That Popcorn marshmallow mixture is what they use to make popcorn balls! They Were a staple treat when I was a kid, especially in the fall at church. So delicious!
I know you’re taking a break from vlogging but I miss them 😢 lol just tuned in excited to see the recipes :) always looking for new recipes maybe I’ll try some depending on if you recommend 😊
I love when the internet thinks it invented something and it’s just…a thing that’s been around forever. Aka popcorn balls, but unballed? 😂 Either way, glad you loved it
Love this series of trying Viral things so I don't have to ❤ I'm usually a silent viewer but love your content!! Just wanted to say thank you!! Happy 4th 🎉
Kataifi is the base for my favorite Arabic dessert, kunafeh (pronounced kin-a-feh). It’s a top and bottom layer of the kataifi dough, pressed into a simple syrup soaked crust, with a middle of rose and orange blossom melted cheese (mozz texture). It’s absolutely delicious and seen as a celebration food! Highly recommend you try it even though it isn’t TikTok viral quite yet!
I make feta pasta like once a month because feta lasts so long in the fridge that it’s an easy, low effort meal that tastes soooo good. I add spinach to it when I stir it all up, and mannn. So tasty.
It's delicious! I waited so long to try that recipe because I assumed it would be overrated after trying a few viral recipes before that didn't impress. But I love the baked feta pasta. Tangy, sweet, savory, salty. A bit spicy from the chili flakes. What's not to love.
Carrie I love your cooking/testing viral recipe videos they are so cozy and such a treat to watch. Do give us more of these! Also you should try adding cottage cheese to your daily protein smoothie for extra protein!
Marshmallow with popcorn is NOT a new thing at all. Has noone ever had a popcorn ball before??? It's literally the same thing. I have had popcorn with marshmallow since I was a little girl and I was born in 1973. I even looked it up, popcorn balls were first in a cookbook around 1861.This is not a new thing at all. So if they think that is amazing try popcorn, butter, brown sugar and marshmallow. Melt the butter, add brown sugar until melted, add marshmallows. Finally add the popcorn and mix.
Came here to make this comment! Thank you for doing it already 👏👏👏👏👏 Just another example of children on the internet thinking they invented everything 😂
Might not be new but new for a lot of ppl via TH-cam / ig. I’ve never seen it and I’m from a small island because it’s not a common treat , it’s kinda like a movie theater food and that’s it .
It's delicious if you use good tomatoes. I use a higher ratio of tomatoes to feta, and add shallots, garlic and chili flakes. Very simple yet flavorful!
Love the video ❤ would love more like these 😊 But please please be careful with baking paper, I had an oven fire because of improper use 🫣 You should have any sticking out as that part can actually burn 🔥
Have you tried fluff for rice crispy treats? I wouldn't expect it would work because it's much looser than melted marshmallows. Usually in the melting process they cook to a firmer "ball stage" than just what marshmallows uncooked would be.
I love cottage cheese and am very picky about it. I think the Trader Joe's brand tastes good--but if I happened to buy a tub that was sub-par, baking it like you did would be a good way to use it up.
But...those are just the popcorn balls we had as kids in the 80s and now it's a "viral TikTok" recipe??!! 🤣🤣🤣🤦♀ It's making me laugh but also, sometimes I hate social media. 😂😂 I suppose everything old is "new" again!
I grew up in Az in the early 2000s and I remember it being a staple around Halloween/fall time. Definitely not a new concept. But it’s probably just regional like a lot of other things haha
With the chocolate if you do a deeper mold make sure to get the sides and then pour some of it out back into the bowl on the top so that it’s super thin and coats the walls too!
I want to try the marshmallow popcorn but I don’t want to deal with the clean up! (I don’t have a dishwasher machine lol) Also: I would love to see you do more recipe videos!
Just thought of the marshmallow popcorn being popcorn balls that I would get around Halloween! (Also made with the same ingredients, just formed into a ball) maybe that’s just a Midwest thing tho!
i have been thinking about the marshmallow popcorn for a week and came back to comment to let you know that i have purchased the ingredients and will finally be making it this evening!
