Bob, I just want to commend you and your team for all the kindness you show others through your desire to practically help others. The life of a nomad is not for everyone and certainly has challenges. It is so lovely to see people like this couple who were taken advantage of, finding that there are nice people in the world and being encouraged and supported on their journey.
I agree. He gets a lot of the hate that’s to be expected for popular and successful TH-camrs. But I’ve always found him to be genuine and wanting to help people. Seems like he’s doing his “calling” or “ministry”, for those who use those terms.

I appreciate how grateful these folks are for having the ability to live out of their van. anyone who doesnt understand how this kind of life is a step up in living has never had to go through situations like these people because of the disparity between the cost of living these days and getting work that can afford it and a bad break or two.
What an absolutely adorable couple! I have been married almost 51 years. I can't get him to camp with me. We both use to tent camp together. Even in the snow.
At least he is letting me go. Would be so much more fun if he would venture out with me.
Being on Medicare I found "Silver Sneakers" which is that many Fitness Centers offer free enrollment which means Free Showers! Yay!

The meal that Jackie prepared looked really good. I'm glad that both of them are healthy and happy. I retired in 2018 and I purchased a new truck and travel trailer. My wife and I were happy with our purchase but having all of those conveniences while travelling turned out to actually be inconvenient. Here in Canada the summer is short, and we only wanted to to travel a few weeks per year. It was quite difficult to find fully serviced sites when we wanted them, and often there were no sites available, regardless of services, unless we booked a site several months in advance. Also, we found towing, parking, and maintenance to be a bit of a chore. We sold the truck and trailer last year and got back most of our money. We then used our Honda CR-V to do some car camping and had a great time. It appears that car camping is a better solution for us given our travelling lifestyle. I appreciate all that I have learned from this channel and their contributors.
me and my wife have a small 13' Jayco mini camping trailer, its a bed on wheels with a kitchen on the rear and we like it.. But we have a Dodge minivan and used to camp in it, we put in a full size air mattress, sleeping bags and then put camping utensils in the very back. It was a tight fit but was quick to move and travel and some of our best camping and travel was in that van. Gas mileage was better then the big rigs and more stealth like and easy to park when in the cities. On longer trips where speed and dollars count it was a winner. The only thing that keeps us from going back to fuller use of the minivan is we now have a full size dog and sleeping with her in the van would be problematic. More and more I miss the simplicity of road trips in the van. Less setup time, quicker to get moving again and more nimble plus better gas mileage to help keep us moving and on budget. Road touring trips were a breeze in the van. The simple life was good.

When he got emotional, it really touched my heart. They went through several setbacks, but, they came out through those setbacks shining. God bless them. I can only imagine how their lives changed when they learned a better way to do vehicle dwelling. Clearly it made a huge difference for them both.

What a beautiful couple! They just radiate joy. I couldn’t live in a mini van with my husband. We both have sleep issues at times so we sleep in a king size bed.

What a lovely couple!!! Yes, 100%, just do it n enjoy life and learn along the way! I’ve had a fire in my suv, dead battery in the forest, walking around n around the car for hours because I brought too much n couldn’t find anything, driving off w my tent rope attached to the car, running over my table trying to park, burnt to a crisp in the desert…..experiencing it is the fastest way to learn, believe me! Much blessings n safe travels to the Huttons!

Wonderful interview, thank you for sharing! I needed this message and reminder today as I have been putting off nomad life for the "perfect" timing, which there isn't. I want to get out on the road this year and have been preparing to do so. The more videos I have watched over the years, the more I realize how amazing so many nomads are and I want this lifestyle so badly as well as friends like this.

Never heard of using lemons in place of deoderant... I have been using a salt stick for decades. You perspire without the odor.

I'm curious what they do for income. I wish that question would be brought up more. Sorry their timing for the food truck didn't work out. I wonder if they'd consider doing a food truck for the RVers out there?
Other than hoping for TH-cam income, and some RVers with computer skills to work remotely, how do they make money? Health Insurance? Retirement or emergency fund savings? I get it that it's cheap to camp in a car in the desert but everyone needs some folding money in their pockets. I can see how camping all the time would be relaxing, but most people need to be near a city to work and make some income. I'd like to hear more how to do that.
I think a lot of people do seasonal jobs like the beat harvest, camp ground hosts and many other seasonal jobs they can sign up for at the rubber tramp rendevous. Not ever recommended unless one is desperate to begin without a chunk of savings.. I wouldnt do it with less than 20K to be prepared for car problems, health problems etc..
