    I was able to grow my hair back with liittleextra reactivate hair growth serum. Taken a three-month apart. First one in Jan, second in March. You must apply the serum directly to the scalp and massage into skin with very little pressure. Avoid pull on your hair. The hair coming in seems to be good quality. There's been less hair fall over all. I apply it at night, the serum does not make your hair sticky, but you only need a few drops to work - less is more. Additionally, switched pillows cases to satin so that my sleep is easier on my hair.

      I have been applying serum of reactivate for a few weeks, and I'm truly satisfied by the effects. My hair feels stronger, seems better, and the amount of hair fall has clearly lessened. The serum is simple to use, non-greasy, and has no fragrance.

    I think that dry scalp means that your scalp doesn't produce enough oil to lubricate the surface of your skin and hair. While dandruff is caused by oily scalp.

      I think you have dry scalp. But the cause of your increased flakes seems to be that shampoo. I have a dry scalp all the while I thought I have dandruff. I have those white flakes and that itches if o dont wash my hair more than 2 days and shampoo once in a week. Use a gentle shampoo and conditioner and use it once or twice a weak. And oil your head 3 times a week. Keep changing your pillow cover and bed cover within a week it will be good if you change pillow cover twice a week. And dont forget to wash your comb regularly in 2 days. This is how I control my dry scalp. But I'm not any doctor please consult a dermatologist. I just shared my tips with you. Hope it helps. ❤

      Okay, so here is what will most likely work for you:
      - At night, wash hair with water *every day*
      - Follow up with a conditioner; rinse off after 5 mins.
      - Use a moisturizing cream / serum afterwards. (Little is enough if you have short hair)
      Tip: Never, NEVER let your wet scalp air dry. When you put water on skin/hair, and then if it naturally evaporates, it takes away the surrounding water molecules from your scalp/skin too, making it more dry. ALWAYS pat dry your wet hair and and apply something (serum / moisturizer) on damp hair.

    Go to a pharmacy. Ask for ketoconazole 1% or 2%. If they don't have it, ask for an alternative antifungal dandruff wash.
    Wet hair, massage into scalp. Leave for 30mins (instructions say 3mins. 30mins is better)
    Wash out with an off-the-shelf anti-dandruff shampoo. Rinse.
    Do it again in 2-3 days. Do this for a few weeks and you'll be a new person! 👍😉

      @MichaelJeffrey Ketoconazole is indeed a powerful antifungal treatment for dandruff, and using it as you've described can be very effective. Leaving it on longer than the instructions suggest can sometimes enhance its effectiveness, but be sure to monitor your scalp for any irritation. Combining it with an anti-dandruff shampoo and adjusting the frequency over time sounds like a solid plan for long-term control. I have eczema so I thought I just have dry scalp, but my hair gets oily within one day and gets itchier the oilier it is, making me think I have dandruff. I have tried dandruff shampoos which did not really help. I also tried washing my hair less frequently which also didn't help much. Sooo what's going on?

      @@riricalderon9261 My hairstylist told me I just have dry scalp and not dandruff. She said a lot of people think they have dandruff when they don’t, and that dandruff is bigger and chunkier whereas dry scalp is small thin flakes. I found a shampoo that works for me and I just use that consistently every other day, and my scalp is less itchy now. I find that massaging my scalp thoroughly and rinsing really well helps too. I think leftover products or buildup in my scalp was irritating me.

      I find that using small amounts of hair oil (max 8 drops, less if you have thin hair) helps the dryness. I’m on accutane too. I use olive oil because it’s cheap and easy to get. The only problem with this is that those oils need to be washed out very carefully, and I would recommend you to watch a video on hair oiling.

    The rest of my body isn’t really flaky unless I didn’t moisturise it properly lol

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @mayarpapayar It sounds like you might be dealing with a combination of dandruff and a dry scalp. The white flakes and itchiness, especially around your hairline and the back of your head, are common symptoms of dandruff, which can be caused by an overgrowth of yeast or a sensitivity to hair products. However, the dryness you describe might also indicate a dry scalp, possibly exacerbated by not moisturizing enough. It might be helpful to try a moisturizing shampoo or treatment specifically for dry scalp while continuing with the anti-dandruff shampoo. Consulting a dermatologist could give you more personalized advice and a definitive answer.

    Is it possible to have both?

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, it is possible to have both dandruff and a dry scalp, although they are distinct conditions with different causes and characteristics. Dandruff is often associated with an overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus called Malassezia on the scalp, leading to increased shedding of skin cells, which appear as white flakes. On the other hand, a dry scalp results from the lack of sufficient moisture, causing itching and flaking.
      In some cases, people may experience a combination of factors, leading to both conditions concurrently. For instance, a dry scalp may occur due to environmental factors, such as cold weather or excessive use of harsh shampoos, while dandruff may be triggered by the presence of the Malassezia fungus. It's important to identify the primary cause to choose the most effective treatment. Using a moisturizing shampoo for dry scalp and an anti-dandruff shampoo for dandruff may be recommended. If you are unsure about the specific condition of your scalp, consulting with a dermatologist can help determine the appropriate course of action for effective treatment.

    • @MedicalCentric
      @MedicalCentric  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The red skin on your hairline could be due to various reasons, such as irritation, inflammation, or an allergic reaction. It's important to consider factors like the products you use on your hair and scalp, as well as any recent changes in your routine. To determine the cause and address your specific condition, consult with a healthcare professional or a dermatologist for a thorough examination and appropriate treatment, whether it's related to dry scalp, dandruff, or another skin condition.

      It sounds like you might be dealing with dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis, which can cause dry, itchy scalp and white flakes. Dry, split ends and an itchy scalp can also be signs of overall dryness or damage. To address these issues, consider using a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for dry or flaky scalps. Regularly applying a gentle, hydrating scalp treatment or oil might help, and avoiding excessive heat styling or harsh hair products can reduce further damage. If symptoms persist, consulting a dermatologist can help determine the exact cause and appropriate treatment.

      @MedicalCentric  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It sounds like you might have dandruff, especially due to the bad smell and itching. Dandruff often involves a fungus on the scalp, leading to an oily, itchy scalp with flaking. To treat it, use anti-dandruff shampoos containing ingredients like ketoconazole, zinc pyrithione, or selenium sulfide. Regular washing can help reduce oiliness and remove flakes. If your condition doesn't improve or worsens, it's important to see a dermatologist for a more specific diagnosis and treatment. Remember, effective treatment often requires consistent use of these specialized products.

      Using soap and water alone isn't the most effective way to treat dandruff, as it's often caused by an oily scalp, yeast overgrowth, or skin conditions like seborrheic dermatitis. To better manage dandruff, you might want to try a medicated shampoo that contains ingredients like ketoconazole, selenium sulfide, or zinc pyrithione.