Acc to other comments, I'm right--this is how we used to make popcorn balls. I remember our family getting enormous tins for Christmas full of popcorn balls--the marshmallow was colored red and green. I feel like it was a v 70s thing. I personally think not using microwave popcorn would be better--just use air-popped corn.
I'm sorry but whoever decided we need to smash rice krispie treats into a pan and try to cut them? Nah. Dump that on a sheet of wax paper on the counter and just tear chunks off. Why are we working so hard to ruin them? Why?
I’ve been eating sticky popcorn aka marshmallows and popcorn since I was a kid. I’m surprised it’s popular now lol I also add some vanilla extract and a bit of brown sugar it’s so good
for the chocolate bar, you need less on the bottom/top (the initial layer) and coat the sides then probably wait longer in the fridge or toss in the freezer.
If you are looking for some tortillas that have more protein and fiber in them, look for the mission carb balance tortillas. They have them in many different sizes and in both whole wheat and white tortillas, and they have almost what you should have in fiber and quite a bit of protein. We use these as my husband is a diabetic.
Am I the only one that thinks these viral pistachio chocolate bars don’t look appetizing at all and look like they are filled with baby poop? 😂😂no? Just me?
And the chocolate with Kataifi Pastry is the same as Baklava with chocolate around it, and instead of chopped pistachio and honey/syrup they are using pistachio butter. Again looked it up and that recipe is around 1600's. I think these people have just found their grandma's old recipe books or something and then just minimally tweaking them and then saying look what I came up with. No you didn't (insert eye roll).
Could we do some cooking vlogs?! I live by myself and am constantly looking for recipes that are good but also don’t involve me eating them for the next week
I read: one cup of cottage cheese, two eggs, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder and 1 ½ teaspoons of Italian seasoning. Cook 40 minutes at 350°
Laughing at the popcorn one… as soon as she described it I was like…. You mean popcorn balls? 😂😂
Literally never heard of popcorn balls"...
my favourite thing to get at halloween!
That Popcorn marshmallow mixture is what they use to make popcorn balls! They Were a staple treat when I was a kid, especially in the fall at church. So delicious!
Omg. Same❤
Or the Halloween treats in the fancy neighborhood as a kid.
I was just thinking about pop corn balls the other day - I never knew there was marshmallow in them.
My mom used to make them at Christmas. She formed them in big balls and wrapped then with colored cellophane
I'm definitely going to try the first 2
As a pastry chef i can say the chocolate bars impressed me!! 👀😍 ..you actually got the chocolate to look shiny on the outside ✨
I’m crying tears at the Zuckerberg sweet baby rays clip HELP
I know you’re taking a break from vlogging but I miss them 😢 lol just tuned in excited to see the recipes :) always looking for new recipes maybe I’ll try some depending on if you recommend 😊
but with POPCORN...not MARSHMALLOWS on the text you mean?😉
It made me giggle when I noticed
Don’t worry Carrie I’m ADHD and have dyslexia and would’ve never noticed lol 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 Amazing video!
I also noticed this and RAN to the comments 😭😭
Beat me to point it out.
That made me giggle 🤭 cause that’s something I’d do too LOL
I love when the internet thinks it invented something and it’s just…a thing that’s been around forever. Aka popcorn balls, but unballed? 😂 Either way, glad you loved it

Oooh, it sounds like somewhat of a 'distant cousin' to baklava (i.e. delicious 🤤)
I thought it looked like baklava too. Yum!
The timer sound you used when trying the chocolate had me laughing out loud 🤣
The editing on the chocolate part was so funny… loved this!
OK, but I legit tried to feta pasta for the first time like a month ago and it’s actually so good.
I make feta pasta like once a month because feta lasts so long in the fridge that it’s an easy, low effort meal that tastes soooo good. I add spinach to it when I stir it all up, and mannn. So tasty.
@@kalliedoscope Right? I was like speak for yourself I make it all the time.

The editing of this??? Magnificent! Love you Carrie ❤️❤️❤️ hope everything is going well for you and Drew irl!
