He should do that more, the 'Ola riff' is a meme but it does make me forget how well Ola can play the classics if he just plays the same 3 riffs when testing shit.
what? It's really not even that close to the original tone at all, at least not on the album version. His version sounds way better than the original album tone. The original is very heavy on the attack with not much bass or harmonic content. Ola's is much more saturated, a lot more gain, and just overall sounds more interesting.

That's definitely one of the Gibson's I could consider buying, however Kramer's take on that might be closer to reality because of price and esp. availability. And honestly I think Kramer's V-shape reminds me more about Dave than that Gibson, but that might be just me.

I saw Megadeth a few times back in 89 and 90. That was definitely when Mustaine was at his best. The stuff off RIP is killer and the really heavy early stuff. 🤟🏻
Such an ugly guitar but it sounds really good. Love SD pickups. Got a Nazgul/Sentient set a while back and they're much better than anything else I've ever had, even the Warpigs I have in my LTD. The Thrash Factor would sound great in modern metal/metalcore but I feel like it would lose its tightness the lower tuned you go.
Man I almost purchased this guitar but instead I picked the Gibson Firebird, the mini humbuckers are surprisingly good in D standard/Drop C tuning. The V will have to wait another year. Overall, great demo Papa Ola!
I got a gibson flying V in 2021.. Amazing guitar.. My only complaint may be the scale length after being use to a strat. This guitar with the extended scale seems like it may be perfect. Exp stands for expensive....
So these models were first coming out to the general public around the time that I purchased my SG. If I had decided to be a bit more patient I probably would’ve gotten the green version of this guitar, but I enjoy my SG right now, and I definitely plan to buy one of these V’s in a few years once I am more financially stable
Dave Mustaine is like Petrucci and others in that he had an iconic signature model, but then moved company and made something worse
Damn I heard those riffs, now I need to listen to the whole Rust in Peace album. One of my favourites, right up there with And Justice For All..
Man I almost purchased this guitar but instead I picked the Gibson Firebird, the mini humbuckers are surprisingly good in D standard/Drop C tuning. The V will have to wait another year. Overall, great demo Papa Ola!
Love the return of the JVM! 🤘
I got a gibson flying V in 2021.. Amazing guitar.. My only complaint may be the scale length after being use to a strat. This guitar with the extended scale seems like it may be perfect. Mine is still amazing though.. Changing out the Burst Buckers for Ceramic Bare Knuckles in the coming weeks.. Excited
I dig that your verging out of your lane and showing respect to Mustaine he's a beloved Thrash pioneer!
been waiting for this video, thanks, beautiful V, love the simplicity and that headstock
Been wondering about this guitar a lot! I do want a Gibson guitar some day in my life, and it may not be traditional. But I want to play it and enjoy it, not just collecting because of brand.
Excellent. I played one, well balanced and a blast to play. The sound was on the bassy side, this then to get muddy on fast links.
beautiful guitar
Killing it Ola! Great opening! 🤟
Jvm sounded good also!
A wild Gibson that I'd actually enjoy buying has appeared!
You nailed the riffs and tone! Good job. My favorite tone on this channel so far, but I am a thrash guy, hence the bias.
Wow wow wow, it sounds fantastic !!!!
No way i'd spend 3 or 4k€ for it but i really dig how brutal and massive it sounds.
