This may have changed recently but you can use the loppers from the store to make saplings of all curtailed trees

You can use the come along in the bed of the truck to fix the wood splitter position
Also, 4 wheel drive will get you out of the ditch
If you cut down the Maple trees for firewood, it seems like it would make it harder for you to harvest maple syrup later on...just saying...lol
