Hi, got my filter holder from Haida, and a Benro 10 stop nd, omg, this combo blows everything into history, long exposure, fine art, Tamron 15-30 for Canon.
Best transition EVER!!!! lol I vote for the dog nose transition next...also, that's some epically spiky b-roll. Those Benro filters are making me seriously envious, and that last vertical cactus shot was fantastic!!!!
Thanks Mike, It's going to be hotter than hell this week in our area (Mesa). Time to head North! And by the way, your vlogs are really improving. Very much enjoying them.
Perfect video looking for the adapter for my Tamron 15-30 going to get the same adapter. As far as the as far as the benro tripod the problem that I have with them is where they lock down on the center column you can still turn the center column they don't completely lock the center column down where its unturnable.
In the market for filters for my D750 so this video was timed perfectly from my perspective. So impressed I decided to activate the bell feature. The final photo results were the deal clincher.
William Mcdonald wow that’s awesome! Thank you! And I’m a huge fan of the Benro filters. To be honest, I use the tripods as well. Just great products! The filters are pricey but definitely worth it!
Why did you not go for the Haida 10 stop as you've gone to the trouble of getting the Haida holder? I'm using the same lens, same holder with Haida 10 stop filter, zero colour cast and a lot cheaper than the Benro.
Thank you for informative video. I just ordered nisi 150mm filter holder for my tamron 15-30mm g2. My question was i am Looking to start with only 1 filter and mostly sunset sunrise pics and waterfall occasionally.. what filter would you recommend.. is the 6 stop filter best one to start with ? Thank you for your time
Mike, I'm on ebay looking at the Benro filters and most come from China did you buy one from China? Also, the Benro filter holder looks nice as well what do you think about them?
hey i have enough information now about photography and i really appreciate everything you have done for me. well i have notice f1.8 is better but i'm going to try out a few lenses tomorrow at my buddy house and see how good it does on my old camera the 10.1 megapixel one. i'm going to buy the canon 50mm from amazon and deal with that for awhile and then i will look at the tamron 35-150 i heard a lot of good things about that lens and then i heard good things about the tamron 17-35 and i'm also hearing good things about the sigma 18-35. he have a nice camera bag and he have 2 cameras and 4 lenses 1 full frame and 1 crop sensor that's cool. he was showing me the difference between full frame and crop and i love what i'm hearing with the full frame one. but i will definitely buy the canon 80d and the canon 6d and i'm done 3 cameras is all you need and i will see which one i will use the most lol. i already have an tamron 18-200 and i want the tamron 35-150 and the 50mm and the tamron 17-35 and the 10-18 that's 5 lens but i will see which ones i will decide to go with. so with those lenses i mention i want you to tell me what you think about those nices lenses
I definitely struggle with color casting with my Lee ND filters. Especially the 15 stops. Interesting comparison. I always wonder that these filter makers profit margins are. 😂🤔. Thanks for sharing dude.
Mike , You are the Scene Transition Master! Good stuff. Thanks for the info on the filters, very helpful. I have a question about that tripod you're using. Whats the model number of that Benro, I like their stuff as well. Thanks and keep up the humor part of your vlogs.
Robert H 😂😂transition master!!! 🤙🏼 thank you for watching man! The tripod I’m using is the Mach 3 48CXL. If you give me about an hour I’ll post the amazon link in the description! I’ll reply to this when I get it done 👊🏼
Hi! i needs some help and looks like you might be able to help me out i am looking for filter system for my tamron 150mm and looks like Benro system which is ($190) on one of the website is the way to go... My question is what kind of filters can i use on it in terms of thickness and size and what companies... do i have to buy from Benro or i can buy lee or Nisi filters as well.... is there a particular size and thickness i need to abide by (which i am sure there but trying to see what it is )... also what do you recommend if i want to get 1 or max 2 filters... to get started.
Tulan Kantesaria you can use any 150mm square filters from any of the brands with the Benro holder. For your first filters I’d say a 6 stop and circular polarizer!
@@PereaPhotography You're welcome! Thank you for making this video; it is very informative. I came from Formatt-Hitech square and Hoya round filters. I've tried NiSi filters too, but Benro is the best that I've used.
James Leahy some people want to spend less time on the computer. I use both methods, depending on the situation. It’s just preference. Some people prefer filters, some prefer exposure blending. Neither is wrong. Whatever gives you the result you want is all that matters.
Factologist no not at all. I find that the style of image you generally take using a 10 stop doesn’t rely on details being ultra sharp. It’s about movement and mood. And from what I’ve shot I don’t see a big reduction in overall sharpness
@@PereaPhotography Agree to disagree on that one. Not everything in the image will be moving and that which isn't needs to be sharp. I find the contrast between the softness and sharpness is very important and appealing.
Factologist thank you for the point of view. Definitely love hearing different perspectives on these things. Truth is for me, I use my 10 stop maybe 1% of my photography. So it mostly gathers dust in its case haha.

Brent Hall why thank you man! I’m going to have to make the wet dog nose transition “a thing.”
Great information! I just purchased the same holder and two filters and cant wait to try it out with my D850 and Tamron 15-30 G2
Chris good luck man!
Thanks Mike, It's going to be hotter than hell this week in our area (Mesa). Time to head North! And by the way, your vlogs are really improving. Very much enjoying them.

Diego McCartney seriously. It can’t be very much to make them. The price is crazy but I must say the benros are really amazing
Blue cast red cast or cyan cast magenta cast. Maybe use one or the other. I use Lee filters and they do lean toward cyan.

Hey I just put the link to the webpage on Benro. I guess You can't buy it through amazon right now.
Hello Mike, iam working with the Lee seven5 System but i think i must by the Benro System. Great Video! Thanks
Momo Frank thank you so much for watching! I absolutely love my Benro Filters!
nice so with that filter holder kit you can you use the same kit for other lenses with just in adapter?
P-sharp yes you can!

Beautiful images!
TheGreensticker thank you so much!
Great filters from Benro albeit pricey! I found a 150mm CPL on eBay as well as a Benro filter holder for the 15-30.
Jim Livingston nice! I love them! I wish I could’ve found a cpl for mine before I bought the Lee!
I love Benro filters. Even their cheaper circular filters are much better than the competition.
Ivan Rivera I agree! Definitely amazing filters! Thank you so much for watching Ivan. Cheers!

Why just not use bracketing to achieve the same or better results for no added cost and less time?

is that a joby slr zoom 3k?
Sohail Alam it is the Joby 5k!
Not really worried about sharpness on a 10 stop ND?? huh?
