Damn, now I feel kinda better ever since my barber ruined my hair with a full buzz cut, after a full two years of growing it out. Let's be shaved together!!
A lot of people have asked me if I plan to cut my hair in the future. I always joke that there’s this aspect of “I’ve come too far, I’ve gone through so much” that a cut seems almost alien as a concept. Really inspiring to see you not only donating to a good cause, but having a really good attitude about it. Looking forward to seeing your journey in future, and thanks for making videos that instill such confidence.
Great video! Was awesome to hang and so pumped you made it to The Great Cut. It was important to have you there. Can't wait for the next one! We'll see you in Texas sometime before then!
Wonderful cause. You've been and will continue to be an inspiration for so many on their hair journey, regardless of the individual goals. The new short hair style looks fantastic on you and going forward many would benefit from tips on maintaining a shorter hairstyle such as yours. The communities you've created are a friendly and welcome resource in a sea of information and whichever direction of the channel goes, I have no doubt it will remain so.
Woah its been months considering a major cut (13 years with long hair) and this just came at the right time, almost as if it was a sign. thanks for doing such thing! i will for sure join the cause
Admirable Trav! You were my role model as I grew my hair out and told friends "I'd love to look like him", and you'll still be an inspiration for contributing to good causes and embraching change
I can't wait for this new era of content. I'm currently growing my hair out to donate and I have a long way to go. But hey, I now have somebody at roughly the same length who I can follow and take inspiration from as the journey continues. :)
Awesome brother I'm doing the same just not at a cool event . It's cool to think you're helping someone who would feel so much more confident with it. 🎉❤ 2 more months
The timing is great! I'm about to cut/donate my hair as well (next week), so we'll be near the same length. I've seen first hand how self-conscious adults with just minimal hair loss can get when going through something like cancer treatments. To imagine what a child who lost all their hair must feel, and knowing that we can help restore their confidence and positivity is something that brings me more joy than I've had in a while. I wish there was a cool event where I live, but posting it on the Mannered Manes page will have to be good enough.
love the haircut man it really brings out those waves ! bet it feels so healthy! you look great either way but i love the change and ythat was amazing thing donating it !
Your new hair looks nice man. Your channel is partly the reason I'm growing my hair now lol. I'm on month 7 aka the awkward stage. It's pretty hard but, I plan to donate it when it gets really long like I did a few years back. Enjoy the short hair tho!
I have donated twice already - working on number 3.... I was motivated by a friend who lost her battle to cancer who told me "any day with hair is a good hair day!" Well done!
Cheers to you bro!! What an amazing cause and I’ve enjoyed your journey! You’ve been an inspiration for so many and I applaud you! Here’s to new journeys! 🤙🏼😎
I enjoyed the video. I was going to donate my hair then too, but I ended in the hospital in Palm Springs. It would have been great to be at the event. It looked like a fun time.
Hi Trav, I was at the Great Cut as well, but I was only there in the morning and evening cutting blocks. I donated about 14" and 6 Oz of hair. I committed to growing my hair out in around March of 2021 after discovering your videos. You specifically made me feel confident enough to grow out my mane. I discovered the Longhairs from your videos and quickly fell in love with them as well. I had no idea how long I would keep my hair or how long it would even get, but I told myself if it was around in 2024 still, I would go to the Great Cut and donate it. My long hair has given me power, made me confident in myself, and gotten me a girlfriend turned wife! Thank you for all you do. See you at the next Great Cut. P.S. the cut looks great!
You have been a great inspiration and added so much value to my hair care knowledge and acceptance around taking my hair care routines more seriously. You have an awesome heart and solid head of hair and this will bless a person in more ways than you know. GOD Bless you and your family Trav!
Respect ❤ I couldn’t cut off my 4 year growth, means too much to me emotionally and is a massive part of my identity now, but respect the hell out of you guys doing this, when the great cut 2024 was years out I was on my growth journey, Trav, Longhairs, beard brand and more. I just don’t see my hair growth as finite. I work for a kids charity so do a lot daily to help kids, but I couldn’t cut my hair off, it’s a part of me. Much respect, enjoy the next chapter Trav
It's very brave and noble to donate your hair especially if it's that long💜,if i was you i'd donate half or 60% of it until it's shoulder-lenght,but that's just me ^^ i wish you guys have a nice day !
Dude no wonder why you looked so familiar! I was a volunteer sweeping up the hair and asked you how long you were waiting in line for. I’m freaking subscribed to your channel. I donated 16 inches of hair that day.
