Everyone gets worried because of the plague in the city. Suleiman gets worried about Hurrem's health and directly goes to her. Sultana Sah finds out that Lutfi Pasha has had a meeting with Hurrem and wants an explanation from her husband. When Prince Mustafa sails without her father's knowladge, they fall aout with each other more. As Hurrem looks for a way to be able to go back to the palace, Sultana Sah tears the heart out of Hürrem.
Hurrem gets angry because of Rustem's daring but she finds the idea of marriage logical. Meanwhile, Suleiman consults Sultana Sah about it. Sultana Sah understands that Rustem has chosen Hurrem instead of her. She is determined to prevent this marriage.
Sultana Sah learns that Lutfi Pasha has met with Hurrem secretly and asks an explanation from him. Lutfi Pasha, who has got angry because of what Hurrem said, ask something else from his wife.
Mihrimah gets supported by Bali Bey during her mother's absence and builds up hopes again. She talks to her mother. As she was dreaming of marrying Bali Bey, she learns about Rustem Pasha.
In the meantime, Prince Mustafa sails away to be able to catch the pirate who has ensanguined the Mediterranean. Mustafa doesn't realize that he's losing his father's trust while he's winning the people's appreciation.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

So what? No one should be forced to marry just because they other side loves him or hed

@@nielubieinceli Mihrimah had to get married soon as the longer Hurrem waits for Bali Bey or some other man Mihrimah loves to recuperate their feelings for marriage, the more time Shah and Hatice had to find their own person to marry Mihrimah to so that Hurrem’s son in law won’t give her a strong political standing.

None of women had choice. Even if allowed to marry their spouse could be executed or they could be ordered to divorce them.

Why wasn’t he forced to marry her. She didn’t love the other guy. What did love have to do with it? All well connected families had no choice in marriage. No matter the country in this time. @@sandy_3597

It's better to remain unmarried - many of the contemporary Mughal princesses remained unmarried all their lives

@@princess7jasmine contemporary in Mihrimah 's age - how can it be contemporary now?? Emperor Akbar - 3rd emperor of Mughal Empire then ruling India had at least 3 named daughters living in 1500s - Shahzadi Khanam; Aram Banu Begum & Shakhr un Nissa Begum. Of these Aram Banu Begum remained single till death.

@@dipanwitadasgupta5221 You should have been clearer because "contemporary" just means modern day/recent. Anyways, Mihrimah could never have that kind of privilege because she's Suleiman's ONLY daughter whilst the 3rd Mughal Emperor had 6 + the children he adopted. Marriages is a big drive of politics in the Ottoman Empire, much like how Suleiman's mother was the daughter of a Crimean Khan, not a slave.

@@princess7jasmine contemporary for Mihrimah can only be in the 1500s - it's obvious to anyone. Nobody would ever say modern age applied to someone who was born in 1522 🙄
