This is literally just the beginning of Barbie omg
No. For Barbie never was a feminist.
Impresionante
If Hollywood ever makes a bio pic about Alice Guy Greta Gerwig would be the perfect person to direct it.
Welcome back, iconautas, we missed you. 😊
Thank you - Grazie
I think this film is very smart in a very funny way, it displays male bad behaviors acted out by women saying., see men, this are some of your undesirable behaviors! It's also very ironic. the Grey area between black and white, good and bad.
You're daydreaming. This movie was not made with that intention
I think it was poking fun at the men's bad behaviour. Why is acceptable for men to be a bunch of crude rabble rousing drunks but not women?
@@sergiotelechemhhtt5a31intention doesn't matter, the author is a fiction. All that matters is form, structure and motion. Meaning is ever-changing.
@@sergiotelechemhhtt5a31 besides that @SpiderMan-gf1lc is right, that the director of this movie actually had these kind of intentions
Oh trust me filmmakers in the early 1900s were not that subtle lmao
The end is clever, they take back power and as spectators we're kind of hapy about that, because we saw them opressed all through the story.
This film made new feminists in his time I think, seeking this kind of happy end but irl.
At the end the guys just wanted to drink their whiskey together 🤣
That's the best alternative world I've seen so far
is this feminstic or anti-feministic. I dont know
this film is feminist in relation to its era, but not ours. But it is still an important sociological document, at the time of Alice Guy to think that women could replace men was considered such an absurd event that it could only happen in a film.
@@danzka_ This film is a parody, not a documentary or social exposé film. Alice Guy brings to men all the clichés that men of her time had for women, we must consider it with a historical document, not a feminist film
@@iconaus It's satirical.
I think it is anti-domination, anti-division.
My interpretation and understanding was hard at the beginning but as it approached its conclusion, it was made very clear. The movie heavily mocks any domination or division of a common race, because no matter who dominates, the other will always want to dominate aswel, creating a hypocrate loop.
The message is against division and domination, we shall love and respect everybody, nothing diferentiate us, we all have identical spirit.
Spettacolare e all' avanguardia 😂❤
Thank You!

This film is NOT politically correct! Brave viewing for hard-core conservatives! What about that scene where one man kisses another on his forehead! Horrors! And the scene where men push baby buggies! Yikes! NOT MANLY! Rough viewing! I hope this film was rated X in its day! DeSantis would be shocked and ban this film from Florida with all the other 'perversity' in this piece of filth!
Please, people! Can you not tell that I am being facetious? Already I am being criticitized, misunderstood. My comment was meant to be humorous and a tad sarcastic poking fun at the far-right who is so anti-LGBTQ and so against the feminist movement and women's rights. Loosen up and let's laugh together. Actually I loved the film!
I totally disagree with you. Your judgement does not consider the historical and social context, but is based on your moral convictions. Why does a kiss scandalise you so much? I don't see anything wrong with it and I think this film has a very high cultural value.
I understood your sarcasm
@@iconaus man it's such an obvious sarcasm
Seems like you're the only one triggered by those men kissing, with your unidimensional thinking. What does De Santis have to do with all this? Chill out, it's a comedy.
@@williammkydde Can you not see that I was being facetious with dry sarcasm? I'm a gay man myself. I was poking fun at hard-core conservatives that would freak out over the 'political incorrectness' of this old film since anything with LGBTQ references freaks them.
Pardonnez mon Français. J'utilise Google Traduction.
Having lived through another pride month, I’d say that was prophetic.
Yes!
having “lived through” another pride month is such a funny statement to me. I’m glad you survived the oh so horrible events of pride month 😥
@@PizazzMcJazz Describe such events outloud and your ears and anyone around you shall listen to a extremely traumatizing horror story.
The world sadly rotten by our hands, but in a very specific and precise speed that makes us spoil and destroy it more, not be aware of it, but keep going. It will always look normal, that's the genius strategy that seems perfect to our foolish eyes. And even if you are an atheist, when you notice it, you shall credit the devil for such ingenuity.