I've had long hair for about 25 years (I'm 35 now) and I'm thinking about cutting it short for the first time, probably about the length that you cut yours. I'd love if you could make some videos giving tips for guys who are dealing with short-ish hair for the first time, especially things like different ways to style it or something like that.
It feels like those videos where a kid starts crying bc their dad shaved their beard. Its very jarring! But I bet it feels great too after the big cut.
Respekt to you and very intresting to watch your Hair grow Out again . I couldnot Cut IT even If wanted because in my Kultur with cutting your Takes would Take my Honor. Me and my Family still believe in the old north Rituals since thundred of years. Only when you get married or your Hair Fall Out you are allowed to Cut IT. My grandmother Said she dont know why people now Look Like the slave in the old Times ... They Always got Cut their Hair or bread down AS i dont really cannot grow Beard the Long Hair IS only Thing i have . Thats a Familie Tradition But what you Guys are Doing is really cool thanks the world people Like you exist . Greetings from Iceland .
I decided to donate 14 inches of my hair to the Rapunzel Foundation after watching this video, I had been growing out my hair from 28/8/2020 to the 26/4/2024. I felt a bit nervous walking up to the Salon, I showed up around 10 minutes before my appointment, but the stylist was very friendly and welcoming to me, they sat me down and plaited my hair, they measured it, cut it and put it in an envelope. She then washed it with shampoo and give me a haircut I was very happy with, (long on top and shorter everywhere else) with me usually parting it down the middle. I would gladly do it again and the support from my family makes it better :)
Very admirable Trav. I did just watch your latest video, and then I had to watch this. Dude did you cry just a little? hahahaha Anyways all for a great cause and yeah man hair does grow back.
When I worked in a shop before my rheumatoid arthritis set in and I had to stop cutting about 11 years ago the owner of the shop knew a wig maker who donated her time to make wigs and with the help of other local vendors and my boss pitching in to buy the supplies we made quite a few sighs . The wig maker , my boss , the barber and the client if he wanted to go went there and little parties were thrown when the wig was given out . We gave all the poor kids suffering a little gift and a party . It was a special event . We had one client who had mega long hair and he bought a friend and they both stayed bald till the two little girls were better and could have their hair long enough to style again . . The funny part is the original client was having a melt down and was sad to see his hair go and did not enjoy the head-shave lol
I was planning on donating my hair to The Great Cut 2024 but ended up donating it for a 2nd time in 2022. I haven't cut it since my last hard part skin fade in July. I was thinking about just cutting it again and not growing it out a 3rd time until Lindsay announced that they will do it again in 2029. As soon as I heard that I decided that I'm going to grow it as long as I can between now and then.
How about when ready to start seriously growing razor shave it bald and log monthly hair growth along with the different styles during the growing season
I cut my hair with the intention of donating it about 5 years ago. I heard some bad stuff about Locks of Love so the locks are still sitting in a ziplock bag in my drawer tied with hairbands/rubber bands. Do you think Children With Hair Loss will accept my previous bag of hair along with some more "fresh" stuff? I was thinking of donating my current hair when I stumbled on your channel a couple months ago when you brought up the plan to donate it yourself. I completely forgot about it until I stumbled across this video 😂 Love your content and I want to help some people ❤
Trav you’re a very handsome man who I call “The Lion Man”. Okay, so the lion’s had a shave, and you do look in some ways much better - err no, actually you look ‘different’ but still wonderful and very handsome. I’m also pleased to hear that you are gonna grow it out again because that’s the look that I remember you for the most. So to conclude, the short haircut brings out your eyes, which is such a good thing. It suits you very much, but so does the long hair. Either way it works for you. The Lion Man will return…
hi i'm from brazil so i dont know this event, i thought its really cool and important , someone will be very happy with your hair , congratulations and good luck in your new journey, i'm sorry about my english i'm begginer, ps i love your channel ;)
So my hair is just so unruly damaged and dry from not knowing how to take care of long hair and I think it’s time to start fresh again. I’m waiting on my hair apt. this week but I have a feeling they will say to just buzz it because I’m also balding due to TRT as a male which I have been treating for almost 6mos with minoxidil. So my re-growth should actually only be starting about now. So… my plan is to grow it back out healthy this time and it would be cool to donate maybe in 5 years?

