I´ve just turned 39 years old and I am a man. I have recently discovered a lump just on the side of my left nipple. It stings and hurts, when I touch the lump and the nipple, so hopefully it won´t be breast cancer. I am going to get checked tomorrow.
To all women AND men: If you feel or see something change in your body, just contact your doctor immediately and have it checked out. It´s the best choice. Good luck to all of you out there!

@@beatcipher I thank you for your thoughts and concerns. I apologize for not answering before now, but it´s been a busy and exhausting time period for me.
My doctor looked at me the first time and felt the lump in my left chest. However she wanted to see, if it would go away on its owen and so I had to come back after 2 weeks for a second check. She told me both the first and second time, that she didn´t think, it was cancer, because of the pain I was describing. Normally cancer lumps will apparently be painless.
After the second visit, I got an appointment at breast cancer facillity at the hospital. After multiple questions and a very thorough examination, the doctor concluded, that is was NOT a cancer lump. I was really glad and relieved about that.
To all women and men who feels some change and suspect one or multiple lumps: Don´t waste any precious time. Get to your doctor as quickly as possible and have it checked out. It´s the best thing, you can do (even if anxiety plays a huge role as well).
Stay safe to all of you!
