  • Failure is hard... And not something we like to talk about. The spring hasn't even started and I already feel like I'm failing the season. However, homesteading is about overcoming the hard, so talk it out, talk yourself up and start again.

The jars behind you speak of your success, it's all good.

Don’t give up! We learn from our mistakes. I just found your channel, I excited to follow you on your journey. You showed in this video how honest you are. Keep up the amazing journey of homesteading. It’s not easy but it’s very rewarding. Prayers are with you on your journey.

This to shall pass. 😊 The fact that it is not ok with you is the first step towards getting it the way you want. Good luck with the new seed starting. It happens to the best of us. Stay strong you got this. God Bless 🙏🏽

I just retired from working twenty years with special needs teens in my large local high schools. When I have a hard day I think back to a freshman girl named Elizabeth who had MS and was in a wheelchair. She could not speak and her face was frozen where she could not even smile. We ate lunch everyday with another wheelchair girl Kathy. Both girls could not even feed themselves and mean girls use to stare at them. It was horrible for them. BUT, I thought of a solution. I use to bring tons of cookies everyday and put chairs all around them. The kids use to fight to sit with us. It turned a bad situation into a fun lunchtime party everyday. My point is: You never know what test God is going to give you, do the best you can. Think of others who have it harder. Think of others before yourself and your troubles won’t seem too big. Count your blessing everyday.✝️💕

Is it the foot or the leg??? We used bandaids to straighten ours and it worked out really well

Thanks for the suggestion. Band aids are a really good idea. We did bind her legs, but she passed after a week

@@urbantraditionalists-conte9756 Awww, Paddy died? That is sad. I was hoping he would make it. And I know you said you failed at homesteading this time but saying so while standing in front of the fruits of your hard labour tells a different story. Sure, your seeds failed, your chick had a fatal deformity, but YOU have NOT failed. You have accomplished so much, learned so much in the short time you've been doing this. You amaze me constantly. Failure is not even the last word I would use to describe you, it isn't even in the running!!! You are a woman of character and hard work. You are a treasure!!!!

The mold on the top of the soil might be due to to much moisture. Or not enough airflow. I have that problem in my basement and now we have a dehumidifier down there. The leggy plants if you have a light over them lower it down. This happened to me they are reaching for the light and i was realized my shop light/grow light was too high. Yes i used a light out of my husbands garage because i didnt want to buy one and it works great. You've got this and i hope i do this year. The deer ate almost all of my garden last year and i'm going to hopefully be getting new cord for my electric fence. The year before the deer barely ate anything. Good luck and may God Bless you in your Journey!❤