Carrie I love your cooking/testing viral recipe videos they are so cozy and such a treat to watch. Do give us more of these!
Also you should try adding cottage cheese to your daily protein smoothie for extra protein!
Loved the content and editing of this vid! The sweet baby rays Zuck compilation 😭😭
I think we need a regular Cooking with Carrie video!❤
THE DIVERGENT SCREAM WHEN THE CHOCOLATE BAR FELL HAD ME ROLLINGGGGG😭😭😭
Feta pasta was never just a trend for me ❤
Sweet baby rays is elite! It’s my favorite and my husband always roasts me for it. 😂

Halloween and Christmas staple!
Right, n=my Grandma used to make all the grandkids Popcorn balls for Halloween.
Might not be new but new for a lot of ppl via TH-cam / ig. I’ve never seen it and I’m from a small island because it’s not a common treat , it’s kinda like a movie theater food and that’s it .
I love these testing videos they are so fun!!
During the holidays I have always made marshmallow popcorn balls since I was a kid. They are amazing
Not me making feta pasta (and iterations of it) on the regular 😄
Same, it's my favorite lazy treat meal
It's delicious if you use good tomatoes. I use a higher ratio of tomatoes to feta, and add shallots, garlic and chili flakes. Very simple yet flavorful!
Chef Carrie is the best type of Carrie!!!❤❤❤
If you liked the popcorn you need to add brown sugar. Just look up marshmallow Carmel popcorn! Delicious 😋
More of these videos please! Love this! 🙌🏻
omg I love that tahini in a marinade for grilled chicken 🤤🤤
the editing on this vid is so fun i love it! you can tell time was put in to make it perfect👌👌
The dramatic reality show music during the chocolate bar tasting 👏
Love your cooking videos!
Idt I’ve ever commented on a video but I have to hand it to your editor, I’m dying at laughing at the commentary and edit on this
i also have never commented but since I am her editor and u called me out I want to say tysm
Love the video ❤ would love more like these 😊
But please please be careful with baking paper, I had an oven fire because of improper use 🫣
You should have any sticking out as that part can actually burn 🔥
i love finding ways to use cottage cheese as a substitute for something else, will have to try!
i like your outfit, im going to try the popcorn and fluff one right now it looks good ! also id just buy fluff instead of making my own
Have you tried fluff for rice crispy treats? I wouldn't expect it would work because it's much looser than melted marshmallows. Usually in the melting process they cook to a firmer "ball stage" than just what marshmallows uncooked would be.
Great video! Love watching you test out viral tiktoks!
I love cottage cheese and am very picky about it. I think the Trader Joe's brand tastes good--but if I happened to buy a tub that was sub-par, baking it like you did would be a good way to use it up.
I love Sweet Baby Ray's!
I want to put chocolate chips in the popcorn and marshmallows.
love your channel!! you are amazing🩷🩷
GIRL. In the intro I thought you were putting a whole tub of almond butter into a plate of hasbrowns and you should have seen my face 😂😂
loving the new editing style carrie, i love seeing your humor shine through!
Girl! The chocolate looks great, especially as a first attempt 😊❤️
"hot marshmallow juice" 😭😭
The first one looks amazing. I wonder if you could do ricotta cheese with marinara sauce and an egg for an Italian flare.
I feel like you'd want to put the marinara ON it, not IN it, but I bet it would be great with ricotta
I think you need to put the chocolate on the sides of the mold as well if you want to get a real bar. If not of course it will be just layers.
Love all the things! I'm here for all of it!
Sweet baby rays, sweet baby rays 😂
But...those are just the popcorn balls we had as kids in the 80s and now it's a "viral TikTok" recipe??!! 🤣🤣🤣🤦♀ It's making me laugh but also, sometimes I hate social media. 😂😂 I suppose everything old is "new" again!

I’m really surprised marshmallow popcorn is like a thing people don’t know about, did y’all never get popcorn balls for Halloween growing up?
@@Surferzoeno one is saying it’s earth shattering……..
