Awesome work! I put the same coilovers in my FG. Had them for the better part of 1 and a half years now and can't fault them! EDIT One side of the rear of mine is a few mm higher than the other. I've reinstalled the rear setup once already to verify that the shocks are the same height and everything. My springs are sitting on the black adjustment ring thing with no nuts on them, sitting as low as it can without it sitting on only the springs. Just a falcon thing I guess 🤷♂️ Also, I cut my bump stops in half, only ever hit them once when I had the rears on their softest settings and had a full car (3 in the back seat). I would recommend you do something similar, better than no bump stops at all. 🙂
yeh i think they are really good.. the ride is a lot stiffer at the moment but i havent adjusted them off half yet .. but in the corners its a beast now! full throttle through the roundabout... CYA! haha
Mate a 15mm socket is a 5/8 socket in imperial … for such a big heavy car I reckon your tyre profile is to low it makes for a uncomfortable ride … the look is good but ride wise isn’t great for the passengers or driver as well as car wear and tear …
@@jamesfrench7299 Bilsteins and King springs are the go if you want a decent ride to go with the handling. SSL all round on VE/VF. SSL front and SSSL rear on a BF/FG Falcon (cut the rear bump stops)
The adjuster on the rear should be up the top. BC & Shockworks are the only ones that say the adjuster should be up the top, the rest run it on the bottom.
King springs and Bilstein shocks will transform the car. Slightly bigger rear sway bar aswell. I've never bothered with coil overs for street use but each to their own 👍
i had to change my suspension as they were completely flogged out! but i would imagine they would make a difference but probably not as much as coilovers..
Hi Johnny mate,I just love seeing your passion for such an Aussie icon, hands down one of the best cars ever produced in this great country, piece by piece it's coming together wonderfully, just like Rome wasn't built in a day this car can't be rushed either, take care buddy.
This is not an easy job as most of these videos show, shown clearly in this video. Just a quick tip for anyone doing this, disconnect the sway/roll bar links first, this will help heaps, reconnect when all done, as mentioned. Also, my pre-load was not the best out of the box, springs easily moved up and down, check these before installing. Final tip, most don't know, use Pre-Wash to clean your hands......
Suspension can really boost (pardon the pun) the driving experience. Keep up the good work, watching every episode. I have Bf F6 too and love it and always improving it spending $, but following the dream so all g.
it really does transform the car now so that it can legitimately take corners speed :) Love a BF F6! i've spent a serious amount of cash over the holidays on this so will have a lot of F6 content on the way! gotta chase that dream tho
they are good man.. still a bit hard for some people maybe.. but ive gotta change a lot of my bushes so its hard to tell whats harsh and whats flogged out bushes lol
Car is looking good mate, whats your next mod going to be? You get a nice gain in power if you get a bigger exhaust i gained 30kw thinking about getting a nizpro one my xforce is already starting to rust. Love the videos buddy
not sure warranty was about 3k for the coils.. they are very good tho.. ride is firm but livable and the body roll is eliminated now.. its much more glued to the road now
@@RossReviewsau still reckon you should to do a 2k barra challenge (motor mods $ only) so bushes and maintenance don't count. I'm genuinely keen to see what a couple g gets out of a barra motor these days.
nice work bro
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice work bro ...🤙🏽
Thanks ✌️
Looks dope man! Good job 👍🏼
cheers daniel! more parts are on the way :)
Had an absolute blast man and video came out awesome, hopefully we can help others avoid the problem we did 😂
Most definitely! thanks again brother!

@@RossReviewsau that is the only correct way to go through a roundabout 🤣
How did you find the bc coilovers any bad reviews or mostly good 👍
eBay n they are good coils
@@RossReviewsau I'm gonna go with pedders extreme and see how they go bit more pricey but supposedly a great product !
Totally worth it Johnny
If you have a car it handles better when it’s lower to the ground
it handles so so much better around the corners
Good to see the F6 getting some love 👌
lots more love for it on the way!

F6 looking awsome Ross. Way better looking when lowered 🤙
Definitely! now time for the fat intercooler!
looks awesome
I just insured my BF Typhoon for 40k. They are going for heaps now and more rare than the FG
i better upgrade mine lol think its only at 20k
@@RossReviewsau They are worth over 20k now
Looks great Ross....getting better all the time. Looking forward to the new exhaust.
You and me both! so keen for the exhaust.. oh and also a stage 2 process west intercooler kit :)
Do I hear an exhaust leak?
Yes 😅
I have same coil overs on my VF. Gets rid of the boat feeling.. Glued to the road,,
makes a huge difference eh :) very happy with them and the ride hight
But is it compliant? If it's bone jarring, I want body roll back.

Would king springs also improve the handling of the car or are coil overs needed for this?

Looks sick man I recently added XYZ coil overs to my car they settle abouts 5-10mm over night so will drop a little more
yeh its settled just about perfect for me! very happy with the result and the cornering now is NIGHT AND DAY!

Well said! thanks pete! lots of parts coming in for this beast soon! so very excited to get to work on it
Review the ek civic
what do ya reckon @joydirve haha
Hey mate, did you adjust the rear springs to the lowest they are capable of? Thanks
yes i put them all the way down on the rear.. not crazy low but just right i think

thanks for them pointers! it 100% is not an easy job lol.. def make sure you do it with 1 other person
Does it make a huge difference and takes the body roll away
MASSIVE.. it stiffens the cars ride a bit but almost 0 body roll in mine now..
nice mate! get your guards rolled next
havent given me an issue yet :)

really happy with how its sitting now!
Audio was a bit how ya going
Just off my camera that’s why😅
What do you think of the coilovers now you're ran them for awhile? Cheers.

How much better is the handling!! It was a night and day difference on mine on the track :)
oh BIG TIME!!! i took some roundabouts at full speed and nothing.. not one bit of lift or roll!🤯
I also recommend a camber kit. Youll need the extra adjustment to get a good alignment now.
cheers man.. just had it aligned today actually
Man that was an excellent how too. Id love to lower my xr8, but will pay a shop to do it, plus the rear leafs look like all kinds of nightmarish
thanks man! yes i would say on a ute could be a lot more tricky lol this was doable but you need another person.
