Great tips about keeping our pets out of our stitching and keeping out stitching out of our pets. I will have to go look for the tweezers with a lighted magnifier. That looks incredibly handy.
I'm always petrified when I drop a needle that my cat will see the thread and mistake it for a toy; so if I drop a threaded needle, everything immediately stops until it's found. I have a difficult time keeping fur off my work because my kitty loves to sit and watch that lovely thread wiggle around as I work or do head butts which jiggle my hoop (I've gotten quite adept at avoiding needle stabs and the results blood drops.)
At the end of a stitching session, everything goes into a bag or covered somehow to keep curious noses and paws out of my work and fur from landing all over everything. I also keep a lint roller handy to run over things when it's shedding season; that has helped vastly.
Nicola, thank you as always for great tips and updates with HATS.

What a fantastic idea to protect your scissor tips! Thank you so much for sharing! I love the cheeky title of this video 😄
I also use a white eraser to get "frog fluff" off of my linen--such a nifty tool that has been repurposed for stitching!

Nicola, I haven’t even watched the show yet!! The title alone, had me check twice, to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. 😅😂. You are too funny. ❤

That display of your samplers and the quilt and the Doulton plate and everything was a feast for my eyes! Thanks! I love the small Mexican sampler. I was surprised that it's only using 2 colors of floss. It's beautiful.

Very interesting, that Mexican sampler. I really, really have to make some decisions about what I am going to stitch because there are so many choices! As for protecting my scissor points when I put them into a block, I have just put a tiny bit of quilt batting (just a 1/4" square or so) down into the holes in the blocks and I think that is enough to protect them. I don't drop the scissors into the block, I set them down, so I think that gives enough padding to suit my needs. Thanks for sharing all the interesting things!

Hello Nicola, loved all the tips. Do you have info you are able to share about how/where to have printing done on velvet? That is a such a great idea, thank you.

Hello - I use a commercial fabric printing company for the Hands Across the Sea Samplers range of fabric. You have to order in bulk meterage and I added the panels to one such order. I am not sure of they would do one off panels but I can ask them.

Thanks so much for sharing with us your beautiful stitchy tools that seem very handy. Your last sampler with roses in the center looks really gorgeous. The panel to do a project bag is a brilliant idea. If only knew how make them. Thank you for everything. Isapassions. ❤

    Buenas noches Nicola
