷🦋
Wow, thank you so much🙏 That makes me so happy! This makes all the work worth while🎻🌷 Music sure makes the world a better place, and we teachers have such a beautiful task of sharing it! Your students are very blessed to have you as their teacher! Wishing you all the best for your work and sending greetings from Vienna!
Cool and talented my mom said you play this song is good and nice i wish i could play this song like you and learn this song but keep it up keep up the good work .
I am so glad to be of help! You can find all the pieces in slow practice tempo on this channel as well which should help you even more:-) All the best for your practice!
This is a very good question. Generally, a student should be able to do the following techniqual elements well before adding the vibrato: 1) Posture - violin should be held only with shoulden and chin 2) The first four finger patterns should be very well established so that intonation is acceptable (does not need to be perfect, but should be stable) 3) Left hand posture should be relaxed, without clenching the thumb or having tension in the wrist or shoulder If these three elements are well developed, then usually a student in Book 3 is ready to begin with vibrato exercises:-) I hope this was helpful to you!
Oh dear! Have you tried watching this one in slow practice tempo? You can find it on my channel! Place the first finger on A string, and the third on D string, and the right hand does a slur over the two strings, it takes a bit of practice, but if you just practice those two notes first, you will get the hang of it! Then the upbow is always faster than the down bow as you need to get back to the frog for the next long note. I hope this helps and wish you all the best for your practice! Blessings from Vienna!
Thank you, and I am so glad to be of help to your practice! Anything is possible with consistent practice and lots of time. When I learned this the first time in my childhood, it did not sound like this:-)
thank you so much for this!! im currently working on it in my book, and having a better feel of how it sounds will definitely help me when im with my teacher!
Wonderful! Glad this helps! You can also find all the pieces in Book 2 (and 3 and 4) in slow practice tempo on my channel! That should help even more at the beginning stages of your new pieces! All the best for your practice!
All good things take time😊. You can find this piece in a slow practice tempo on my channel, which can be very helpful for your practice. And I am sure, that with good practice, you too can play this beautifully!
I don't know if it is normal but it took me more than 2 weeks to lern to play it the difficult part was the bowing . To control on the vow. I swa and hear this video more than ten times. Thanks
You are so welcome! And yes, it is quite normal to struggle with the bow, as it has two different bow speeds - slow on the downbow, and fast on the upbow, but one wants to make it sound smooth regardless:-) A fun challenge🎻🦋
You can find a video on the first steps of learning vibrato, but its best to start working on that once you are in book 3, and your teacher sees that you are ready for it:-) Keep up the good practice!🙏🏻🎻🦋
Thank you! I have been playing along with you as I practice through my suzuki books and you have helped a ton. One thing I've noticed is that you never have a stand. Did you memorize all these songs?
All good things take time:-) Keep up the good practice, and am glad to be of help to your son! You can also find all the pieces in slow practice tempo on this channel, that should be even more helpful:-) Best regards from Vienna to you and your son! 🙏🎻🦋

She makes the violin have such a grand sound. It sound majestic. 😊

I also like it, I've been learning vibrato for a week and I like that so I try to imitate it.

When should new learners, like me, start learning vibrato?

Sad but true - a piece that has been co-opted by at least two video games for the bad ending.
