On the band sampler, it appears that one of the flowers doesn’t have a center was that on purpose? It is so beautiful though. Thank you for sharing. Personally i love the more muted colors and cant wait for its release Jesse Chalmers….(sp)

Hello - when I release the talk on band samplers later this week I address this. I think this was a deliberate act on Bathya’s part. The seedless sunflower represents Catherine of Braganza, the one with seeds the King who had numerous illegitimate children.

Lovely floss tube! I have Martha Walmsly and Sarah Milthorpe in the wings waiting until I complete Sarah Spencer so they can be stitched. ( I am a painfully slow stitcher ) . However, I don’t think I can resist Jesse!! She needs to be included! I would work her in the muted colors. I love the reversible sampler you completed and that you have the back sealed. I hope you’ve included your rationale so that 100 years from now, you will make the owner smile!

I love the actual colors of samplers. So i would definitely stitch the back of the sampler. I wish you would always give a color conversion of the back of samplers, but i know it's a lot of work and sometimes the back of a work is not accessible.
Oh, that band sampler is so beautiful. I've been hesitant to start a band sampler since i stitch with qsnaps, etc. I would be afraid my work would suffer from constant movement of my qsnaps.
Thank you for the lovely video as always! Have a great week.

My preference is the colors on the front. I adore a more muted palette. The sampler is beautiful. I just purchased Martha Walmsley 1847 and I am excited to get the booklet. Before any other samplers though I must forge ahead with The Rose Wreath. I ordered a Needle Needs stand and I am so enjoying it. I also purchased the Millenial Frame. I so agree with one of the comments below (nancyevans7609). I am a beginner stitcher , but have been a quilter for decades and color is important , although I also seem to love the samplers stitched in just one color, I found when I see them. But when there are a lot of colors I love the original ones, let there be color! So my choice would be the back, those were the colors chosen by the maker of the original sampler.
