hehehe. i was about to ask about it too tho.. Gosh you got good lighting stuff!!! I loved it !!! I wanna invest some for the black stuff at the sides too. what should i buy anyways
I seriously love you for the content you give us all! I've been following you on instagram for a while and cannot get over your images! Once again thank you
That's Beautiful, Anita! Thank you for your videos, your lighting tips are really usefull for us, who shoot mostly in natural light. And I love your shots of Tabea!
The black boards are going to do 2 things. Prevent light contamination from reflections off the walls. And possibly give minimal black reflections on the sides. Unless you are using something like Duvetyne or more absorbent paint, even the black side will reflect some light, but it will be black and generally not be noticed. Use the white side and it will fill in the shadows.
Tried this setup today and it looked great except there was too much light hitting the background. I probably had the model too far from the light so we will try again tomorrow.
Hey Anita! I've seen you're using photodiox beauty dish (as described at kit.com). Which other manufacturer which ships from Europe would you recommend?
Your videos are my weekly treats. :) I saw the Miss Universe Pageant last night and was thinking... how would Anita shoot pageant looks? HaHa... Not sure if Pageants are big in your area but there are so many pageants going on in the US right now its hard to ignore.
Very informative! So are those boards u use it as black flags are from polystyrene boards and u just painted on with black? It kinda looks like another material u have.
Boeijk1 it’s just painted polystyrene boards. Make sure to pick a matte black paint and maybe test it out on a little piece first to see how it reacts to the paint
Saw the photos on ur site b4 u uploaded the video and really wanted to know how u lit it. The model doesn’t seem too far from the background (almost 1.5m), so y is the white background so dark
roberto cordero I tend to shoot macro beauty at f22 to ensure all is in focus. Since then, I started doing that in my fashion work too. Other than that there is no reason really.
Anita Sadowska oh ok because it is known that at f/16 and on diffraction sets in and makes your images softer as apposed to sharper. Thanks for the reply.
Hey everybody! The settings at 6:01 should be f20 not f2! Apologies for that!
Anita Sadowska yea I was like no way you got all that focused at f2 haha
Ugh.. Why you always lying!

Kevin Rebollo Go check at DIY or building stores for polystyrene boards. Then just paint one side black with matte black paint.
I love the drama of the lighting, especially on the model's sharp face
I am absolutely loving your videos lately, I am definitely going to try and replicate this lighting for an upcoming shoot! Amazing video as always!
imtomhall yaaay! So glad you’re enjoying the content! And good luck with the setup :D
Would love to see a video like this for your beauty shoots!

TJ Kamdjalov so glad you find my tips helpful! I started with natural light only myself, so I know how confusing studio can be!
Anita, I really love your channel and how you explain things, just right! 👍
Love your videos Anita! And the way you explain things. Thank you :) I will definitely give a try of that light set up
Kristina Tsvetkova glad you Like it! And thank you ❤️
Anita I did enjoy your high fashion studio light set up I Love to follow you to learn I assumed it can be good for people like us thanks
Great explanation and beautiful results as always! :)
Absolutely love your work and videos
Stunning
Thank you! Cheers!
i love the high fashion look you create ...
Your videos are awesome, Anita.
Her skin looks so good! I wanna retouch photos of her! haha
OMG great video. I feel like I just asked you and you answered what I wanted to know in this video!!!
Loved the deep information about lighting. I find myself creeping on your light setup anyways so i am glad you just told me lol. Great vid!
Thank You!
Great images Anita!
Billy Tz thank you :)
Thanks a lot. I will try this setup soon. Is this setup ok for full body pictures too? :-)
Anita, shooting f20-f22 kills all the detail away with diffraction. I would stay under f/14 on full frame, with f8-f11 probably being the sweet spot
I think she knows the look she wants, and her images reflect that lol.
Wow amazing 😭😭😭
Love your videos and can't wait for the next one!
Can you tell me a title of a song at 5:41?
Great final images ))
Anita, wonderful channel and insta. How do you get such dewy makeup on the models? Want to incorporate that dewy look in my fotos! thank you

Thanks for the explanation!
Is the light above her a Speed light? Or Thr same strobe in the Beauty dish?
Tried this setup today and it looked great except there was too much light hitting the background. I probably had the model too far from the light so we will try again tomorrow.
it's all about trial and error! best of luck!

Can you achieve the same effect with flash speelite instead of studio lights?
Your videos are my weekly treats. :) I saw the Miss Universe Pageant last night and was thinking... how would Anita shoot pageant looks? HaHa... Not sure if Pageants are big in your area but there are so many pageants going on in the US right now its hard to ignore.
Jeff Jean i was actually asked to shoot the miss universe in ireland but had to decline, not my cup of tea! ❤️
My mua has your name.....Anita, as always number 1. ;)
What was the power of the fill light at the top?
Very informative! So are those boards u use it as black flags are from polystyrene boards and u just painted on with black? It kinda looks like another material u have.
Boeijk1 Hey! It’s just thick polysterene painted black :)
Boeijk1 it’s just painted polystyrene boards. Make sure to pick a matte black paint and maybe test it out on a little piece first to see how it reacts to the paint
Thanks for the quick reply! Keep up the amazing work :)
Thanks for the tip!
which light is the one that is flashing? or is it an on camera flash?
Hello! What size is your polystyrene board please?
What is the the f-stop ratio between the two light sources?
Thank for sharing.
How long did the retouching take?
Ll G between 15-30 mins per image :)
Saw the photos on ur site b4 u uploaded the video and really wanted to know how u lit it.
The model doesn’t seem too far from the background (almost 1.5m), so y is the white background so dark
aditya kendale i darkened it in Photoshop :)
Ok. Big fan of ur photography and retouching 👌🏻👌🏻
F22 Seams a bit much since diffraction sets in and works against the sharpness of the image. Any reason why you needed to use f22?
roberto cordero I tend to shoot macro beauty at f22 to ensure all is in focus. Since then, I started doing that in my fashion work too. Other than that there is no reason really.

This.
看了马上就想动手试试
Is the model wearing real fur?
