Media is a fourth pillar of the our constitution. Media should be unbiased and need to be focus on relevant topics and issues like women safety, poverty,illiteracy,healthcare,unemployment,pollution,population control,education,economic condition etc.as well as political issues,judicial issues,social issues.

Good stock-taking discussion, very well moderated. But please have a more diverse panel and include non-English media reps. The first question in the q&a went largely unaddressed. The English/hindi divide does exist, not on TV as much anymore but on print. And Nidhi's response to the Kashmir question could have been less defensive. The liberal media is in as much need of introspection about its coverage of Kashmir, as is the illiberal media.

Actually there is no balanced media...most of national media is either pro or anti establishment, and don't go beyond Delhi, Mumbai as far as news coverage is concerned...