The end of an era!
The start of a new one!
The Longhairs are great for putting this on. Glad you were part of it Trav, and thanks for keeping it fresh.

Your short hair looks so good!
And for a great cause as well ❤
Admirable Trav! You were my role model as I grew my hair out and told friends "I'd love to look like him", and you'll still be an inspiration for contributing to good causes and embraching change
Wow, i started following you when you had like 10k subs, now you almost have 200k, keep it going man, your videos make me feel so motivated
Fantastic and inspirational thanks for sharing Trav and bless you. Enjoy the grow out if you choose that path 🇬🇧
I can't wait for this new era of content. I'm currently growing my hair out to donate and I have a long way to go. But hey, I now have somebody at roughly the same length who I can follow and take inspiration from as the journey continues. :)
Was wanting to come to this event, but I only started my hair growth journey 14 months ago. Looking forward to hair growth videos Trav!
Such a noble cause. God bless all of you.
Awesome brother I'm doing the same just not at a cool event . It's cool to think you're helping someone who would feel so much more confident with it. 🎉❤ 2 more months

I grew out my hair 4 years ago because of your content and I just cut it a month ago for The Princess Trust can't wait to see the new stuff coming!!!!
Thanks trav I’m looking forward to follow you on your regrow journey
You look good in any way, but I was so used to you with long hair:)) I learned a lot about hair care from you and I can only thank you🙏🏽🙏🏽
Awesome video man!! You look great with the new look!
Congrats on doing this. Amazing cause. I really admire that you did this. And fwiw you look fly as ever with short hair!
this made me so sad... your donation is beautiful.
I enjoyed the video. I was going to donate my hair then too, but I ended in the hospital in Palm Springs. It would have been great to be at the event. It looked like a fun time.
Awesome. Thank you Trav for doing such a great thing. I look forward to the regrowth... whenever you do that.

I just cut my hair 3 weeks ago, same boat brother. You look great either way.

@@waltersanchez2623 Haha that's funny! Ironically, my daughter didn't react at all. She was like "oh ok, daddy has short hair now"

This was an amazing video. Once I am ready to get rid of my long hair (still growing) I will be sure to check them out!!
You look like a different person, good for you
Big respect to this man
It must haave been tough for you but at the end of the day you made someone very happy with your locks.😊 Btw short hair suits you.

Thats honorable, i dont think i could do it especially if it was as long as yours, even though i have shitty hair ☹️
The short hair looks good! I honestly think Trav would still look pretty good with zero hair at all.
Awesome you did that, I've done it myself and it's really worth. It grows back anyway lol
WOW U LOOK GREAT EVEN WITHOUT YOUR LONG HAIR BRO!
Big heart ❌
Golden heart ✅
Short hair summer let's go!!!!
never thought I'd say this, but you look much better with short hair
Great video for a great cause

Same feeling when i decide cutting my 3 years grown hair, well its just a hair it will grow again.and now 1 and a half year it grows again
I hope you will grow your hair back. It suits you the best
Travis your one reason I grew out my hair long
you should keep posting videos on here and stuff on your app!
Just cut mine all off and seeing you do this makes me feel better about it😅
Well this is a great act bro. I also grow my hair to donate. 12 inches so far
I donated by mail a month or so ago. But your hair is still longer than mine. I guess Texas will be cooler for us both.
looking great
Wait I thought this event was going to happen in June... Damnit I missed it!
Don't worry, Trav is gonna grow all that hair back in the next couple weeks 😂
Heart warming ❤❤❤

Saaad bro😔 but your good cause will be rewarded in a blessing to you😁
Had I known about this I would have gone and finally donate my hair of 5 years.
Well, my hair is about your length, maybe a hair shorter (lol), so I’m looking forward to growing it together with you