With the chocolate if you do a deeper mold make sure to get the sides and then pour some of it out back into the bowl on the top so that it’s super thin and coats the walls too!
Marshmallow popcorn went viral in the 90s I love that it’s making a comeback
Fun video! I'd definitely like to see more.
I enjoyed this video!! Thanks for making it.
I want to try the marshmallow popcorn but I don’t want to deal with the clean up! (I don’t have a dishwasher machine lol)

I loved the feta pasta!!!
Wait. Popcorn balls went viral on tictok 😂. Put chocolate chips in with it and it's phenomenal lol
i have been thinking about the marshmallow popcorn for a week and came back to comment to let you know that i have purchased the ingredients and will finally be making it this evening!

The big brother music when taste testing the chocolate bars 😂
Really loving the recent editing changes!
love this series!! also, you might find it helpful to put a damp paper towel or cloth under your cutting board! it'll help it from sliding around :)
Drew using a fork....how sophisticated 😂
you can try using pistachio spread insead of butter for a sweeter filling! it's a lighter, more moussey texture.
I'm sorry but whoever decided we need to smash rice krispie treats into a pan and try to cut them? Nah. Dump that on a sheet of wax paper on the counter and just tear chunks off. Why are we working so hard to ruin them? Why?
Yes. This is it. I never smash mine down, they're so delicious and gooey in their heap.
Love Sweet Baby Rays but like... Have you tried the Jack Daniels bbq sauce??!!? Deeeelicious
I’ve been eating sticky popcorn aka marshmallows and popcorn since I was a kid. I’m surprised it’s popular now lol I also add some vanilla extract and a bit of brown sugar it’s so good
once again. I love the editing!!!!!!!!
OK. I need to find more cooking videos like this to have people try the tiktok food trends so I can watch vicariously
My residents would love this.
I’ve been wanting to try those chocolates so bad 😂
so excited to watch this!
This made me hungry
I will be making the marshmallow popcorn immediately
for the chocolate bar, you need less on the bottom/top (the initial layer) and coat the sides then probably wait longer in the fridge or toss in the freezer.
Back in the day, Popcorn Balls, made with marshmallows, we're handed out on Halloween 🎃
If you are looking for some tortillas that have more protein and fiber in them, look for the mission carb balance tortillas. They have them in many different sizes and in both whole wheat and white tortillas, and they have almost what you should have in fiber and quite a bit of protein. P.S. loooveeeeee this video since i dont use tiktok! More please 😂
“It does look homemade” 😂
Yes to these videos!
Am I the only one that thinks these viral pistachio chocolate bars don’t look appetizing at all and look like they are filled with baby poop? 😂😂no? Just me?
I love cottage cheese🤤
I still make the feta pasta 🙋🏻♀️
My toddler loves “cheese eggs” which is just 2 eggs and a big scoop of cottage cheese mixed up in a shallow bowl and microwaved for a couple minutes.
The way I gasped when the chocolate bar fell
Okay but WHERE did you get the Kadayif???? It's exactly what I need to try to remake my step mom's knafeh!!!
Hiiiii Carrie!! The first way you said kadayif is correct!!!
What a fun video!
I love these videos so much it's SICK
Yeah OK I'm going to do all of these now aha.
Trader Joe’s Carolina gold bbq sauce is SOOOO good
Me seeing the whipped coffee as a trend on this video while sipping my whipped coffee: 😳
The outfit is soo cute!
Could we do some cooking vlogs?! I live by myself and am constantly looking for recipes that are good but also don’t involve me eating them for the next week
Do popcorn balls not exist in California?? They are a common snack in the midwest. My mom always made popcorn balls especially around halloween.
I read: one cup of cottage cheese, two eggs, ½ teaspoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon onion powder and 1 ½ teaspoons of Italian seasoning. Cook 40 minutes at 350°
Me watching this while making the 2020 feta pasta 😂
The tahini confuses me but I love pistachio things so I will be trying this ASAP
Like these videos
I wonder if you can make a few of the wraps ahead of time
Happy whopper Wednesday
